Dude, G Vis my last name is Vis! I had this album back when it came out. Had their second one too. Sounds Alice in Chains-ish to me now. Surprisingly, I think I could still listen to them. Damn what are the odds...Vis...commenting on a kind of rare/forgotten band
I saw these guys open for White zombie at flashes in Cleveland what a killer killer concert at the best venue ever rip to that place like all good venues these days
Yea.....I was there back in the days with all these grunge bands.....in the rehearsal rooms in West Seattle.....l can say I lived it......Learned to play guitar with Owen.....🤟🤟
Yup. The Alice In Chains parallel is absolutely there. Riffs and vocals sound incredibly similar to Jerry and Layne. You can tell they played together.
Thank you youtube! I remember this video from Headbangers Ball. It's just as awesome now as then. My Sisters Machine, the personification of under rated.
The guy who directed this video also directed the original music video for Sea of Sorrow by AIC. The one where Layne had the whole Jedi thing going on with his hair style as another RU-vidr cleverly commented.
I remember hearing these guys on MTVs Headbangers Ball back in 1992, great stuff. Man I miss the Seattle Grunge days. AIC, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone. This was a killer tune. Man where can I find the Diva album?
You can find copies of the CD on eBay, I just bought a copy just now for £10.99 GBP. This band's sound reminds me a lot of Alice In Chains. Great band from the classic Grunge era!
first time I listened to this I was 14, today some random thing reminded me of it, and I'm so thankful that theres such thing as youtube where you can just listen to it
Obrigado pelo retorno após 16 anos. Com certeza não só os fans brasileiros como os de todo o mundo ficaram orgulhosos. Sucessos !!!! Vocês realmente merecem muito !!!
lead singer was the vocalist for aic when it was Alice in Chainz... this is the only band that I can place beside by AIC. his vocals aren't as snarly as Layne's but they're bossanova. .. this video screams Ozzy
@bluebyu64gp both of these posts shouldn't matter that much but this info does make me want to take a closer look. i didn't dislike MSM when they came out just didn't like them enough to follow.
I love My Sister’s Machine! Totally forgotten! Can’t find it anywhere but the little holes in walls and cracks in pavement! Maybe it’s RU-vid, but it seems like his vocals are mixed too weakly against the instrumentals in this song.
I'm so confused right now... I'm meant to be finding an album for my dad for his birthday, and I can't remember if mum said the band Wallflower, or the album Wallflower, and according to wikipedia these guys have an album called wallflower... But there's a band called wallflower... So terribly confused...
Wallflowers were a band with Jakob Dylan (Bob Dylan's son). This band is My Sisters Machine...their 2nd cd release was called Wallflower. This is the better band :)
Yeah I knew chris I don't think he knew Jerry or lane from Allison. Chains, for one thing, like he says. In his interview on headbanger's ball since I knew him and I lived in the same neighborhood he lived in. I don't remember Jerry or Chris. Living in that neighborhood? Anyway, we had a mutual brand name Drake and we played instruments. Before chris ever started playing A base so I found it amusing that he went on to be in a band and eventually became a police officer. Anyways, Rick. What's up? If you're out there? It's Jason. Jason.
Mistrust broke up, Lyane left Alice in Chains version 1.0. Nick had great vocal talent as you can hear in this video ! Alice in chains version 1.0 break up also spawned " Second Coming " Another Great Seattle grunge band. Jeff Hubbard
I saw them open for Pantera and Crowbar in 1992. I liked them more than Crowbar (not Pantera lol). Good band. The singer was in an early incarnation of AIC, so the sound is definitely similar
This is a really cool song and I love, love, LOVE the Seattle sound of this era, but unfortunately these dudes (like Green Apple Quick Step, Gruntruck etc.) were signed just a tad too late to ride the wave, I guess…
Gruntruck were amazing… should have been way bigger than they were. Inside Yours and Push were incredible records. People missed out on them and unfortunately the band missed out on the success they deserved.
+Darrin Connor Nick Pollock, the guitarist of this band, was the original guitarist of Alice N Chains, the Laynes Staley's first band before joining Alice IN Chains, notice the difference of spelling of the two AIC's? though ya i agree, this is a Man in a Box rip off, but its decent and the band is actually good. Their albums are good.
