I want the secret underground deep storage vault that Tony used to store his suits in Iron man 3.... That thing was cool as hell... I want a basement that looks and opens up like that... It's will be super cool
Normally I watch your videos to inspire me to push my home automation further, but today you taught me a Google Home command I never knew! How did I not know you can do calls between devices?! This is great, thanks Reed
It doe something similar. For example if I simply say "Play music." Google might respond with "Sure.." or "Alright.." However when I say "Do me a favor and play music please." Google responds with something like "Of course, my pleasure!" I'm sure Google Assistant could be on the level of Jarvis wit, but it probably isn't available to the public yet.
I love your videos. The best part is when you add comedy to it and involve your kiddo. I think it's funny how your daughter and wife always uses the smart home against you. I laugh every time.
I actually have a "Drop my needle" routine for my turntable. When the player I have (AT-LP60) is unplugged you're able to queue up the start button so it auto starts next time it's powered, simple smart home switch works perfectly. It is just a one time use but I usually change the record before the next time I use it anyway so I just have it turn off the switch once the receiver isn't drawing amps and then change the album press start so its ready the next time I use it.
I saw this one pop up after watching SlackerLabs channel video on how he added Jarvis to his home. He did it on a bit more complex level, even using a voice that sounded like Jarvis. Technology is making the movies almost able to be reality.
Yeah! I’m looking forward to what they’ll do with voice recognition. I don’t know if anyone has reported on this, but initially I chose Australian female as my voice assistant and I noticed that none of the locations were able to be picked up by her, both on Siri and with Alexa. That was because she thought I was in Australia, and so none of the local towns were picked up for weather or directions. I was all excited that I had a sexy Australian assistant, and yet none of her directions or her cities were close to mine. I would so appreciate much better voice to text recognition.
Well keep in mind Jarvis was all programmed and written by Tony plus running off his own satellite so that definitely played a major part in Jarvis' ability to be plugged into the internet making his capabilities practically unlimited seeing how there are no limits for the AI as there are for Amazon and Apple ect.
I don't really think satellite capabilities are a must unless you're traveling beyond the reach of cellphone towers... Else, just LTE connectivity would be enough to make it portable
Theoretically, we can probably create a more advanced version of Tony’s Penthouse, I will definitely have to have humanoid robots as assistants 😁, doing analysis on whatever it is I think about, and how to efficiently to go about creating it… I believe it’s actually very much possible for everyone to have a personal robot instead of a cellphone! I seen some of the exoskeletons that engineers around the world are working on, combine that with replicated google’s deep-blue, we will have the perfect AI humanoid assistant.
Great YT video! Love your explanation & ideas of what is currently possible in smart home automation! Looking forward to see the next video & getting even more ideas!
If you're a skilled enough programmer you actually can create an J.A.R.V.I.S that do a lot of cool stuff, and since it's yours, it can do more "invasive" stuff that Amazon and Google can't. Still DYI, but still pretty amazing. There is a guy on youtube who created he's own version of J.A.R.V.I.S and it can do tons of cool stuff, even shoot a plastic gun for simulated smart defense.
Please make a video on local voice assistants. They offer subsecond responses, improved accuracy, work with even the cheapest chipsets, and are fully offline. They are very basic but do their job well. Examples: Snips(dead), Mycroft, Almond, Picovoice
Never saw the movie but looks interesting. Bought and installed a 6 pack of those lights for my single car garage a year ago and thought to myself, wow these are great but 12 would be better. Now you need sunglasses when the lights come on.
It is not smart but the BSR Accuglide XR60 has a remote and can play any combination of songs in any order with up to 6 albums. It will lift and drop albums as per your presets and it has a laser that scans all albums and knows where to drop the needle for each song. This was first introduced in 1982. You could write code to replicate the remote, or copy it through harmony remote, then automate it and incorporate your play list using voice commands via harmony skill.
I would still like my music to follow me on a Saturday from the backyard to the basement then to the garage as I do work around the house. Is that possible these days? Great video! Thx.
Great video, but why should the Delivery man with the candy knock if this video is all about smart things? Couldn't you use a Google Nest hub for example to show that someone's at the door because of a motion trigger? Btw, could you try touchscreen beamers when using them for smart home purposes instead of a transparent panel as a display?
I’m a senior citizen who just watched you fir the first time. Some of the automated concepts intrigue me and I can definitely use a few of them. I have iPads tablets google hub Amazon fire and other smart stuff in our house considering allour family members’ together. My question is, are there services these. days that market themselves in focusing on helping people automate their homes? I5 sounds like our young people can make a career out of this in their spare time. I love the am window opening with the wake up call. And maybe my first cup of coffee ready?
Thanks for that Video. You're inspiring. The Google can't create a folder thing... Have you tried the Tool "Assistent Computer Control" in combination with "if this than that (ifttt)" ?
I like the Philips WiZ collection if you’re looking for a cheap with smart bulb with full RGB. It’s become the go to for my house, and I haven’t had any issues yet.
Awesome video & very entertaining! Paul Hibbert never makes videos this good...don't get me wrong the corporate greed pumps are legendary all over the internet, but he's no Smart Home Solver😤
All the gadgets in the original Star Trek are now a reality and Tony Starks will be too but unfortunately I won't be around to see it cuz I'm an old man 😢
This is all features in all Devices. Tony has everything integrated and run out of box. This level of integration could be done if companies works with open standards?
I just don't understand why companies still believe they can turn your home into a proprietary ecosystem prison. Is it just so hard to grasp the concept of cross-brand compatibility with open standards? Nobody wants 10 different apps to turn their lights on.
Ha. I was able to build JARVIS with Home Assistant. Well. Not really AI but voice notifications that are proactive and snarky. And randomized so to those on the outside looking in it can appear like AI.
Can you help me out reed, what are some automations I can put for an elderly person? I already have a google doorbell and hub, plus some minis and a google tv. I’m thinking about contact and motion sensors, along with smart light switches. What do you think I should add?
Hey months ago I got the Smart LED strip lights from Feit Electric and I saw the video wend you try like 10 different Strip Lights and I will like to know youe opinion about the Strip Lights that I got
I want smart mirror but not many to choose from ....like a smart mirror that displays notifications and agenda item and not a diy one from a monitor...
The robot's still kind of in beta. It's the Mebo 2.0: meborobot.com I talk about it more in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-svu1thd6K4E.html
@@SmartHomeSolver Thank you! I watch youtube on apple tv and it doesn't let me see the description or comments with all of your links! Random Question. is there a case or a base that I can use to set up my iPad as a command center similar to a Google Nest Hub with screen. Or should I just buy the Google Nest Hub
@@SmartHomeSolver 6500K ? My eyes hurt just thinking about that. I bought the same brand but the 4000 K version. They supposedly sell a 3500 K version but amazon does not carry them.
Meanwhile as I sit and watch this my robot vacumm is inches away from it's dock and has been having trouble finding it for the last 5 mins... it kind of responds like HammerTech.
@@SmartHomeSolver Agreed. Why is it I can get that new voice, (Ziggy) or Samuel L Jackson, (and soon Disney characters) but I can't get Jarvis. A.I. Goals... LOL
Follow-up mode at Google Assistant? No yet in spanish, only available in english. How much more time we spanishspoken people (we are nearly 500 million) must wait more fot this? :-( Good video. congrats!
I want a smart home but don't want any of the firms spying on me 😂 I really hope i find a way to get Alexa or g.assistant without having my data stored at there Servers
