My friend gave me a iPhone 6S about 4-5 yrs ago and that thing was a pure beast ( but ) would not update past 12.5 in mid 2022 ... I still have it but now using a older Galaxy ... Have you tried resetting the galaxy s5 with the volume buttons, etc? That will sometimes work
