No joke. Im normally not a fan of in car cameras in this sort of thing, but this edit has perfect duration of in car. I skipped forward the first couple, and then realized that they werent just padding video length with them...really hit it for my particular watch style.
Whoever was running the Cameras and Drones this video KILLED it. This was the most engaging and enjoyable to watch video you guys have put out in a LONG time. I think we need to see more Demo Derby!
The “epic edit” between heats repairing the car was awesome! Great video, was on the edge of my seat cheering you guys on. Thanks for bringing us along. 💪
I’m not usually into the demolition derby stuff. However, this is one of your best episodes ever. Great editing great content so much fun to watch. Thank you. Your family is amazing!
Glad everyone had fun and walked away with only derby bumps and bruises. Now I have to say, I've been to many demo derbies in my life and watched a few RU-vid vids that have attempted to cover the action. This is by far the *best* I've ever seen! Kudos Fab Rats crew for putting together a demo derby that was awesome to watch! All the different camera angles kept my attention the entire time and let me feel like I was part of the action. Great job everyone!
The drone shot of that huge hit on Jace was crazy…his adrenaline was off the charts! I love the enthusiasm of Landon, he’s a derby natural! The film and edit quality was outstanding..I’m not usually an intentional destruction type guy but this was an awesome video!
Landon drives like Paul, he’s not afraid to hit hard. You boys are so blessed to have a life that allows you to be kids..so fun to watch you growing into fine young men. Can’t wait to watch you next year..
Normally I watch the Fab Rats videos on my phone. Every now and then, if it is a good video, I will watch it on my laptop. This video, straight to my 65" big screen. Loved every minute of it!! Great job on the video and congrats to all three of the Cox boys (and yes, I am old enough to include Paul in with the boys). Now to look forward to the next video.
Saw it as well. But as much as he wanted to, he made the right decision to stay put. That’s showing some real adult reasoning right there. These kids are being brought up right.
@duncansq47 yea that's what big brothers do! I gave my little brother hell but if something happened to him I went in dad mode. Loved to see Lan do that!!
Wow. Hands down the best episode of FabRats I've seen over these last few years. The story has the obvious built-in real drama. But there was great camera work (love the in car shots), and the editing was just fantastic. Music great to boot. This is the one to submit to get you a reality show. You could just focus on derbies. We already know what a great crew you got, add this in and you've got a hit. Goes without saying, but so glad everyone is okay, with only smiles to show for it all.
What a night. They will remember that for ever. The safety equipment did what it was supposed to. Everyone had a great time. They put on a great show. They will be back next time!!
OMG....so cool watching a family so close together !.....EXCELLENT driving by all....Shell was amazing on cam work !!... I'm 69 yrs old and it brings tears to my eyes watching a family pulling together to make it all work !!..... not many fams left doing "old school" love....Paul and Michelle dun dam good!!
While I can appreciate the roots of the fab rats channel, this video is clearly a step up in the RU-vid world. This caliber of editing, cinematography and storyline is what is going to keep your channel growing and sharing your amazing family with more and more people. Phenomenal job Fab Rats! Paul and Michelle you’re doing a great job with this channel and more importantly your family.
What a proud moment for a father to watch his sons compete in the sport that he loves. Now the boys are hooked on it and they'll be going every year! Great parenting to get the boys interested in something besides electronics and drugs. Awesome job Landon and Jace and also Paul what a night
Great first time for both of your young MEN! I’m 62 years old and I was in tears when Jace, went upside down, Then it was great when Landon saw JaceThe first thing he asked him if was he was OK.!!! You Sir have to be PROUD
This was a really fun series to watch. Paul and the boys building the derby cars, Michelle's "Momma Bear" concern, Landon and Jace running their first event, and the smiles of everyone after the derby. Glad it was safe and fun for all !!!
Absolutely brilliant! The best 40-minutes of RU-vid I've ever seen. Jace, you almost gave this old fart a heart attack (you handled it well, though). Landon, you can DRIVE! Many thanks to the whole extended Fab Rats family. That was fun!
Was looking forward to this one, and it did not disappoint!! The build up watching you all getting the cars ready, to then watch you all have a blast destroying them. Was so much fun to watch, can't imagine how much fun it was to take part! Love from the UK 😎🇬🇧👍🏻
You boys killed it for your first time driving the derby! Great builds and great driving. And Paul still a mad man In a derby car. Probly one of the most awarded mad dog drivers ever in the sport or derby.😂
the boys have driven derby before, I believe it was 4cyl. youth class. this is their first time running the bigger stock cars though! you're right though they did amazing!
@@adamc2837What's your channel called Adam? imagine hating on someone sharing their opinion and being kind. you seem super cool with your RU-vid prowess😂
I really enjoyed watching this. I even teared up a bit when the rollover occurred. I could almost feel the hits in my low back where the titanium rods and screws are. As I sit and type with a torn rotator cuff, I know this is the closest I will ever get to being "in a derby". Thanks for the ride.
I've watched your channel for a very long time and you've had some simply awesome videos. But I have to say, this one was my all time favorite (so far). Working with your kids to get them into a culture, really, of demo derby is beyond awesome. Working with them for the build process and then being there to participate and support.. what can I say.. I loved every bit of it. Great family, great people.
Awesome job camera men/woman. The editing was crazy good. I love the down to earth not fancy videos BUT for the racing this made a spectacular video. Great job everyone!
This video was everything I thought it would be...👣😁👣 Michelle, that must have been tough several times.....filming it, and then editing in the in car footage .....but rest assured, it was worth the worry....all 3 boys had a Blast...and so did we.....thanks for taking us along for the ride.. 👣❤👣
I remember watching Paul derby back in the ezduzit days. Super cool watching you and your boys all get to do it together now. Definitely wouldn’t be mad if I saw more of it. Just really cool that you and your boys get to build all the stuff you do together.
Paul your sons have come a long ways in a short time. I was in one Police demolition derby at Placerville, California many years ago. I lived every second of it all over again watching you three going at it. Thanks for the memories and stay safe.
"Talk about exciting nail biting adrenaline pumping entertainment." The Cox family pulled it off! Great camera shots and awesome family fun. Thank You so much for bringing us along for the wild ride!
slowmo work montage was awesome! Good job guys. Great video! Favorite Paul comment.. "took out a bunch of frustrations that night.... felt pretty good..."
Ok. That was the best derby footage I've ever seen. Amazing editing!! Shots from the stands from multiple vantage points, from inside the cars, and from drones. Seriously, that video was excellent. Watched the whole thing twice it was that good!
It makes me feel great seeing the family dynamic, you’re awesome people and your kids hit the lottery when it comes to being surrounded by people that love them.
I'm a retired midwest guy and haven't really had any interest in derbys but watched the whole video and really enjoyed it. Liked the build vids of the boys setting up their cars too. Thanks for sharing!
I was on the edge of my seat, yelling and clapping while watching this video. You men, have earned every bit of my applause! CONGRATS! Whew.....I've gotten my cardio for the day.
Paul - you have a M.A.D COMPETITOR to deal with next year....Land is going to give you a run for the $$$$ ...lol ...He's got his daddy's lead foot and not afraid to slam em mentality.....Jas nice job Yong man.......that was awesome to watch ..glad you all had a good time and no one was hurt...
Wow that was AWESOME GUYS, you guy's did great. Glad everyone is safe ,that was a blast and I wasn't even there lol. Thanks for taking us along guy's, can't wait for next year. Glad Paul got to take out some frustrations lmao. 😅😂
I have been anticipating this vlog. First time seeing a demolition derby. I have seen hundreds of drag races and dirt track. Loved this. So awesome that Paul got to do this with his boys. They did an excellent job. I felt for you Michelle. I know how you felt. Now off to binge watch your other channel.
I really enjoyed this video. It is great to see the Cox family working together and having fun together. Keep up the good work and I'll be waiting to see the next adventure of Paul, Landon, Jace and all the Fab Rats. Glad that Jace wasn't hurt, but that is why the cars are built the way that they are, to keep the driver safe.
Glad all three of you guys are okay. Especially with the roll over. Remember there is always next time. My first engine that I put in my 1965 Dodge Dart GT, was out of my dad's 1972 Plymouth station wagon derby car. The engine was still good after 6 years of being back on the road in my street car
That was extremely entertaining - well edited - really well done video. Loved the post event interviews. Would love to hear a few more commentaries from some of the other drivers. Just hooted and laughed at my office at the gentleman commenting to Michelle, "Your son hit me so hard, I lost my shoe!" That was pretty dang funny. Love what y'all do - Love how you do it as a family - Really fun and fantastic!
When you have a Pro like Paul, the sons are built safe. Yes, he let them do their own work, but he is a father, he checked over every weld and bolt for not only their safety, but their fun. I bet there was a lot of content of Paul doing after hour checks on his boy's work. I love the family!
I don't have the proper superlative verbiage to properly write how amazing and entertaining this was. Worth every second of my time spent watching, even with the ads. I hope you guys clean up with this one. You deserve it cause you've earned it.
I think this video was one of your best when it comes to filming and editing. It looked Amazing. Really nice work. Lots of color and different types of shot for difference pieces. The transition from the first rounds to the final was really cool. Looked like a Derby movie. Really brought your A game into this one.
Congratulations on the editing of this episode! Don't get me wrong: I watch all your videos and feels good to be among you guys in the shop. Love everything, but this was a fine piece of storytelling, drone shots and everything, coupled with tense soundtrack and transitions right on the spot. Very very good! 👏👏👏
Okay that montage 25 minutes in is just about the manliest thing I have ever seen haha. I will never stack up to the level of Dad energy Paul has displayed with his family in this video lol.
-- I'm not posting. I'm not here. I didn't say a word about Paul and his luck with transmissions. Great video editing, especially the fireworks through the 'windshield' to a live cut, and the drone work. My son is 2, and my daughters, 6 and 8. To watch them help each other - like your sons did - well, I have to stick around a while longer, but if I punched it this second, I know they'd be alright. Proud moments. I know a guy that flies WWII aircraft that may or may not have an 8 year old daughter. His girl took up a Mustang from a corn field, flew it to 552 in a dive, and set it down solo. But then, that's just a story. Totally making that up. Congrats to you and the young men.
Paul you have raised two extraordinary young men. It's cool to watch them taking after you in the derby world. Sorry you guys had a frustrating time after the derby when you guys went to eat. It was great to meet you and Landon . You guys have one of the best channels on RU-vid
It must have been nerve-racking for Michelle to watch her family participate in the Derby. It's a dangerous sport! Now Landon and Jace got bit by the Derby bug we'll be seeing more of demolition Derby in their future! Paul and Michelle, you've raised some really good kids, and you'll always worry about them no matter what paths they take in life! Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Wow this takes me back! used to binge Pauls videos on the EZduzit channel. glad to see his driving hasnt changed. one of the hardest drivers out there! would LOVE to see Paul back in a truck derby!
Repairs montage was amazing!! As a father of 3 and oldest of 3 brothers, the father son memories being built are awesome to see. In a time where the family is falling apart, this is a breath of fresh air. Seeing the brothers cheering for each other during the rollover was awesome. The concern to applause was fantastic!!!
