Companies are absolutely taking advantage of soo many people liking fragrance now. I have been into fragrance for around 10 years now and I noticed with things like TikTok, consumerism really drives prices. I am hoping the middle eastern fragrance houses start to force designer and niche to be more realistic
Regarding what you mentioned about inflation...it is ABSOLUTLEY insane. It's getting to the point where I'm opting for dupes over the real deals that I've been wearing for years (looking at you Chanel). I realize that perfume isn't a necessity, but it really has been a staple in my wardrobe since I was pre-teen. Thank goodness for people like you who have shed light on the dupe market so those of us who love fragrance but are struggling right now can still partake. No shame in the dupe game.
@@ScentualP same, I haven't touched my Libre since I got Golden Decade, I actually like it more. Sometimes the Zara dupes can be good, some not so much (looking at you, Red Temptation)
OMG - Just received my sample order - and even more lost since each one is SO BEAUTIFUL!! Especially loved your Spring Sample Pack!! Wanted to get a full size fragrance for my sister’s birthday - but impossible to narrow the choices down! Help!!🥰
a lot of people are taking advantage of rapid inflation because they know there hasn't been enough time to allow for true price discovery (people don't know what things are actually worth anymore). of course, the fragrance industry has been doing this for awhile as they basically just sell cheap alcohol and aroma chemicals at a ridiculous mark up. looks like designer houses are adopting niche prices/trying to present the illusion of luxury by hiking the prices and they probably won't come down unless/until people stop buying. oh, and early congrats on 100k.
I loved your rant about the hike in designer perfume prices - absolutely agree with you! The last time I bought my (now 86 year old) mom a bottle of Chanel No. 5 EdP it was $250 US. She was spraying it in her room like air freshener! Ouch!
Soo I have a question- HOW is it possible that you look 7yrs younger than 3yrs ago???? You are absolutely stunning!!! And I love watching you cause you remind me of my sister in law who I love dearly ❤ wishing you the best ❤️
Thank you so much!! I feel like I've aged considerably when I look at myself in the mirror and see the wrinkles sneaking in but I'm just embracing it and opting for a lot less makeup too, which when I look back at old videos, I see it was aging and a bit much
I am so glad you pointed this out! I felt so alone in my opinions... I recently started building my niche collection because I can't justify over $100 for a designer scent. I only buy designers if I get them under $100 as I too dont find it worth it. If Im going to spend north of $100 its going to be on Niche.
I agree. The perfume companies have gotten SO greedy!!!! And that’s why the ME scents will be eating American perfume’s lunch. Don’t blame anyone but yourselves.
I have Yes I Do and Ylang in Gold ready for spring. Yes I Do is like a wearable NR For Her that one was a little too suffocating. I am also excited to use Ansaam Gold and Khair Pistachio for my Arabian picks. Cheapies Rebecca Minkoff Blush, Khloe Love Story Sensuelle, Ellie Saab Girl of Now Forever and Mont Blanc Signature will get prime attention now too!
I checked out your website 😍 A few bullet points about the notes of the sample perfume would be helpful for fragrance newbies like me! Also, maybe a quiz of sorts for people seeking a particular scent profile? Just a few ideas ai wanted to share.
Thank you so much, those are great ideas! I'll add some notes for each fragrance in the sample set. I'm also working on setting up some categories to help navigate along 🥰
I'm very excited to hear about Arabian scents!! I struggle with Spring & Summer because I don't like floral, many fruity or powdery scents. But I do appreciate a sweet scent which is apparent over the last few years with wearing Viktor & Rolf's Nectar and Kilian's Love don't be shy. But I still feel like I just don't like 80% of perfumes out there... I love unique scents. I will visit your shop to see what discovery sets you have. Thanks for sharing 🤍
I bought ocean di gioia and I absolutely love it. I also have a Libra EDT, which is beautiful as well . I totally agree with you on the price increase for designer, which is ridiculous. I might as well just go with niche at this point.
I’m wearing Libre EDT today, a Spring fave!❤ Another perfect Room 1015 for spring is Sonic Flower. I’m obsessed with that one! Very grown up Glossier You.
Watching this as I'm wearing kilian love don't be shy layered with wrapped in vanilla from bath and body works with some al rehab golden sand oil on my hot spots. This ain't not spring combo, she's heavy and thick....and I will be wearing her all year round ❤
I ordered Yes I Do last spring from a discount site - it’s so pretty and 💯 spring, so I’m looking forward to wearing it as it warms up here on the west coast of Canada ❤
Another good video just keep em coming ❤ U r sooo right about the ridiculous price jumps with new prices one jst cant wear their favs on daily basis or to bed so for daily wear i have switched to dupes/impressions from our local perfume houses n thank god they r doing a very fine job with the impressions
I wore a sample of Black noir by Mancera. It's a surprisingly nice dark tobacco scent with some whit florals in the background. This is the first Mancera I've ever considered full bottle worthy
It’s funny how everyone is heading into the ME brands. Yes the prices are skyrocketing in the designer scents. Niche has also gone up since I started collecting 30 years ago!
Oh I just got my first room 1015 fragrance…. The cherry punk (ya I know I am late to that party….) but I am really curious about their wave child! Watermelon? Who doesnt love watermelon
Does epc ship to canada? I ordered a sample.of yland in gold and i dislike it but at least i tried, i enjoyed all thr samples from your company, i appreciate that youre local
You think $186 which is the USA avg for designer fragrances with tax is “reasonable?” & you were filling up your cart with them😱I want your bank account, as that is ridiculous for a bottle of fragrance! And…not everyone spends a thousand bucks a year at Sephora to get 20% off either…but if everyone did get 20% off then that to me would be what the “regular” price should be before any discount! IMHO…&…is the reason for middle eastern fragrances going wild in America for like over 6 mths now!
well, I was reading it in Canadian dollars (1 CAD = 0.71 USD right now) by mistake and factoring in the 20% off 🙈 only then did I think it was almost reasonable. I totally agree with you though, and generally refuse to pay retail
FYI for anyone interested in Sakura it’s not a bright and airy petal-fresh cherry blossom kind of scent. That’s what I expected and it’s really nothing like the typical cherry blossom vibe. Wasn’t for me.
I live in thhe U.S. & when ever I order anything from Canada, I get eaten alive by the shipping cost. The fragrance companies could be marking their stock up to pay for the shipping tariffs
