I’m so sorry! The medical profession has to stop looking at age and more closely at symptoms.

Wait a month for a CAT scan? I live in a 3rd World country, and I could get a CAT scan tonight if I needed it. What craziness it is, that US healthcare is crazy !

This advice is so true. I'm a survivor and the people that make it with any cancer are the people that fight insurance, doubters and sometimes doctors and loved ones too. You do know your own body. If you know it's not right-it's not right. And you need to fight for the proof. Fight for the tests, the scans and the treatments! It does not guarantee success. But the outcomes for passive personalities must not be as good based on the survivors I've talked with. I truly pray for those good agreeable people I saw in many waiting rooms. Nothing is fair about cancer.

I am so sorry you had to suffer for years on end. But thankful you finally have a diagnosis and can now heal. I'm confused about years back when your blood work was abnormal and you were told you might have leukemia, but then there was no follow-up from the doctors? Did your parents follow up on that for you?

You may want to have your home tested for Radon, which is colorless and odorless.

There are too many doctors who should never be allowed to be doctors. Their licenses need to be revoked. There are millions of women with similar stories. I am so furious when they take men seriously and tell women it's just "anxiety." I almost died because the cardiologist never listened to me. He actually laughted when I told him I fainted in the shower (he said it was just hot water) and while teaching my class. Soon after, I was rushed to the ER. It was my heart.

Fasting and a low carb diet can do a great deal to prevent cancer from occurring in the first place! Also helps a lot for asthma and all other autoimmune diseases.
