11. The Last Jedi
I just can't agree with some of the characters. Episode 8 is debatable, but I don't want to go into that too much right now. I think the movie looked really beautiful visually. I also liked that Poe became a little more relevant. The Luke and Leia have met again, was also a great scene. Mark Hamill was just born to play Luke. Very controversial, but I can watch him.
10. Solo
Personally, I didn't need a Han Solo movie, but I was still surprised at how good I thought the movie was. I really liked the action that was shown to us by Chewbacca. A whole new and wild Chewie. Donald Glover as Lando was the scene stealer. Cool scenes and a very surprising cameo at the end
9. The Rise of Skywalker
I was pleased with the ending of the Skywalker saga. So many goosebump moments had me in the cinema seat at the time. Personally, though, I would have preferred to see the anticipated version: Star Wars 9: Duel of the Fates. From the story that has been made public, this film would have appealed to me even more. Nevertheless, I found the last part good. Adam Driver as Kylo Ren is the star of the sequels for me. Hearing the Jedi voices was a highlight for me as a prequel kid.
8. The Phantom Menace
At that time, no one knew what would become of Darth Maul. I thought he was a very cool character even back then. Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon is a really underrated Jedi. I liked him. For me, it was always the Gungans that made the movie a little silly. The final battle on Naboo for that, is one of my favorites.
7. The Force Awakens
A new trilogy, new characters, a new movie, but the same Han Solo we love. Han Solo alone made the movie special for me. It was great to see him again. The new characters were also fun to get to know. Seeing Rey on Jakku was really interesting. Finn as a stormtrooper was a very tragic development and I would have liked to see more of him in that direction. Unfortunately, the parallels to Episode 4 are really visible. I would rather prefer episode 4. The bridge scene in episode 7 broke my heart.
6. A New Hope
What's better than Episode 7? The original Episode 4. The beginning of everything. For the regular first time you could dive into the world of Star Wars. All those costumes and effects are so intricately done. I love a new hope for what it is. The heroic journey of Luke Skywalker begins. I would have loved to have all the deleted scenes with Biggs in the movie. It would have made the X-Wing scene even more impressive.
5. Rogue One
How well did Rogue One fit into the saga please. I think it's great how well Rogue One fits between 3 and 4. The Darth Vader scene is one of the best Star Wars scenes ever. Unfortunately many characters are very weak and uninteresting. Jyn Erso was the only character I sympathized with because of her father. I'm looking forward to the Andor series. Maybe we'll get to know him and K2 more, which will make us see Rogue One in a different way.
4. Attack of the Clones
am a prequel lover and I always will be. Many in my generation grew up with movies 1-3. So Anakin and Obi-Wan are my childhood heroes, from a young age. Attack of the Clones has so many iconic moments that have shaped The Clone Wars series. Seeing all the Jedi in action was also very cool. Count Dooku is also a very interesting character. I also find the chemistry between Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padme very authentic. A great troop simply.
3. The Empire Strikes Back
For many, Episode 5 is the favorite movie. For me it is on the third place. We don't need to talk about how great the movie is. A perfect sequel with one of the most ironic quotes in the film world: "Luke, I am your father." Every time I see it I get goosebumps. The introduction of Lando was also great. Billy Dee Williams just has charisma!
2. Return of the Jedi
The whole beginning with Jabba and his entourage is just perfectly inzined. I loved to recreate it as a kid with my action figures. The ending where we had both the space battle, the Endor unit and the final battle between Luke and Vader was so impressive. Seeing the end of Vader/Anakin was really hard to believe. The Dark Lord of the Sith...
Wow...Indescribably good.
1. Revenge of the Sith
This movie is not only my favorite Star Wars movie, but also one of my favorite movies in general. Everything is right here for me. The pacing, the story, the effects. Everything pleases me. As I said, I have a weakness for the prequels. A fight like Anakin against Obi-Wan, we will never have again. That was pure emotion. I must also confess that the film sometimes brings tears to my eyes...
