Had a resume workshop with a hiring manager of about 30 years of experience at a tech company recently. One thing he said he finds particularly annoying is when applicants submit applications to not only the area he oversees, but other areas in the company as well. Tells him that the applicant isn't truly committed to the position they're applying for and are obviously just throwing shit at the wall until it sticks. Consider avoiding submitting multiple applications to different areas of very large companies, because the hiring managers can and will see that and not like it. Great video by the way!

That makes no sense. Why not apply to as many jobs as possible. You shouldn't expect to be committed to a role you don't even have yet(or even interviewed for yet). Would this manager be offended if you had other applications to other companies as well? That hiring manger is stupid or your making stuff up.

@@transcendentfish5824 Humans are often not rational or fair. This also goes for hiring managers.

New grad here and 100% in the same boat, good luck friend! I’ve been trying to grind through the blind 75 list as prep. I’m also currently trying to balance that with creating a iOS project. While also trying to apply. It’s tough but we got this! I haven’t lost faith yet either. I’m subbing for the journey! Edit: Also forgot to say that the production was great!

"be prepared to send 100 to 150 resumes for a single interview" Nah we're cooked. Capitalism is donezo its been unsustainable from the beginning now we are on the ever-steepening decline as the contradictions inherent to capitalism magnify to crisis upon crisis
