@Mr_Ruhl Really ? Either you are very young or have no experience with older cars. Everything pretty much had drum brakes on the front and back until around 1970. There are some exceptions to that obviously. Drum brakes on all 4 wheels and no power assist, oh yeah. They didn't stop worth a shit.
I love how real you are bro Your completely honest about your mistakes and it's so organic because that is life we all mess up. So many of these car guys on RU-vid NEVER! Admit a mistake ever. Love your content brother 😂😂
Hey Tom, if you wanna try something, grab some Valvoline Blue Restore diesel oil and run it through 8 Ball. It'll clean out the carbon and unstick the rings. Aggressive stuff. Will help with the blowby.
You gotta keep 8-Ball bro! I hope you ordered a freshy motor tho, I just have a sliiiiiight feeling this one won't last too much longer lol. Keep up the great work brutha!!!
Don’t trade this car man, I love the series so much! That mustang just rules, it would be amazing if you modified this 65 mustang doing a track setup. Like upgraded coilovers, some better wheels and tires, maybe a roll cage. You said that maybe you would have swapped the 302 for a bigger engine , but honestly right now it sounds just glorious. Obviously these are just suggestions, cant wait to see what you’re going to do with it, greetings from Italy Tom!
id love to see it get tuned in a little more and prettied up to see what you can get for it! definitely would be a good leap for the trade up challenge
Friday is my day off and the thing I look forward to every damn week, is sitting down, with my weekly Safeway sushi, and watching your videos, love ya tom. ps eight ball needs more love, keep going
Whistling diesel is not as funny as tom. Tom, we love you, bruh. You hold competence and ignorance and blend them with badass mechanical yet comical and educational content. Much love, cant wait for your next endeavors #tomsrefurb
When bleeding brakes, just open bleeder and use your fingertip as a valve and just pump until no air is coming out. Way easier and faster. Thanks for making these creations, so damn jealous 😅
Or an old 20oz or liter soda bottle and some clear plastic air hose that's cheap at almost any hardware store. Been using that method for decades no issue
I really enjoy the way you present the work being done. You show the steps but not every bolt, making the work look very doable by anyone with a wrench but not making it look deceptively easy. I'm loving this but in the spirit of the challenge it seems you'd do best to repaint and trade up! You're gonna shrek the original budget and goal if you shove more money into it!
You might could reach special places on my mom but I definitely could blow your grandma's mind. 😂 Some people are mfers. Then there are us grand mfers.
Love how the build is coming along! 8ball is so badass, let's see some new speed parts to make 8ball faster! Thank you for the Best Damn Automotive Content on RU-vid Tom!!
Ahhh another Friday with Tom. If you haven't already grabbed a cold snack then you better hurry up, graba seat and get ready for another episode of the best damn automotive content on RU-vid & Patreon! Loader'er up with some more speed parts Tom n let'er rip! Love your content as always man keep up the great works and big shoutout to your buddies for always being around to help n lend a few laughs 😅💯
I really loved the videos on this car, but from my perspective you've reached the maximum on it. I'd love to see it get traded for another classic, maybe a GM or a Mopar. Keep it up!
Hey Tom, I know you might not see this but I’d personally say the keep the car to be far you already had 2 of them so you mind as well gotta keep the third Mustang😂. I think every project car has that feeling of stress when you first get it and look and notice more issues with themselves. Just like my 52 Dodge Coronet 😂, but I’m not giving up on it. I’ve spent so much time and videos of it being changed around for a while now. Even when problems occur that’s one of things with owning a project. They aren’t meant to be reliable but they are sure meant to bring you joy in the end…
You don't have to plug the holes for the trans cooler on the radiator.. It's not like engine coolant will be coming out of those. And if you are getting engine coolant out of those holes-your radiator is bad.
Keep 8-ball!! It just fits the Stang fleet so well. I’d love to see more of it being modded and possibly a showdown against Noise Complaint & Masutangu.
You should make a compilation of already recorded sends of all the vehicles. It would be great to hear all the builds over the years all in 1 long compilation
I know technically the smart thing is to make it look and run good would probably get you the most money but the fact that you just throw more power and a supercharger at it is amazing
That peel out was savage ahah sick as hell bro, love your videos man super educational and enjoyable to watch , finish hooking ir up then trade it so we can see another build !💯💪🏻
How would anyone not like the Tom? He makes awesome shit, brings back cars from the dead, and makes affordable and quality parts for fellow hot rodders!
Diggin' the series Tom! 👏 ☆ Keep going, make it a class 3 classic! In the meantime you could start searching out potential "trade for a classic" options ☆ Find the right person you could finish it up to their specs for a swap!
For the fan direction issue. You can put the fan wherever you want. If you want it to change the direction the air flows just wire it backwards. AC currant can travel either direction.
love the classic car & watching you guys fix it, maybe you can wrap it instead of paint, be half the cost & there are some really cool colors imagine what Tom could come up with.
As much as I thought, and totally hooped, you would totally roast this motor and get some bigger ford power in it. This thing is absolutely solid. I love that first drive, absolutely dialed all the safety in so well by someone you can trust and that motor oh my goodness that seems fucking MInt. I will always watch every last second of THE best god daym automotive content on this planet
I vote you do an entire 8 ball in 8 ball and then let your heart decide what to do next. Honestly though whether your fixing it or flipping it I'll definitely watch the next episode.
Here's a tip for you...If the car is misfiring the AFR sensor will show a lean condition. If you richened it up so much that it started missing there's your problem, cruising, idling and part throttle AFR should be stoich 14.68 or as close as possible. Under boost I'd target 12.0. You can get away with 12.5 but 12.0 gives you a little safety margin. Do a test, start the car look at the wideband, then pull a spark plug wire off with insulated pliers while it's running and see what it does....It'll show lean.

Definitely keep it and I love the channel bro keep up the good work only thing I would have done differently is I would have set the suspension down on the ground before fully tightening so your bushings aren't on a bind and last longer
I started my build of what I dreamed of doing to it. Unfortunately I had to put mine on hold due to not being able to work and no money. I love car shows and cars. Unfortunately I am not mechanically inclined. My dream was to take what I have now. Make it look nice take to shows. Maybe one day... Love your videos and your channel
As an automotive painter please please keep it and put a good full body paint job on this thing. I promise it will look so good in all black. Helps hide anything you wanna hide and the value of it for the final trade will skyrocket. Id personally not yrade it and bust keep the series going and then but a new one for the next series
