Gives me flashbacks to getting mine, so exciting & cool looking I intentionally slowed down unboxing/setup, cranked up the tunes & savored the moment. Best toy ever!
Thanks. This is just what I wanted to see, a grown man riding one of these. Been considering upgrading from my mountain bike to a x260 on my trailer. This would be great to explore trails when camping.
The cheapest upgrades you can do that make a huge difference would be a taller handlebar (riser handlebar or riser stem) and different foot pegs. The stock pegs are freakin tiny. Other than that it's a great bike. Have fun!
My 1986 kx 250 2 stroke And my ltz400 And my van van would eat that thing alive lol in a race and on range But I am glad that you guys are having fun Just ride smart and be safe 🙂😀
I love mine brother! I actually had to buy 3 so others can join and even bought 2 spare batteries from another company that makes them for around $1k each for both although it was discounted as 2 others bought 2 also and the company offered a discount which I think they were $1.2k-$1.5k normally but we rarely even needed to swap on the majority of our trips. I must caution care and advise people to turn the key off when stopped as we've had a few accidental pop offs resulting in some injuries as it is just too powerful, especially if you cut the wire and unlock full speed which all but 1 are lol. I must admit I've had a few injuries which I don't want to delve too far into as to not discourage potential buyers because they were all user error, but nonetheless it is incredibly easy to user error on such an incredibly powerful and light work of pure genius. I've actually accelerated full on into groups of deer without them even realizing I'm coming until moments before being within 10ft expecting them to start running long before. I have the pedal kit on the one with the wire not cut yet for street legal use as police are quite interested and suspicious of them but many cops actually were very intrigued and some even bought them after talking with us and learning about their capabilities. I still don't want to deal with the ones that decide to learn about all the legalities to know what to check for and be able to cite us for any violation, but what's great is that they are so capable but practically silent, even without the o ring chains and we can zip around like batman on our batmobikes without even alerting residents. When not pushing it like a rocket the battery is really quite impressive with life, but if we are pushing it hard and alot of hills at higher speeds it definitely drains faster. This year was the first time we got to use them in snow and let me just say... absolutely amazing! A little scary and some crazy slippage and slide-out when you least expect it, but if it's not on ice and just snow, it is wild!!! Going off road in snow is incredible as there is less chance of ice underneath and it absolutely launches snow up so high!!!! My nephew actually raced in a race with gas bikes and he practically won, definitely in his class but there was no prize, just a fun sport and it's crazy because he can instantly top out of a turn without having to gear which is crazy! Be careful though, very much not a toy despite being so much fun!
@@ds2985 in my opinion they last long enough but I don't thrash especially after eating shot a few good times lol. I bought extra batteries with a slight discount from a separate company and they actually seem to last slightly longer. I've yet to have any batteries permanently die and recharge is fast enough but I'm hoping there will be longer lasting batteries in the future soon as more would always be better. I will say these are really crazy power especially full speed accessed and have a high potential for injury if user is lacking in consideration and responsibility lol.
Wow that looks pretty fun I've got a 80cc motorized bicycle. The motor is on a hyper beach cruiser. I have an app that registers my miles per hour and I've got it up to 32 so far and for a bicycle it's pretty damn fast well be safe brother remember the airplane flies high turns left looks right
Yes.that man happy already knew how to change kilometers to mph I've been watching surron vids the past few days and felt your excitement happy for you. I just don't have a place for it at the stinking condos..hmm will see.
Beautiful 😻 Bike Brother! Congratulations 🍾. I just ordered the Segway X260. I feel the same way. I’m so excited I just can’t hide it. Stay Safe & Stay Free. 👊 🍻
Why did you chose the Segway instead? I'm thinking the same maybe. But if I upgrade the system in the future the Segway advantages will have been moot?
@@randywatson9450 I’m brand new to the whole EBike world 🌎 until about a week ago. The video that did it for me after looking @ all the options available was by Jimmy Chang titled “ The Best E Bike under $4k”. It just basically came down to options & looks. I ordered the Silver. It looks so sexy to me. Either way you did good. Your Son might just want his own Bike one day though 😉 😂. The deal was irresistible to me. I bought it through Affirm with 0%Apr for 6 months with a company called SimplyEv. The total was $4,499 Delivered to my front door 🚪. The best deal I could find. I hope this helps.
@@mrmicromanager I just looked & it is more expensive. I figured this would happen. The Segway sight had them for $4,499 this morning They sent me an email for the Fourth of July 🇺🇸 sale. Good luck to you. We have all enjoyed ours so much. I take my 4 year old daughter for rides daily @ her demands. Haha. Cheers 🍻 & Happy early 4th of July. Stay Safe & Stay Free. I’m actually trying to talk myself into purchasing another eBike for myself from Cab Motorworks called the Recon. It’s an absolute Beast. Buy once cry 😢 once right. Haha. You might want this instead. The Segway is fun but I think 🤔 I’m ready to graduate 👨🎓 to something more serious. I really got addicted to the eBike world. It’s so practical & so much fun. You can ride anywhere. Check out the Recon though. You won’t regret it. They are out of Southern California
@@mrmicromanager best buy jumped the price to 4,999.99 and most other retailers did also unfortunately, I ordered mine a few days ago and Best Buy sold out in 48 hours of going live
@@stewyaker I've been looking it up if you put a BAC 4000 controller and a 72v battery you will yet 80mph out of it, once my e scooter dealer has on in il be getting one.
I'm thinking about getting one. how tall are you and how much do you weigh? how well does it do for your size and weight? I'm 5'10" and i weigh about 240lbs , im worried about the size of the bike and the power.
You guys do know it’s made it china right? And surron slaps their brand on it.. I’m not sure how much u got yours for.. but I got mine for 850 usd.. brand new.. excluded shipping.. total is about 1037 usd to my door step.. not sure about shipping to US but to my country in Singapore is that price.. wanna get yours for my price?
Im just amazed your package from fed ex wasn't crushed! I bet if you weren't there to meet him.The driver would have thrown it off of the truck into your driveway and drove off!
Nice video. Do you know if you got the 2021 version? or 2020? (I think there's a difference in how the throttle feels vs 2020). Looking to buy mine, but curious if Luna is already selling 2021 version or old one still.
For real! I wanna get it for commuting but it’s gonna be small for me I’m 6’2 unfortunately they don’t make a bigger size I don’t wanna look ridiculous riding that small thing
Ive seen guys 5’7 riding that thing and it still looks too small for them. I honestly dont know why they only built one model thats the size suitable for a 12 year old. Full grown Adults look completely ridiculous riding it. Such a shame aswel cos its such a nice looking bike.
Can you guys help me out and tell me where I can buy the 72v mod or is better to buy a different bike. I’m new to all this but I do have plenty of $$ to buy whatever I want . Thx guys
@@romeofoxtrot363 the perfect sur ron set up would probably be a light speed 72 v battery, which can be got here, litespeedbikes.mybigcommerce.com/72v32ah-surron-battery/ . Pair that with a bac 4000 (you really don't need the 8000) which can be got here, emotobros.com/products/ols/products/asi-bac4000-plug-and-play-kit-for-surron. That will get you a lot of power and about 50 miles range. You could get more range by building or finding someone to build you a higher capacity battery (definitely don't attempt if you aren't very competent) that will get you a wheelie machine with the power of a little 2 stroke (not the top speed though) alternatively you could, for much much less money get, a little two stroke, full disclosure, I ride moterbike, the price for electric bikes like this is still too high for me, to get a fully kitted out sur ron you're looking at South of $7k, for which you could get a couple of very cool moterbikes and quite a few drinks. If the quiet and the torque and the lightweight characteristics of this sort of set up, and can afford it, then it will be a huge amount of fun, just dont expect value for money like you would get with a gas bike. Also you would need to upgrade the brakes to something like muguras or something, it's a lot of power to slow down
