Great upgrade! Used Teraflex on a prior Jeep and they worked very well. Running the Gladiator Mojave now and it came with Fox shocks. Would have preferred Falcons.
I know this was from three years ago but I’m very curious about the 3.5 adapt shocks on your gladiator were you happy with them? Did it work out do you recommend them, or is the electrical a little more hype it sounds good to be able to press the button if you get this I’m hoping you’ll let me know your thoughts thank you👍👍👍
Awesome! Finally someone other than terraflex has shown the install! Could you please do a review on these shocks? I'd love to know how they handle various weights in the back and driving conditions in the gladiator. I've heard the valving in falcon shocks are not that good.
Dude I remember when you got that Gladiator you went from your Wrangler unlimited to that Gladiator Been through some epic awesome adventures with that gladiator Keep going be safe.
@@TheStoryTillNow he is a huge fan of yours... he's watched all your videos.. be safe out there and god bless u on a safe trip to whatever your going next.
Always a good day when you're putting new parts on a Jeep! Can't wait to see some flex shots. You got some of the best videography out there man keep up the good work.
Holy crap those Johnny Joints look so worn after just a year. Snow and salt really do a number on them. Interested to see how well those Teraflex bushings hold up in the same conditions after a year. Them shocks! I'm jealous! 👍
I can't wait to see it in action! That sucks the senergy drag link didn't workout for you, especially if the stock one you feel is better. I love the senergy on my ram 3500 but it's a street rig and the stock drag links were crap on this truck especially after the recall and welding decision.
Nice watching a team of mechanics that know what their doing. I have a team like that. They even tell me when it’s time to get rid of it and buy another😎
I can't lie, I'm a bit disappointed...Evo for Teraflex, that's a step back. Nothing wrong with those joints, worse case scenario, they're rebuildable. If you think those IR bushings...nevermind, I digress.
@@Jeepingwhilefat ain't nothing wrong with low maintenance, set it and forget it but then just say that. Don't mislead folks by saying your suspension is "destroyed". Those joints are bomb proof. Many a hardcore rock crawlers have put the beats on them without destroying them. I destroyed my Johnny joints so I'm going to upgrade them to Teraflex said no one ever.
That looked like an EVO Overland kit with Fox shocks being taken out. If that's right how did you like that setup? If wrong what kit was it? I ask because I am interested in the 2.5 EVO plus kit and am open to opinions. Especially now that you have the TF setup. Thanks.
Integrated sway bar link bolts... Game Changer. EVO to Teraflex...at that rate you're next upgrade should be Rough Country. Since your suspension is now destroyed, I'd be glad to take your broken parts of your hands.
I'm thinking about getting the 3.5 aDapt system for my 4xe JK. When you drive on the road do you think it handles better than he 3.3 system? Can you tell when you go around a corner that the 3.5 aDapt is making one side stiffer and the other side softer?
How did you take that black bracket that is in the falcon stabilizer? I bought mine but what to modify it to sit on the tie rod but that black bracket seems very stuck inside the stabilizer
That cleaning part was satisfying 🤗 P. S I think you need to do a full clean up video both interior and exterior after a sick off-road session and make it brand new jeep, just like the Chris Fix videos 💯
The Teraflex IR joints can be tightened on the lift. The sleeve in the center of the bushing rotates independently of the rest of the bushing, so no binding with suspension flex. The only joints that still need to be torqued at ride height are the front upper control arm axle ends and track bars.
Have you seen how the IRs work? I’d wager the lost articulation is slim to none, and the lack of maintenance with lifetime warranty is absolutely worth it
If he gained he would have showed it. But there was not before & after comparison for a reason He lost a ton & those bushings will bind requiring more force to flex resulting in more wheel lifts & less traction. This was a downgrade Just rebuild the Johnny joints like the rest of us do for pennies on the dollar compared to this terrible idea of a swap
@@adidas4275 have you tried them? Do you even know how they work? This isn’t your standard rubber bushing. Everybody’s an expert on things they’ve never tried... But hey, you’re welcome to stick with crawling under your Jeep and greasing joints every time you take it out, and having to pull them off and rebuild them. The rest of us will move on to something that works just as well and never needs maintenance
@The Story Till Now, I have a 2.5" lift almost ready to go for my 07 JKU. Pretty much re-doing the entire suspension & control arms with the Teraflex Alpine control arms. I cant wait! Why did you go with the STG3 shocks and not the monotone shocks from Teraflex??
Everyone gets excited about flex joints and greasable joints but in my experience they require a lot more maintenance and just get tore up. Who really wants to hit 20-30 grease fittings as part of routine maintenance? A full set of control arms is 16 fittings alone. Add track bars, drag link, ball joints, ujoints, drive shafts and so on you end up with a million things to grease.
@@JsGarage Get a Lock N Lube grease fitting, I have the same issue on my long arm ram. Made the job a lot less of a hassle... still sucks you gotta do so many, but it does help. I also upgraded my grease so it doesn't wash out so quickly.
I have a 2021 gladiator sport s with max tow/4.10 gears. I want to go up to a 4" teraflex lift with 37" tires. If i get a taser and have everything calibrated do i have to go up in gears ? I dont do a ton of highway travel and this is not my commuting vehicle. Any info would help.
Shaun, what rims did you use ? It is very nice. If don’t mind how much cost all this lift? And how much the labor? What the complete 4.5 in lift is called? Thanks for your help
When your chuck are leaking, your bump stops are ripped off or deformed, your leaf springs are snapped... His suspension was perfectly fine. As he stared his fox shocks were perfectly good and its the bulk of it.
Super nice quality and apperence Shaum, congratulations, I'm jeleous. I sure will be gald when the TeraFlex's and Rock Krawler's catch up with the diesel specific versions (not interested with spacers). Guess theres not enough market share to make business sence.
I went with a Rock Krawler silverback no limits lift and after seeing this I think I’m gonna invest in coilovers front and rear and just havem rebuilt when needed instead or replacing the shocks.
@@Ryon_Davis adjustable spring rate & dual spring rate with timing rings to stiffen the spring up as you travel up the shock body Btw it is easy to stuff a 12” travel coilover in a JK-JL/JT not very many shocks with 12” of travel paired with springs meant for that type of travel for those platforms. Sure a solid king, Fox, radflo, bilstein bypass shock is better than a single coilover which is why race cars & ultra4 run both. You don’t see anyone racing on springs & shocks for a reason & it isn’t to look cool
@@adidas4275 Most aftermarket suspension kits for the JK, JL, JT come with triple rate coil springs. And how many people have multiple springs they swap out on their road driven rigs? This guy couldn't even regularly grease his control arms. As for "stuffing" a 12" coilover in any of these platforms. What's the gain over the investment?? To actually use that travel involves new upper and/or lower mounts. If you're gonna use it correctly. Otherwise you'll end up with gobs of bumpstop and limit strap. Which you might as well do anyway to avoid damage to the coilover. At this point you might as well long arm it and do new driveshafts. The OP was stating his want to invest in coilovers was for the ease of having them rebuilt, and not having to replace them. Not the need for more travel. I'd personally rather a better dampener than more travel I might not use. And since we all drive racecars/ultra4 cars. I love a good apples and oranges comparison. Both 4600 Ultra4 stock class cars I've competed in have coil springs and run 14" travel shocks. Since this would be the closest thing to compare to a road legal vehicle. So yes, I have seen people racing on springs and shocks.
OMG the best part about this video is watching you wash your vehicle. Nice, smooth, dedicated pattern no Spazzy wand whipping everywhere. This is how I explain it to my boys. Grab hold of the wand, (before water comes out) and move it around like an idiot. DOes that wash the car? Is the car getting clean? NO. Ok now let's turn on the water pressure. Just hold the wand (not too close) steadily and slowly move over the dirty parts. Wow, the dirt falls away. Question, is it the spazzy movement that washes the dirt, or is it the water pressure that cleans the car? Thank-you for enabling me....LOL.
I watch your videos because I have a Gladiator on order and am now going to outfit it with the Falcon suspension... and because I get out of the city every chance I get, to avoid the rediculous laws.
Greetings! Thanks for the great video. But why paint the rear axle with a spray and not remove rust and dirt? Indeed, after 6-7 days, it will again begin to be covered with corrosion. (English is not my native language)
Big fan here! This is the best Jeep Channel by far! I’m looking to upgrade the suspension on my Gladiator. If you don’t mind me asking, what would be the cost for a setup like that installed?
Any updates on the adapt? Looking to do the RT2 lift with the 3.5 adapt shocks when my 23 JTR gets here. I don’t think there’s a single review of these shocks anywhere that’s not from Teraflex don’t get me wrong Teraflex puts out great videos but I would love to see some from other end users
Question: why did you choose not to run boots on your Falcons? I have the 3.2s, love them. I'm in Washington and chose to use the boots but wonder how necessary they are. Esthetically they look better without.
I don't think I want to know how much this upgrade cost, but you're channel must be doing quite well. Glad things are going so well for you, love your videos.
That's what plan to do on 2016 Oscar Mike junk jeep parts go TF . Can't wait see how much enjoy suspension Shawn that's major change get some durability last longer down trail . Better investment .. You going change out drive shaft ? It's on my bucket list for mine .
8:19 wait so you can just paint over dirt and rust like that ? cause i got some rust in my gladiator and i wanna know if i can just go crazy and make it look new under my truck
