The Irish are becoming a minority in their cities and towns because of the numbers of immigrants coming in. A government has a responsibility to its own citizens first. We have 14,000 homeless including 4,000 children. We should be allowed to discuss this issue.

That isn't the case. Let me give you an example: Nobody would accept it if their landlord made it so that strangers were allowed to live in your house permenantly, gave them your keys, let them use your belongings, took one of your bedrooms, use your money and even do you physical harm. But when it's the government doing it no one has anything to say.

Knock had 12.000 Indian ( catholic) a couple of weeks ago and some celebrated it( robert nugent) Regardless of faith ,nationality, race,etc etc - irish Catholics must come first in ireland- It's our inheritance and we must fight for it 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

I sense a distaste of the right wing surge in France and all across Europe Father. I agree with lots of what you say not that. I say "Viva Le Pen "and Victor Orban and all the so called far right leaders. They are the only one who are confronting the immigration chaos head on and doing something about it. They have more courage and integrity the whole crew combined who run this sorry state.How I wish we had an Irish Orban or a Le Pen.

Thank you for raising this subject, Fr. My opinion on the matter is this: - The benefits of multiculturalism are often overstated. - Mass immigration is being forced upon Ireland at the hands of the Gardaí. - We ARE being replaced. - Mass immigration is a weapon. - We need to put a hard cap on the percentage of non-irish in Ireland so that we don't become a minority in our own country. - Mass immigration has destroyed every European country, Poland and Hungary excepted. - The govt has just launched a National Action Plan Against Racism. This will be used to silence anyone who speaks out about the replacement of the Irish people. God bless you, Fr 🙏🏻

The problem of immigration is not worse in Ireland than in France England or Italy. This is not a situation that has created itself out of thin air or because people want to leave their families and cultures in Africa or the Middle -East. This is funded by NGOs that in turn are getting funds from Banks and Governments to promote expatriation, organize it, and give legal advice when needed. This is a Nihilistic attitude to usher in the next stage of dissolution to better govern the many by the few. To let us fight each other so we can be better managed. The Catholic Church must wake up to gather the flock and evangelize the newcomers. The Church must stop pandering to the Governments that are not there to help you but to rule you.

The Catholic Church (which Fr Bren counts around 10,000 only...they, being committed Christians) is full of dead wood (the bishops, aka senior management of an ngo, most clergy and nuns and the ffg voting public in the pews). We, the real committed followers of Christ, are awake but 3 generations of mouldy dead wood is stopping us proclaiming the Gospel. But Christ will have His way......

I disagree. The pro rata number of immigrants to Ireland is much higher, is truncated into a shorter time period and .. the impact on lack of accommodation for the Irish as negatively affected is absolute. Whatever hope you had of a house on a council housing list in 2022 was wiped out completely when the government invited up to 200,000 Ukrainians into Ireland, unconditionally.

Thanks Father The old adage: good fences make good neighbours. Product of foreign antecedents here. Great grandfather, Germany arrived here circa year 1900. With financial capital. Had a business here too. Maternal side, English : English grandmother married my Dublin born bred, grandfather. Raised protestant she converted to Catholicism and became more Catholic than the catholics themselves! This country is being subjected to a social engineering experiment. Added and abetted by the political government and more nefariously by the permanent government the civil service. I fully agree with your suggestions throughout this podcast.

Thank you Father. AIM : One world Gov,One world Religion and one world currency. To achieve the above it is essential that Nationalism,religion and the family be destroyed.Immigration is one of the arrows in the Quiver . There is no mistake been made here,our Gov are just following orders and will continue regardless. I am not sure that the original people in N America would agree with your supposition of a well managed immigration. There has always been an organic flux of populations but this is different.Those who were not thought Irish history should look to the events from 1610 in the N of this Island for an example of a premeditated and deliberate movement of a population who were all white and Christian ( ok I grant you there was a problem !! ).It has not necessarily been a good thing for all concerned,a flame that could be lit again if so required. The idea that immigration,diversity is necessarily a good thing is unproven and mass forced immigration has always been a big problem. The happiest are those who are among those closest in ethnicity and religion with common values and a sense of shared belongings and a historic relationship that binds. We are a tribal people. Of course the Q is why and who are the driving this. Look to those who really control power and your ability to speak out,it is not the Dail or Senate,they are mere Quislings and conduits.

OH BOY ! Where does one start 🤔 ??? Well firstly, you are Right about bringing up this subject, and as you say, it should be Open to discussion.., Why ??? Because it’s More Spiritual than most want to imagine 😮 What I can’t understand is, Why did the religious give up on listening to the Word of Wisdom ? Why is it so common to deny the existence of the native Irish ethnicity, we're not just a mixture of foreign ones. How can a nation be a nation of emigrants when by definition they are those who have left, not those who remain

The reason why Father said a nation of "emigrants" is because it is important for a nation who has had so many of it's citizens become immigrants themselves be respectful of those immigrating to their own motherland - otherwise it would be hypocritical. He also said that Ireland is a nation of immigrants. He never said that ethnicity didn't exist. What he said was that people to concerned about supreme races are involved in a creepy discussion. Because ethnicity is related very much to culture, and since culture was mentioned much in the video, it is clear that there was no denial of Irish ethnicity. He said that immigration must be managed properly so that those coming in can properly assimilate. Assimilate into what? What else? Ethnicity and culture.

@@bigbassbomb88 First off, I was defending what Fr Brendan said in the video. So maybe you should argue with him instead. But if you'd like to discuss the matter, I'll respond to what you said: What was meant by "nation of immigrants"? This does not mean that the Irish have never settled or that they never had multigenerational upbringings or that they do not have a true ethnicity. What it means is that the peoples came from multiple backgrounds which make up what are now the Irish. Every nation on earth is made up, originally, of immigrants. His point was that it is more culture and ethnicity than race. That is the case with most nations. You say that Ireland is "one of the purest nations on earth." I honestly have no idea what you mean by that. You are obviously not speaking of race I hope. If you are, I would say that God sanctifies and purifies souls rather than being born into a heritage. So if the Irish or any other ethnicity wish to be seen as pure by God, they need to follow His commands. You accuse me of being a Mongol as if that would be a bad thing. Fr Brendan seems fairly Irish to me. I have multiple ethnicity backgrounds, like most people. I have some French, English, Scottish, and Irish ancestors - and probably more. Regardless, some of my ancestors found a sweet home in Ireland long ago. One of them decided to come to Canada and we've been here ever since. I am working on getting my Irish citizenship as I am proud of my Irish ethnicity. It is good to be proud of our people and ethnicity; but it is anti-Christian to spread misleading and dangerous racial propaganda - which is something that did not come from Christian culture (it actually came from secularism). Every ethnicity, tribe and tongue shares the Catholic heritage and can bring its own unique beauty and talents to the Church. We all come from Adam and Noah. In the new covenant we all can be under Christ, the Second Adam. I am proud of being both Irish, Canadian, and Catholic. I am also proud of my other backgrounds - even the ones that I am unaware of. I consider all the saints, from every tribe and tongue, to be my brother and friend. And I consider everyone still on earth to be a potential saint. God bless.

This priest is living in cloud cokoo land. He is not in touch with the reality of this situation. He forgot to mention that come Christmas the Irish in cork city will be in a minority and I'm sure the rest of cities and towns in Ireland will follow suit. This is a deliberate agenda to get rid of white western Christianity.A rabbi on RU-vid said that they would use the Muslims as a broom to sweep us Christians out. I'm sure you can find it on RU-vid. Other person's of the same race said the Europe will no longer be a homogeneous nation..and this is quite evident.God created borders and nations and what's happening now in Europe ,the core of it is demonic..Unfortunately this priest is unable to see this,and it's because he is living in the world instead of it.

I was wondering if the subject of boosting the native population would come up, and it did, and fair play. Here in France, the official figures for 2023 showed 45000 babies LESS! born compared to the previous year (which was already lowish) Some demographic expert allegedly commented that very soon we will be manufacturing more coffins than cradles. Are we seeing the results of 40 / 50 years of contraception and abortion (I'm referring to France here) Ireland would seriously want to maintain its native population, here in France the lack of balance (so to speak) is very obvious in some areas particularly the bigger cities, but not only. Also, I remember seeing a few years ago when I was back over there for hols a problem regarding the high number of people on hospital waiting lists. Can a country seriously take on the health care of large numbers of migrants when the health care system is already under a considerable strain? Just wondering. Anyway, I think that was a well balanced video.

Why are you afraid to use race when God willed the diversity of races present in the world today, the founding fathers of our nation had no problem with using race as an indicator of who the Irish are as a people. I don't think God would like the extinction of any race or in Ireland's case sub race of white Europeans to be erased/genocided which is what will happen if the current trend of immigration continues. The Irish people are more than a culture. If everyone thought the most important thing about a people was it's culture rather than the very people themselves while they are being replaced in their own nation, then shortly that people along with it's culture would be in a museum. We need to follow the example of Denmark. They had mass immigration until their rulers actually started listening to thier people. Result, they recognised the primacy of the native population, they deported the undesirables and they dramatically cut down on new intakes and forced open the gettos and brought in programmes where immigrants were forced to learn Danish and take reasonable work to make them into productive members of society. Also they clamped down on hatred spewing immams and " community leaders"

This is not immigration. This is invasion. If the west is invaded to this degree there will be no diversity anywhere. I’d like to go to France and meet French people. Go to Spain and meet Spanish people. Ireland should be, by a large majority, Irish people.

It's very difficult to find practicing Catholic men in Ireland who are not already married for some time, or elderly. If you're a woman who wants a true Catholic marriage and a family, it's next night to impossible. I truly believe that the lack of faith in the real sense has contributed directly to low marriage and birth rates in Ireland. People no longer give their lives to God. Everyone wants to control every aspect of their lives to the nth degree. God doesn't get a look in. So, with plenty of opportunities to become involved with non Catholic or non practicing men, I currently choose to be single. I see perhaps fostering in my future as a way of helping children who need safety, stability and love in their lives.

@Gate-of-Dawn I'm 39 years young and male 😅 I've lived a "colourful" life for 20 years, before hitting rock bottom and been saved from self-destruction by the grace of God. If it's Gods will, I'll meet someone and settle down. I can't expect to have my cake and eat it....I squandered my prime years and there is a price to be paid for that! It's a tough time to be a young, devout Catholic in Ireland if you're trying to find someone to settle down with. My heart goes out to them. BUT, hope springs eternal ☺

I passed the grand canal this morning (near harcourt terrace) and more illegal tents have been put in between of metal barriers! Around 8 tents..In the afternoon something happened as garda vehicle was present on Harcourt street, two gards holding a foreign looking man (20s, looked like a north african) in a lobby of nearby hotel (I was there).

It appears that tents are being set up on the grass margins inside the metal barriers. Later on, we'll find these barriers ending up in the canal itself. This problem isn't going to go away and will get a lot worst.

We have to move judiciously, take on board the experience of other countries. Not go blindly where angels fear to tread. Uphold the laws on migration and ensure that we manage this change with great care. Up to now, this has been an unmitigated disaster. Most of all we must ensure that our national security is paramount. Allowing people in who have no documentation is asking for serious repercussions. Our resources are limited. The government has primarily a responsibility to look after its Irish citizens and those who follow migration protocols. Common sense on this issue surely can’t be that difficult. Thank you for adding some to this issue.

Thats the point that ireland are under europe rule.? Uk has come out of eu, yet we are still under this problem , where the goverment are not taken action. According to the public. We need allot of healthcare doctors has jobs in these areas. Another problem is housing, and criminal activies. Has UK is more diversity i think then ireland. And child birth is down in EU too.

I'd love you to say more about funerals and eulogies, I agree so much with what you've said. I've become snobbish about the funeral performance that families put on, I regard it as low class. A true Catholic woman I know is one of the few who thought of the fate of the dead soul, most likely in Purgatory and so in need of our prayers. Any hobbies or interests I have I enjoy but I don't care if they follow me into the afterlife, I'd get sick of anything after too long. So much of my taste have been formed by time and place, in another time and place I'm sure I would have had different distractions. I have just listened to your video in my opinion it is a fair and reasoned take on the present situation. Citizens are rightly concerned with large numbers of male of which little is known entering our country . I have little faith in our governments ability to handle the present situation with their NGO friends who only use slurs to deflect any reasonable criticism.

Well said Fr. I live in Derry and our parish has a lot of new arrivals from India.They are the most lovely people and indeed put us to shame as far as practicing their catholic faith.They are so respectful in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament and the young people are all involved in church

Father, While good people like yourself intellectualize this problem, the hordes keep coming. Ireland is a small landmass with a small population. It won’t take long at all to replace its culture with the immigrants’ cultures. Time to say no to the European paymasters. And yes, Irish culture has been affected by outsiders in the past, as you correctly point out. The important thing to remember is, those historical “enrichments” came via violent invasions.
