I finally took some time to get acquainted with Scratch Banks on my Rane Seventy. Its a very useful tool that I should have taken advantage of years ago.
the possibilities for multi-beat blends is what id use it for mostly. i don't understand why they don't let you replace the sp6 with this on any mixer/controller.
Thanks for breaking this down. I was wondering what the difference between scratch bank and sampler was and why it is such a big deal. You can even load 16 different songs in quick succession. 🙏🏽
Yeah, I see that now. For some reason Quicktime screen recording does that. I'll have to remember to resize the Serato window the next time so that the full window is captured.
My question is - can you have 3 sources playing - including the scratch bank.. like if you have a track playing on that deck and you grab scratch bank clips - will it keep the song going while you hit some scratch phrases??.. let's say if you have just one turntable - or you do have to do the instant double thing...
To get three sources playing you would have to use the sampler. Once you load a scratch bank it takes over the deck you load it to. You can hit Shift and any pad to reload the original song that was on the deck, but it's not going to continue playing while you are using the scratch bank.
Does your Rane Seventy works all normal as expected or you still have screen issues you mentioned earlier? Also how are the faders? You noticed any bleeding while using the 70?
@@logisticalstyles No, I don't own the Rane Seventy but I plan to buy the exact same setup in a week (Rane 70, Reloop 7000 MK2 x2 and Phase), so I'm doing my research if it's all gonna work properly. Turntables don't worry me at all, but I'm looking at all the possible issues and reviews of the mixer. How is that setup working for you? Any complaints or advice? 🙂
