I am on my husband’s IPad so all my comments come under his name. He has got me several beautiful tea pots and cups but nothing compared to your collection! I really enjoyed your video so much! I like that you use doilies. My husband teases me about using them but I think they make an elegant statement on a table or cabinet.

Those little square dishes with the violets on were actually individual ash trays back in the 1950/60’s. The little lip of gold was to hold your cigarette. But they make good tea bag holders. Enjoyed your video.

Love your collection!! Have you thought of putting padded shelf liner or soft lace or material as runners,so you don't chip your teacups? Do you use your teacup sets? I love your single teacups,as long as they have flowers or fruit you can always match them with odd saucers. The one color can always match with any saucer,in the same color theme. Sonetimes,the table setting can be mix-matched You have a lovely collection. I also use circles of felt between the cup and saucer,when storing or setting in your cabinets,also for your china plates etc. One of your single teacups,matches that saucer on the 2nd shelf that you said doesn't match. I even use my teacups for coffee and hot cider. Your cups that have chips,use to hold miniture floral arrangements for your table settings. some of the tea cups don't fit the saucer,because the saucer is a sandwich or pastry or tea sandwich plate. When the teacup doesn't fit the saucer,is because the saucer is for a larger teacup base. You actually have sets that match on your single table. A full tea set has the teapot,creamer and sugar and sandwich plates and often salad plates. Usually dinner plates come in a fulll set of china. Do you use tea cozies? Teacup saucers always have the indention in the center to keep the cup from slipping. Your one cup sits in a groved saucer. If you get the two handled teacups,they are actually for cream soup. I enjoyed your collection Do you sell? They are ashtrays.but can be used to hold the teaspoon. We do not find many teapots or tea settings here. I love your window with sills.Your windows look hand made.. Your flamigo salt and peppper shakers,matches your Flamingo teapot or coffee pot. Iove love your colletion but I am.partial to violets. Your daughter has a keen eye for beauty. I love the teapots she purchased and the one with the blossoms from.China is special The teapot you said was your mother's looks like McKenzie Childs.

The little plates are tea bag rests, you were using them right. Just have fun with them. Loved seeing the collection, so fun!

I love your collection. I also collect cup and saucers. But at one point I had no place to keep all of them. So now I do craft fairs bazarre. I make basket. With mix and match pieces . Some will have Tea Pots. I also Make Coffee Baskets and add Special coffee packets . They are usually made for one person. Sells are good for one person weather Tea or Coffee. And I love to meet others that our like Us.

What a wonderful collection. Can you give me any information on the tall teapot that matches the hanging cups (pink roses)? I have my moms who passed away long ago and I treasure it. Its missing the top and there is no info on the bottom. It looks like it had a music box attached at one point thats no longer there.

I don't know the price or what your pink Hall teapot is worth but when you make tea in a teapot it's heavy like that it really stays warm for a long time. And that pink color goes perfect with all your tea cups that have pink roses on!! I just bought a tea set that has sandwich plates teacups sugar bowl and creamer and a beautiful teapot. It's Japanese lusterware. It has some flowers on it a daisy and maybe a mum and is just absolutely beautiful... You need to look them up on eBay or look for one in an antique shop or Thrift Shop and add one of them to your collection perfect for just a couple of friends over for sandwiches and tea or tea and cake.

the little set are ashtrays -- see the gold dips for a cigarette to rest on. Lots of people used them in the 1950's

The style with the single rosebud is called Moss Rose. Many companies used this design.

Loved seeing all your tea cups and saucers, teapots and tea accessories. The pink hall teapot is in the Victorian plume pattern and sells for $25 - $30. Not sure what the little stacked square violet plates are. I first thought they were teabag holders but with the small indentations on each side, I wonder if they are not spoon rests or something similar. I once saw a similar set in antique store labeled as personal ashtrays. I like the idea of tea bag holders or spoon rests better.

Those are saucers under the cups, not "plates"

I just stumbled upon your video, and enjoyed it so much as I am an avid collector, too. About 21 1/2 minutes and you ask what the little plates with Violet flowers are, and those are ashtrays! Like you, I would use them for a butter pats. That was my first thought, and it’s always fun to be able to re-purpose a pretty item.

The outside of my tea set is plain and the inside has the beautiful gold with the rose and I’m going to set mine like you did too! If you ever get to Texas outside of Austin there is a small town called Gruene Texas I think it’s maybe 45 minutes or an hour from Austin… I really don’t pay attention because I’m always in the passenger seat lol. But their main street has antique shops on both sides it’s a whole lot of fun !!!! so if you ever get here to Texas I suggest stopping in that small town😀 everything that you like the stuff that you like is there! And they even have depression glass sometimes… My favorite is the blue

I just found your channel! (Liked and subscribed!) I LOVE your collection! I also love to collect random tea cups, with or without saucers, and mix and match them. That rose pattern that you have a lot of cups and saucers, plus tea pots and the cream and sugar without a lid….. I believe they are the vintage Moss Rose pattern. There is even a tea pot in that pattern that is musical, and plays “Tea for Two”. I also collect the vintage ash tray sets ~> the little square “dishes” with an indent for a cigarette…..and use them for tea bag holders. 😊

I have a huge collection of cups and saucers. Been collecting for year I had a shelf built all the way around my kitchen above the cabinets. Saucers stand up and cups sit in front of saucer. I do have some teapots. Nothing as fancy as yours. Love your collection.

I’m a new subscriber, I loved this video. I also collect but I have to be careful because I don’t have room to put things or any way to really display them. I have things sitting all around the house. The pieces that you have that have been broken and glued. Try soaking in acetone. It may take a while but it will usually come unglued. Then you can glue it back properly. I’ve done this before.

You might be able to repair a teapot that has the applied roses by using a bit of that paint that will make a raised Dot for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. There's a RU-vid channel Named Sue me on RU-vid. She does different videos on her Channel summer on how to repair items or paint items some are how to make tidbit trays, repair lamps. She also goes 2 antique shops film some items that are interesting and some items that she's bought. So she shows you the item in the shop then she talks about it in her kitchen and shows it as a close up. She's a very very interesting person and RU-vidr and it was amazing how she was able to fill in on an item with that paint that was the same color as the little chip on the China. If I think of the name of the kind of pain it's just with the the basic acrylic paint you can get at Walmart or whatever I will come back and edit my comment. The stuff is so adorable that my daughter drip some just a tiny drop on the bathroom ceramic tile and after dried I couldn't get it off. She's now 40 years old so it's been on that floor for over 30 years!

I think the little plates you wondered about are individual ashtrays..Look at where the cigarette would lay. I would usethem as butter pats or teabag plates .

Some very lovely patterns but would you show us the manufacturer stamp on the bottoms? Sometimes the pattern names are also on the manufactures stamps along with the country of origin.

You save the best for last! And how lucky you were to find the teacup and saucer after you had the teapot sugar bowl and creamer! And that little sugar bowl without a lid it has a chip in it would make a cute little centerpiece with a miniature orchid in it or a little flower arrangement. We have to treat ourselves sometimes so someday when you need a boost to your step use that set. I have the antique lusterware set I told you about made in Japan and I always put hot water first in the teapot and the teacup the teacup is paper thin... That heats up both pieces so when you pour your hot tea into them... Of course after you dump the hot water out... You don't have to worry I'm not going to crack the teapot or the cops with all this hot tea! Also if you preheat the teapot with hot water it makes a better pot of tea and stays hot longer! I'm going to be on the lookout for that tea set by Lefton beautiful beautiful beautiful

All the cups you're showing without logo on the bottom was most likely made in the United States.

Very interesting item at almost The 7-minute Mark with the container that sits on top of the teapot to brew loose leaf tea. You might be able to find a lid somewhere at Goodwill or a thrift shop always looking boxes that have lids that need mates. Maybe you could make a pattern a circle of what size you need and keep it in your wallet... I am also on the lookout for a pretty teapot with without a lid or maybe a chip in it to use to water my plants with

Those cups and saucers that have an iridescent to them are called lusterware. Also if teacups look fairly new and there's no marking on them they may have had a sticker with country of origin or manufacture on them

Just when I think I've quit making comments cuz I don't want to be a pest and then you show the angel and Roses teapot! What great detail and texture on that teapot and that angel I've never seen anything like that before thanks so much for taking the time to share with us!
