@@POGAuto That doesn't inspire confidence of Tesla. I just had a rear inverter go on my new Model S and it took 3 weeks for them to repair it. They just did the inverter, not the whole drive unit. In my case, it caused the pyro fuse to blow while driving, so I had to coast to a stop in the road. And within 15 mins, the low voltage battery ran out of juice and the entire car went completely dark, even the hazards. After doing some searches online, I am finding way too many people having these issues. It seems like Tesla went cheep on the quality of electronics, and then they designed the car to blow the main fuse if either front or rear inverter shorts out instead of just cutting power to the bad drive unit. Terrible design. I am a car nut and on all sorts of car forums, and I have never seen new ICE cars having this frequent of catastrophic issues that leaves you stranded. No way are EV's more reliable than ICE cars. I am selling my Tesla and going back to an ICE.

Ya we were grateful that they did provide a loaner car. During the 2 weeks they did contact us with updates which was nice.

Did you face similar issue where the car would not shift

@@POGAuto the car was still drivable. But had the front motor disabled message pop up.

I have my model Y for 2 yrs now. I still just drive out at night for the fun out it or make poor excuse just to drive my tesla. Its just fun.
