My Theory On Why Pack Odds Are Ridiculously Low(not just $$$) 

Money. It's because money. Strauss Zelnick's bonus is based off of the amount of microtransaction sales.

Call me crazy but I swear in 2k's algorithm for their pack odds they have a high chance of pulling duplicates. I started playing MyTeam around season 6 and there are sooooo many cards I don't have, yet I pull duplicates all the time. Even when it comes to gold-amethyst cards where I don't have most of them but, i keep pulling dupes. 2k really gotta give us better pack odds, especially since it's so late in the year

No spotlights. No oop. No plumbers. Just a pathetic year.

Here is my issue with people pulling packs, even if you do get the card you want it's worthless because you can't even sell it on an auction house!

I agree 100%. It needs to be an easier and better way for us to go through packs. It takes entirely too long!

To make everyone happy 2k should drop a new card everyday instead of on a weekly basis. It should be available to purchase outright as well as gamble for. It would also encourage people to log on every single day and allow for new content to be added daily for it to not get stale

I ripped packs earlier this year and got loads of cards with lower odds. I open packs in the last 5 weeks and I don’t even get any dark matters… it’s crazy.

I've never watched a pack opening (at least until now). I don't see the point. All that it can achieve is tempting someone to rip packs.

I don’t understand how how people are still talking about buying 2k25. Like why would you? The only way to force 2k hand is to not buy the game. Why are they making a new game every year anyway? It’s like being in a relationship and knowing your partner is cheating on you. But you stay anyway

u can boot up 2k23 rn and dm odds are 55%. 2k is just outdated. Starting 2k25 with season passes already gave it away, the game is 2k24 remastered.

Honestly, they could do the playoff style Contant all year three drops a week pick the top performers let us relive their games and then we get a version of the card. I would be completely happy with that all yearlong. Does not have to be the best card just usable then everybody can use their favorite players and we have variety….

Great point. Its just one more aspect of myteam that 2K has ruined. And dont think it will be any better when 2K25 comes out. Myteam will never be what it was in the past.

Not only have I not put any money into this game since all-star. I'm not even grinding for the free deluxe pack anymore.

1. Seriously think my account is haunted!!! In 2 20 boxes I’ve pulled Gilmore and Jamison that’s 100.00 of real money. 2. It’s July why are we getting golds, saffires, the 2 infamous ameythest Lillard and Kyrie!! 3. Why can’t you get more set Pd,s Diamonds cards from other sets it’s bad enough they take 60% and invincible dupes Sell FOR 3000 Mt!!!! Oh yeah last set I locked instead of an option pack I got a worthless Nebula D Wade who doesn’t even get on the roster. This game needs major help!!!

Every year at the very end 2k releases guaranteed invincible/end game/goat packs. I wonder if they will again this year based on how these odds haven’t changed.

I sold mad cards and got 380k mt. I got no Yao! Them doing away with the opal in packs for Yao is criminal! I’m so sick of this game! I’m not buying 2k25

Don't understand why content team is onto 2k25. It's not like content is based on what happens during NBA season. So many current players only have one card. Hardly any moments card and playoffs promo sucked.

THe thing is they need to add opals and pink diamonds so at the every least you get Mt out of the pack openings

I think it's simply nothing but greed. You have a week to pull whoever you want and it's hard in order to make you spend money if you can't pull them for free. Just an endless loop since they went full gambling. I do think the auction house will return next year but I think there will he a ton of VC only non sellables or non sellable inserts and the auction house will be an afterthought at some point.

To be fair Witness is a chill guy even when he’s hyped…reminds of the meme where every emotion is represented by the same (non)expression. As to the low pack odds, I believe it also taps into the high risk-high reward pathway; it sounds counterintuitive but for addicts the lower the chance, the higher the high when they get a big pull.

They're not changing the odds because they want you to go into 2k25 with the same expectations

I bought one MT 20 box, since it’s the end, got 3 Yaos including the 100 overall. Obviously not typical.

I opened 93 packs 2 weeks ago and didn't get a single card from the set. 0/93 the odds aren't real.

Yeah this was my first year playing 2k and I won’t be buying the next one that’s for sure I didn’t know this was a money dumping game until more seasons started coming out ima in big hole trying to get players I want an sh*t and I’ll stay on 2K24 until I know the game is gonna get better out all the invincibles you can pull the past couple weeks I pulled one and it was Dwight Howard a trash card dude shot was a half hour long he was slow as all hell and tbh I play nothing but online and barley see the invincibles that you pull maybe 3 at tops but that’s it

This is seaosn 8 going into season 9 the last season the end of the game and the odds been the same since season 1 nothing changed and than they drop players every Friday and Tuesday how can you keep up with it unless you got a lot of money to play with you barley earn mt I can play tons of games and only have like 40k mt at the end of the day which is pathetic that gets you 2 packs which you ain’t getting nothing from than they made the prices for players in the market so high that your forced to spend money its the end of the game packs should have way better odds players in the market should be way cheaper not just for the end of the but thru out the out the whole game and at this point every player should he released in the market if this was my game i would he all for my community and making people want to come back and play the next game the odds are only 6% cause they add 7 goat series dark matters in the packs every week it’s the same player just different position which to me is bs 9 out of 10 times your gonna pull the dark matter goat series
