Nikiema Madina is doing a master's degree in Integrated Production and Natural Resource Preservation in Urban and Peri-urban Environments at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech.
Her TFE focuses on the effect of bifacial photovoltaic panels on crop growth on the agroforestry platform of WASABI, the faculty's WAllonne platform for Innovative Systems in Urban Agriculture and BIodiversity.
More precisely, it's about agrivoltaics, i.e. the combination "on the same land surface of energy production and agricultural production."
This field is of particular interest to Madina, who would like to put her knowledge to good use in her native country.
