You’re opening statement is already misleading. Because you already leaving out V-shift. A defensive mechanic that was the same for everyone. And We only got 8 characters at the moment. SF5 the cast had very similar V-reversals at the start of the games life. Do you really think all of SF6 characters will have the same Drive Reversal? The different v-reversals matched the characters play style. So characters like Ryu just knocked you back but R-Mika had a attack throw. Your critiques of SF5 really made no senses
V Shift was when SFV finally got interesting to me but that didn't come out until years after the fact. It was definitely the first mechanic that was truly the same for everyone, but too little too late. Literally shoehorned into the game. So far Drive Reversal has been the same for everyone.
@@ComboDamageTV The Drive Reversal and V-Reversal are pretty much the same. You’re just splitting hairs. And Top players like Brian F have already said the game seems like a revamped SF5. I’m just wondering how long it will take for people to notice it.
@@miyodarius - sounds like an opinion. I hear more people say a blend of Third Strike and IV...also an opinion, and one I side with after playing the beta. Tbh I feel V's DNA the least here out of any SF game. Truth is, if the V-Reversal was actually a reversal for everyone, they never would've added a V-Shift in the first place. It felt like a very "sorry, we messed up that mechanic, here you go, we're giving everyone a real reversal now" last minute update.
@@ComboDamageTV let’s apply your same logic to SF4. “We’re sorry we messed up the focus attacks for many of the characters. Here is the new Red Focus attack that should give everyone a real focus attack now” … every SF they have added mechanics down the line to improve.
