Exactly, I do not get paid to mind anyone else's business. Play your game like you want, especially if it doesn't mess with anyone else. Now I am totally against having people pay real life money for easily obtained items in game, but it's your money spend it how you want but I personally would feel icky about giving over my account information.
That's exactly how I feel and I have no intention of using that glitch. Some people are just haters though. If they can't have something, they don't want anyone else to have it. People shouldn't be upset over something that doesn't affect them.
Don't invite pc players, my friend invited one and they modded and dropped a big amount of dreamshards, my friend doesn't have enough storage so they are on the fIoor, their town is ruined.
@@iaqh wow that is pretty messed up. But there is something that your friend can do to benefit themselves. Tell them to empty their pockets and pick up as many Dream Shards as possible and then turn them into Dreamlight.

YES! Thank you for mentioning this. People are also trying to sell mist and dreamlight but they need players login info! I got kicked out of a facebook group for warning people not to share their password. The post had only positive comments and I'm worried people are going to lose their accounts. I can't believe the mods approved that post then kicked ME out!
That group/owner/mods should be reported for scamming. That’s absolutely not ok. Most people (we would hope) are smart enough not to give their password or game info, but kids could easily fall prey to that.
This is why you’re the best DDV content creator. The way you handled this controversy is the view any DDV player should have. Instead of wanting to ruin for players that want to use like others.
Agree 💯 How someone else plays the game doesn't impact me. For me the grind is horrible. I don't have hours to play everyday. Not to mention the RNG never seems to be in my favor. But i can't imagine paying real money for resources. That i don't agree with

Personally, I think this could be a great solution for everyone who had their dreamlight wiped out with the glitch. Because it doesn’t look like Gameloft is going to reimburse anyone for their dreamlight.

I’ve never reset Scrooge’s store, nor will I do this duplicate thing, but doesn’t affect me if others do. I have limited time to play, but grinding is just part of the game, so I will do it and not rush the game progress. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. 😊
Thanks Serroh! Don’t partake in resets or multiplayer, don’t really want my game messed with by anyone but myself. I grind away at my leisure. To each their own. Have finished all quests without doing any of these. My biggest thing are the horrible drops that occur to get items for making books for time bending but I will keep at it. Absolutely think people charging real money is awful. It scares me with kids playing this so parents make sure to lock up your wallets.

Exploits completely ruin games for me. I did that with ACNH with Treasure Islands and as soon as I had all the items I had zero interest in continuing. Haven’t played since. I’m here for the grind! I think everyone should play their game how they want. To me, the game IS grinding. If I'm not grinding, there isn't much to do. But if you don't want to do that, live your life! Exploit glitches, reset the shop, whatever. It's literally nobody's business. I play Pokemon Go (I know, don't judge) and I always pay money to buy their ridiculous "events" that gives you extra XP or whatever. Some people would think that's cheating, but that's how I want to play, just like how I buy the Star Paths and the expansion for DDV. When it comes to players selling their in-game stuff for real-life money, I think that really violates the spirit of the game. Again, live your life, but that just seems more like taking advantage of people. AND NEVER SHARE YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION! Thanks, Serroh!

So my views are I don't care if others want to exploit, but one thing not mentioned is this is reportable offense and you can be banned if Gameloft decides it's violates their Terms of Service. If you played any mmo in the past some people get their kicks off reporting you. Now that DDV has gone multiplayer I think you'll see more accounts getting reported and banned for violations. Especially if you do it with people you don't know and they want to report you on a whim. For me, what others do is their risk that they are willing to take and not mine. All I can say is good luck.
That's a shame people are doing that to other people I saw the same thing with animal crossing $30 for a thousand bells or nook tickets we should be able to play these games without feeling like we need to pay for it also Happy New Year Serroh :).

Whoever wrote the description made this twice as complicated as it needs to be. Basiccaly guests can pick up any item that is dropped in the hosts valley prior to the hosts most recent save.
I’ve been grinding for about 8 days now and have made 16 time bending manuals - with the help of a few friends who have found a couple dinglehoppers for me- those darn forks! Lol but damn I could have made one and duplicated? Less satisfying I think but I may have been tempted!
I don't mind what other people do but I do not like that people have to charge for something that is free.I see it happen all the time on other games I play and it's not cool. Happy New Years.
I spent so much time grinding for gifts to craft time bending manuals, that I have accumulated enough mist to unlock all my areas in eternity isle, which is the reason why I wanted more time benders in the first place. 😂 No need for this glitch now lol. 😆
I would say a large number of people who play this game are adults. If they want to spend their real life money for DLV resources, it ain’t none my business. If they want to exploit the game’s exploits again it ain’t none my business. I just take care of CookieCoCo’s valley and keep it pushin.
It hurts nobody so I don't care if people use it or not. I am on Playstation and it's too much work for me and my sister to put the playstation on and off like tons of times. So I prefer the usual grind. It takes long too but at least I don't waste my time waiting for my Playstation to turn on and load the game again. It's more fun to me like that.
Im so happy this is your take on it and not the take where you urge people not to do it but say ultimately it's your choice, it could be good in these circumstances *insert circumstances* but then they submit a ticket about it. That just seems super shitty to me, especially when they know it's been available to pc players through mods the entire time. That's so unfair, trying to get an exploit fixed so specific people can't use it, meanwhile, if you have a pc, you do you. That really didn't sit right with me 😞 I've played from the beginning and have pretty much no iron, whilst im absolutely swimming in gold 😂 and don't get me started on dark wood 😠😂 This exploit could right so many wrongs in this game 😂
I would never urge the community to submit reports. It's not my place to do so. That decision is for each person to make on their own. I will always give my honest opinion. I dont mutiplayer or reboot. Being that, it is terrible trying to get the 3 types of items for time bending manuals. On that note, can you bring a non timebender, say micky, and have a higher chance of getting a pink bow, then if you bring a time bender that is not part of mivky and friends line. I only have the 4 new characters as time benders yet.
Before the last update people were speculating on what we would be able to trade. Like could we trade star path items for example. I said that they would never let us trade star path, founders pack or premium shop items. One reason being that people will sell that stuff for real money(yes they would likely do it with scrooge shop items as well but people are more likely to pay for the more rare items). And that being the case it would make moonstones virtually worthless because to make it worth buying they'd have to charge less than the price of the moonstones needed to buy the items. Doesn't even have to be a lot less either. So gameloft would lose a crap ton of money between that and the fact that people wouldnt buy future editions of the game because they could just buy the exclusive items by themselves for cheaper from a 3rd party. If people are seriously trying to sell stuff for real money already i think it will hurt us all in the long run cause i fully believe they will never give us the ability to trade even basic scrooge shop furniture for this reason.
Just play honestly.But to each their own. Not my chickens not my farm. I worked hard to get everything I have. My opinion it makes the game fun for me. I love the challenge.🤗
If DDLV was a multiplayer game I think the whole duplicating items thing would be bad, but since it's not I've got no problem. I actually just participated in a test someone on your discord was doing to try this out and now have a full inventory of Dreamshards (perfect since I lost all my Dreamlight from that one glitch). I don't agree with giving your account information over to people, but I don't see an issue with buying items with real money if folks want to pay, they work for it so they can do what they want with it. Most of the people that would have access to those kind of places are adults anyways.
@@Lilitha11 To clarify: it's not a multiplayer game like say, Elder Scrolls Online or Fortnite is for example. Multiplayer is surface level and there is no competition between players, so it is functionally singleplayer even though the game has a multiplayer option.
@@FrogglesMcBoggles There is competition in the form of dreamsnaps, but I know what you mean. However, it has always been there plan to expand the multiplayer for the game. So we don't really know what the end result is going to look like for multiplayer and cheating might not be good for their plans.

Sadly when I played animal crossing new horizons, I did buy nook mile tickets and gold with real money then boom I lost interest though I kinda wish we can see what comes in the premium shop without waiting days cause I wanted the park entrance in the premium shop after I saw a bridgerton inspired thing in Disney dreamlight valley but I didn’t have moonstones and It hasn’t come back and now there are other things I want which is very expensive
Happy New Year Serroh! My husband just surprised me with a PS5 last night , so I'm playing DDV on it right now. It's soooo much better than the PS4. Anyway I would never pay anyone real money for items for this game. Yes I hate the grind at times especially trying to get coins and mist but I'm living pay check to pay check and I don't want to get scammed by people over items in this game. That's like buying moonstones from the store, I quit doing that when the dream snaps started. What do you mean by the scrooge shop reset?

its always up to the player if they want to duplicate play how you want to play some ppl cant grind as long as others or maybe they just dont like the grind no judging here, but charging real money is just not right i would never do that give ppl my money its just soooo wrong no matter how you try to spin it.
i never pay for things you can get it in game already its much saver to stay on your own game even if its broken its better to do that then pay money for stuff
I find it kind of awful that people are charging irl money for items they are duplicating but if someone wants to duplicate to reduce grinding…well, it’s not my game. I am trying to play the game as intended, all the exploits I used for ACNH really shortened the life of the game for me. I don’t want to lose interest in DDLV.
It's an exploit. Not intended. I don't agree with it and I don't agree it doesn't affect us. Everything affects us because it makes statistics that devs are seeing useless. For example, a new player isn't all over social media and starts to play the game. And then they grind and grind iron and just stop because it's not fun. If the devs saw many people are having this issue, maybe they'd change some things. But they don't see it because most of others are just duplicating their iron. It could also affect item rotation, moonstone gain and so on. Dreamsnaps since you have more items to use and directly compete against others who don't. Even gifts we receive. If people feel the need to duplicate things, then the devs should solve the underlying issue (the grind or availability), not just let SOME players find some ways around it.
I probably wouldn't use the glitch but i honestly don't care. But people who sell materials for real money is just disgusting. I hope Gameloft is seeing this because this isn't right.
Gameloft might not care, but there is some possibility people could get banned for this. People are making the assumption you can do whatever you want when you play games, but that isn't true. In multiplayer games connected to a server, there are definitely things that you can and can not do. While multiplayer is fairly limited at the moment, they plan on greatly expanding it, and having people selling huge quantities of stuff they cheated to make, might rub them the wrong way. They might see people selling stuff for real money and then see accounts with like 10,000 time books and pull out the ban hammer. They don't have to warn people this is against the rules before banning them. Just because they let stuff like the Scrooge exploit go, doesn't mean they will look the other way for this, which is a far more severe exploit.
I’m not sure selling stuff is so bad. Each has to choose to use their money themselves. They’re not being forced to buy. If they are not getting what they pay for? Now that’s a problem. iPhone video games offer these “great deals” actually have very little value. A common practice that Apple sees no problem with apparently. To me that’s stealing from the customer. But if 2 people agree to the transaction and it is properly completed? Why not? Just thoughts.
I don't really care what anyone does with hacks and glitches. More power to people to take the time to do it. Never really cared about the scrooge shop reset hack so I never did it. Whatever I get in shop is was I get. Now with this item glitch going on, I personally would like to start doing it (if I ever found people who where willing) . Yes I like the grind for materials when playing but that was all I every did. I just now started to make a better storage system in my house be cause the the DLC but ever that is going to take forever because of how expensive it is to make a large chests after i finally managed to make a ton of small chests before that. Others may make the time ti grind so many things like you gold coins for upgrading you house levels or dreamlight for large chests. At some point because of all the grinding the needed to be done for everything, i started going from playing every day for hours to only junping on like 2 weeks before the star path ends to grind through that. When Penelope came with a update I only did the required dreamsnap to get her to my valley. In the end there will be 3 side to every hack or glitch: 1. The ones how dislike any and all things other that playing the game as intended.(some people may also look down on the people who use them) 2. The ones how look at the hacks and glitches as a way to improve the gaming experience. (Grind burnout is REAL) 3. The ones who could not care less about the hacks or glitches as long as it does ruin their SOLO experience. Also i know there will people who will say that the new glitch will cause trouble with Dreamsnap ranking. In my opinion, if you have good design skils then you shouldn't be that worried. Votes are made by the opinions of others (or from the people speeding through voting to get the moonstones) so if they like your picture then they will. Definitely money could be made. lol I spent $10 for 99 time bending manuals and 10 stacks of x99 whatever i wanted. I don't mind spending $10 for all that though. As someone who works 45 hours a week, I don't want to be grinding non-stop to never really get far in one sitting (which to me is like 3 hours at most) . Money isn't an issue for me so $10 isn't a drop in the bucket. lol This exploit I feel is good to know though. I don't personally want to take the time with someone to have to keep constantly duplicating so the $10 is better for me because its done already and I get a lot for that amount.
Until they fix game breaking bugs, banning anyone doing Scrooge refreshes, giving people back their lost Dreamlight, they have no business banning players for using this glitch.
