Man it's been while since I touch AL, but I did remember the one PvP where I got wreck by them because my BB fired AP, and AP sucks versus Light armor.
I don't even know how many re-writes I did on this video. At least 3...and even then...I contemplated the jojoke being in this video...glad I found a spot that it worked in. Nonetheless, apologies for the long delay... On a side note, I know what joke needs to come back with Shinano... *maniacal laughter*
Atleast u have kaga, Im a f2p new player that is farming fox mines right now, and after 1683 attacks, i still have 0 copies of Kaga, and 2 copies of Akagi.
Erebus and Terror were actually used to explore antartica. In antartica there is a place called mount erebus and mount terror that are actually volcanos named after these ships. The 19 and 91 luck is ( probably ) relating the 19-20 january 1991 as a madlad got on the top of it solo.
3:58 A small correction: Almost all BBs and BCs get +2 secondary mounts at LB2. The only exceptions I found are: Bismarck-class and Mikasa with +1 secondaries (Mikasa has a 2nd secondary gun instead of an AA gun too), Scharnhorst-class with +0 (they get their Torpedo Launch skill instead) and Odin's special secondaries are unlock at dev10 and she doesn't get any extra mounts after that, but she also has equippable torpedoes instead of a normal secondary gun.
Using Erebus and Terror made my Monarch back then so much more effecient. Also that Touhou bullet hell with Nagato. Holy sh*t! Requesting for Le Malin to be added in the list 🙏
With both of them at 120, from my experience: - You can use them in any clear fleet if you have Ryuuhou together with them, ideally Akashi too for anti-air if you are in chapter 13 - Don't expect them to clear 3*CV/BB nodes in chapter 13 unless you bring a full vanguard - It might be hard on auto if it's not on safe - They can be used in a boss fleet as a flagship up to 12-4
@@muhammadkhalid4037 In the prologue, Hood is seen fighting Bismarck. Bismarck takes a shot that causes the demise of HMS Hood (the shot split her in two)...hence the joke.
Thank Goodness I have these two... Thanks, Hawk! and also forgive me for not appearing on your stream (as I mean commenting) I have been busy these few days ;-;
How Terror and Erebus luck is different is because Terror been scuttle due to damage from air and mines. While Erebus live to the end of the war then scrap.
I use 1 of them and 3 common or uncommon destroyers with max lvl, as well as equip them with gold equipments for early event runs, results: 32 oil per fight and can stand up to lvl +100 enemies(auto run)
Erebus was my first ring. Back right after global first launched and powercreep/ship collection were at their minimum. In PvP she'd one shot the frontline. At some point she just started to get deleted. Real hard to find a reason to use her. Feels real bad.
History Lesson Time(!): I think the Reason that Erebus and Terror Have Luck Stats Far off from Each Other is maybe Because of their Service History, HMS Erebus served from the First World War all the Way up to World War Two, and Survived Four Possibility Fatal Damages from her Her Service, she was Scrapped around July of 1946, her Sister Terror wasn't so Lucky as her (See what I did there? No? Okay...), During World War 2 she was Scuttled after being Severely Damaged by 2 Air Attacks and 2 Sea Mines, during the Early Hours of February off the Coast of Libya, though she is no Slouch during World War 1, as she Tanked 3 Torpedo Hits, was Severely Damaged, and Survived. from this Information of Mine, its Safe to Say that there Luck is Based on their Service and the Hell they been through before their Demise, Details like this is why I keep Playing Azur Lane, Naval History! Keep it Up with the Reviews Hawk! its been a While since I've seen One, NGL I Missed it... Keep the Good Shit Rolling, Comrade! and Good Luck in Whatever Endeavors you are Undertaking!
As for Terror's bad luck, she was part of the effort to take Tobruk during the war. She was repeatedly attacked by dive bombers and hit mines until she sank, scuttled near the 25 mi out from Derna after it was determined she wouldn't survive the trip to a safe port.
Erebus was the second purple ship I got and was really nice to have while I was building my fleet back when the EN servers were new and I was grinding through the first 7 maps
It wouldn't really be fair to call monitors the "grandfather of battleships" since you literally mentioned the drastic differences between the two. BBs were always designed for open-water combat that usually oriented around fleets. They took advantage of their speed, range, and armor while monitors never had anything close to all three of those attributes. Monitors were designed for operating in the shallow waters of coastal areas and sometimes lakes or rivers. Monitors spawned from the American Civil War era and the start of ironclad ships while battleships came about from the progression of mounting larger guns on ocean going warships.
I may not know much of the more modern Erebus and Terror, but I feel like they have to be references to the previously named ships of the Franklin Expedition.
I usually use Erebus lb0 lvl 70 while lvling 2 lvl 90-100ish vanguards farming 8-4 mobs, as long as she got a good enough 2ndary gun to take out one suicide boat, she can survive all 4 mob battles Learned something new, did not know that the Monitors have only +1 main gun instead of +2 like BB/BC, since i actually dont use max LB Monitors Also, BB like QE get both main gun +2 and 2ndary gun +2 from full limit breaks Nice video, looking forward to Shinano's
Worth pointing out that while monitors were neither speedy nor durable they were never designed to be, they were gunships in the purest sense of the word, they were towed to where they needed to be and then blew the ever loving (censored) out of whatever it was they were brought to blow the ever loving (censored) out of. Almost always something that couldn't get away like a fort.
I wouldn't call Erebus and Terror grandfathers to battleships. For example they are younger than Queen Elizabeth and Warspite (1916 vs 1913). They were not built to fight other ships. THey are designed for shore bombardment.
@@MiMuMo I would not say Monitors are grandfathers of battleship at all. That would be three-decker sailing ships and armored sailing ships (ex Santísima Trinidad, Glorie, HMS Warrior). Monitors are evolutions of age of sail harbor/river gunboats and bomb ketches. Those are small ships with over sized guns.
Wow. Those combined barrages are seriously satisfying to watch. Thank you for taking the time to record them. I do like both Erebus and Terror as their chibi animation and skins are just so cute. Their interactions as Affinity grows is also endearing. I am not so familiar with the trickster Abercrombie though, as I have not really raised her yet. Thanks a lot for the video! 🙏❤️✨
I think erebus has more luck because she survive WW2 while terror didn't survive the war, also there's a note that saying, it's believe that one of the erebus 15 inch gun is used to equip the last royal navy battleship, the vanguard Interestingly enough, terror have way more history in WW2 compare to erebus, and terror is more thicc is probably because she got hit by 3 450mm torpedo,2 of which cause the anti torp bulge to curve inward, and what make it amazing is nobody die There's so many more on terror history that i will not list here but that's my theory on why erebus have way more luck than terror
Now for Pvp-- No.. *About that* I guess I should point out I actually use Erebus unironically in PvP, her infinite darkness skill isn't all that useful against LB 3 ships but if there's a meme fleet or an enemy fleet with an average level below 50, Erebus And Terror could be decent.. decent for reasons I don't think I need to explain
Did you ever hear the tragedy of HMS Erebus The Bomb Ketch? I thought not... Its not a story a shipfu would tell you... i recommend you do read the story of the old HMS Erebus and Terror (19th century) and how dark things got to them... erebus` name is the name of the dark region of the hades, which, along with her 19th century counterpart`s story, explains a lot about her (and terror too)
With the rumor of buffs being made to ships, I hope they buff Erebus and Terror as well. Odin being a god tier Monitor is nice. Having these two be viable will also be nice.
Suggestion for review, Ise, Hyuuga, Fuso and Yamashiro, in aviation battleship retrofit. They can come quite handy in some situations, and Ise do quite well in pvp, people usually only retrofit Hyuuga as far as I know. Another suggestion would be Suzutsuki, she was quite of a surprise after I max limit break her, she's very strong and do very well in most IJN DD vanguard I tried her, she's definitely a Must for IJN fleets, if you got her in Shinano event... I hope they make Shinano come back soon, I could not get her T.T Keep up the good content, I can't wait for Shinano review!!!!
Many mainly BBV refit Ise and Hyuuga as they don't lose more than they gain for the refit process while with the black cats, just stopping short has better gains.
Well if we can consider that... Actually for me Erebus has the cutest and nicest skin of all with her soft voice, thats why i keep her Secretary (maybe because i am trash weeb and i fall in love with her). Otherwise they are really fragile so yeah... Only for Mob fleets.
terror was my first good Flag ship got Erebus and change her name to ERESER yea that skill is good and when shi gets hit by AP dmg is not that bad ;] and that oil cost oh baby
I had a 1 - 1 fleet of 19 oil with LB Hermes who's cool, and LB Javelin, who's fucking annoying And then Erebus Terror Albacromebie + Ajax Vampire For just 21 oil no LB And I was just amazed
it's an old meme emote from a few servers. It's called notlikeatago. I got it a while back, so I don't think I remember where I got it from. I did google it, and saw that's the first thing that pops up if that helps.
Uhm... QE gets +2 secondary guns. In fact, almost all Battleships and Battlecruisers do. Exceptions I know are Scharnhorst/Gneisenau (+0 but learn torpedo skill at LB2), Tirpitz (+1 and also learns torpedo skill at LB2) and Bismarck (+1).
When HMS Hood fought KMS Bismarck, Bismarck fired a salvo at Hood that caused its demise. People joke that Bismarck literally split Hood in half as a result...hence the 2 for 1 joke.
*slides in here early* *can’t think of anything funny or original, internal screaming in Russian starts to creep in* AYE, LAST TIME I WAS THIS EARLY, FEMINISTS WERE CANCELING AZUR LANE
Hear me out on this; Erebus and Terror becoming the first ships to receive a double retrofit, the first retrofit being to gold rarity, then the second to rainbow rarity. The cost would be absolutely insane, but having two pre-WW1 era battle monitors become as powerful as Yamato and Musashi would be a worth while meme in of itself.
