The stats on this video are out of date. Nagato level 100 stats are way higher now. Noshiro is also a good AA ship for Sakura Empire. Her Vanguard fleet buffs is pretty good as well.

First, add the OG Granny ship/IJN Flagship Mikasa to the list. Since you've covered alot, I'll just note on the meta element; she basically redefined the standards for Fation buffers and has proved to be a rather contentious point in part because Bismarck wasn't quite to the same level, though she's still nigh indispensable to KMS fleets. Also few seems to have noticed the one faction ship that actually matches the claims: Richelieu. Meanwhle HMS fans are waiting for QE's refit

I prefer her sister Mutsu more. Because her Warring States skin imo is like she equipped Kachidoki Arms. And that smug expressing fit so well with Gaim Pre-fight catchphrase "This is my/our stage now!" And for funzy i also renamed both of them, Kouta and Mai.

Her oath skin alone is what got me into this game. She will always be my flagship of choice. It helps that she's really good.

Akagi and Kaga are still as deadly as in the beginning of the game, so Nagato is a plus, and a "must have" in any Sakura fleet, if you want the Fox twins to strike faster and harder.

Getting her on the First Run, and subsequently other Event Exclusive ships on the First Run, is a *Great* Feeling, Good Shit! She's one of my First, how I like call it; "Screen Sweep" Battleship.... Never Mess with the Fox Loli Indeed... Fun Fact: (Even though I'm... Late... by a Year, Life... is Great) The Reason as to Why Nagato and Mutsu, are Lolis or Child Like, is because during their Constructions, Majority of the Funds Donated to Her Construction was from a Kindergarten.... Hence why they look like Kids... but by all Mean, Nagato has a More Mature Mindset, to a Certain Degree, while Her Sister the one that's more Child like, which is Cute in all Respect, but regardless, both may have the stature of a Child, but make no Mistake.... They Hold Enough Power to be Powerhouses in the Sakura Hierarchy, and their Positions as Leaders, is just the Tip of the Iceberg.

Damn, I wish I spent more cubes to get her during the event. I was still relatively new when I joined and this event started running soon after I joined. But I didn't even think to try and get her since I was satisfied with getting Kawakaze as my first SSR ship.

Last time I was this early, Hood was still enjoying her glory days before spending her final years living off her legacy like Al Bundy.

Nagato is not in her modernized version, so she may get a Modernization (retrofit) at some point.

All of my other IJN backliners are on max lb hold at the moment so she's kinda just bidding her time in the dorm building up for now. I vote for a Shigure Retro "thoughts on"! I did some crunching of her numbers and was really surprised. Very high eHP with RoF spec for skill proc, and her Yukikaze-pair barrage fires unexpectedly strong shells. Would kinda like to see her get her due diligence. :)

I joined the game just after the event last year. I was surprised to get all the event ships in only 3 x10 rolls. As soon as I got her, I leveled her to 104 and oathed her. Now, I must commence the slaughter in PvP...!

She is my first SR and oh boy. She is MVP in 90% of battles. Lvl 60 Nagato cleared Sakura event up to B2.

Nagato is great, but she's got flagship role of my secondary Sakura fleet, not my main. I've tried her with Akagi and Kaga, but her buff to Sakura carriers damage doesn't make up for the inconsistent barrage. She _does_ steal MVP every time she gets her barrage off, problem is you can run a whole map sometimes without seeing it proc once.

Fun fact:while Nagato was alive irl her,Yamato and the rest of the center force got their asses handed to them by a group of destroyers destroyer escorts and escort carriers at the battle of Samar. While we lost 3 dds and 2(iirc) CVEs those ships managed to hold of the full fury of the IJN and defended the landing forces as well as destroy Yamatos pride. Never in my life have i ever heard of a battle with odds clearly not in our favor get turned around like this one Also haha buzzsaw go brrrrrrrrr

Perhaps the biggest shame about Nagato is the IJN currently lacks any "modern" backline damage carries. Amagi, Tosa and maybe even Hyuuga are nice enough, but compared what the rest of the other nations are packing for their top tier dps options, they don't really shine all that much. And ironically for a leaderskill focused on buffing CVs, IJN is currently rather lacking in CV department. Akaga outside of their 50% early launch end up not having much to their name afterwards, and the Cranes have a very outdated skills and slow statlines. To make things worse, running CV as your primary dps tends to be super shit in later worlds just due to the sheer amount of Air Resistance the enemy bosses start getting. I suppose this might be the balance "tax" to pay by having the IJN torpedo frontline be absolutely disgusting, to the point where you can literally one shot 13-4's Taihou with the right timing and a bit of crit luck. That said, it's been reported that older SSRs ships will be seeing buffs to bring them back up to speed, and there's also news that Izumo will be buffed (rumors say even into Rainbow rarity??) so maybe IJN will finally get a super carry or two for their backline.

Nagato actually has the lowest firepower stat out of all tge SR Sakura ships, albeit only by a couple of points. It makes sense historically as both the Amagi- and Tosa-class ships were meant to be upgrades ro the Nagato-class, but for one reason or another they kept getting scrapped.

I have to say that from mi experience, Amagi is way superior reason being her efficiency is higher, faster and ap bullets does less to bc while she weakens hexplosives shells. Amagi is just superior in every field than Nagato.
