I didn't get quite a deal as you, but I felt really good about the price and so far it seems very nice and little used. Would you recommend the FZ300 for a studio setup? I use Panasonic g7 for that purpose and am attracted by the simplicity and versatility of the FZ300, as a Swiss army knife do-it-all. I am tired of the clutter of all the lenses for the G7. I do feel a little nervous of the small 1.2/3 sensor though. I am attracted to the simplicity and versatility of the FZ300. Do you think it is a rash move? I don't have the budget to make too many mistakes.
Hi Brian, I don’t know what you exactly mean by a studio set up like for RU-vid, because I use a logitech Brio 4K computer camera to record me in my micro studio, even though I don’t use the 4K I used 1080 P and this camera shines when you have the right light!! I have never used Panasonic Fz300 for a studio set up, sounds like a great video huh I will work that into my schedule, I personally would buy a used Panasonic, Fz300, unless I plan on using it for professional jobs ! thanks for the awesome question. I am sure that the Logitech you are using has an even smaller sensor than the FZ300 and yet your videos look good, so there is no reason why the FZ300 should not be at least an improvement. Yes I think it would be a great video if you showed how to use the FZ300 for a studio set up in place of the Logitech, if you have the time for such a video of course. Thanks for making these videos. I enjoy them.
Yes you can. Both cameras are almost identical. The only problem with yours is your F stop is higher at the long end of your zoom range, which won’t let as much light into the sensor, otherwise, both cameras are pretty much, the same, thanks, Jim for the great questions, have a beautiful day🌤️
Hi Jeffry wonder if you can help. I’m still relatively new to the digital camera world. This summer I took videos with my FZ 300 and had no trouble using my house Wi-Fi to transfer videos to my IPad. I took videos a couple days ago and received a prompt that I couldn’t use Wi-Fi to transfer them. Any thoughts on what I’m not doing right? Thank you
