Jeffrey, my condolences to you and your family on the loss of your brother. I appreciate your style explaining the FZ-300, it is a little intimidating to use but I just love not having to carry around a boat load of lenses with my canon camera. I will be heading to Georgia on a vacation and am very excited to use this I Dynamic with my Priority Mode. It is very dry and brown out here in Arizona, so I am looking forward to some lush green parks etc. in GA. I have been in a little bit of a photography funk and lost my enthusiasm and put it on the back burner. Slowly I am getting back into it with experimenting with my own style of post-production with my images. Cannot wait to see what you have to share about the FZ-300 in future videos! I always shoot in RAW so will this be good to use in RAW as well?
Hi Chuck, thank you for the great message, but I know he’s definitely in a better place, one thing I don’t know if it will affect the raw pictures or not. I have not tried it with Raw ? Welcome back Jeff. Sorry to learn of your Brother. I did wonder if you were ok. Thanks for the info regarding your findings. The results you showed were pleasing for Jpeg. I shoot a bit of Panasonic and found the iDynamic variable depending on light and iso. I’ll will try it with P mode next time. I think you may have found the Fz300’s sweet spot 😊👌
OK....just ran into this video after I watched your other one from 11 months ago. Obviously you have changed a few things which is great. I noticed that in your settings you have the white balance to figure (2) instead of AWB or something else. Do have have a tutorial on white balance settings?
Hi Lucas, wow, mountain bike photography, a great new Avenue , are you talking about taking photos from your mountain bike for scenery, I personally would use the (P)program set your aperture, between “4.0” to 5.0 do not go above this. Diffraction will set in , PS have you looke for my best focus point if you haven’t look for “best focus point” in my video group and set your Camera for that little single focus point this will get you the best sharp pictures. You can also try your vivid profile and in that profile, you can actually change your saturation plus or minus to your liking, if you have any more questions, please contact me ASAP. Thanks, Lucas. Just watched your video. Going through the camera setting was helpful. A couple of points. Not sure how you got in the Program Shift mode. I ended up Googling it and found I had to hold the shutter 1/2 down and then turn the dial. I don't recall what your were using for white balance. Is is AWB? In any event, looking forward to shooting some pictures with these settings.
Go to The round wheel on the back your camera push it to the right. This is where your white Balance Settings are, you have four programmable ones. When you get to the first one. A little coloured screen is going to pop up with a bar like Crosshair in the middle, you are going to press down on the big wheel, and that will put the coloured screen bigger in the viewfinder, push the wheel to the right, I have only gone two or three steps to adjust true colour, which is seeing through the viewfinder, you can move that bar to the right for a tiny bit more cooler picture which will give you bluer skies and more authentic, looking pictures, or you can move that bar to the left of Center for a more warmer picture, play around with that and see what you think, thanks for the good question and have a beautiful day
I limited mine to iso 800 for color. After that , I turn it to Black and white. There is a preset of Several types of B &W to choose from. I love the texture of D Mono even in iso 3200. Your custom setting of photo style was found very useful. I appreciate it and thanks. ❤❤

Hi, I’ve had this camera for a couple of months. Just pulled it out. Thought I would start to figure things out. Wow very intense. I haven’t had a camera in 20 yrs. I’ve gone through this video and adjusted everything you said. But know I have black lines going through the image not on the actual picture. But when viewing. Kind of distracting. What did I miss
You should not have black lines, unless your seeing them on the side of your view screen, unless your talking about the “horizontal level” faint black bars which are for keeping your picture level? You can turn theses off in the “DISP” button on the back of your camera,right side just below the green play button, press the “disp” button until you get what you like on the view screen, hope this helped :) have a beautiful day today.

It was very kind of you to take the time to show users how to do what you are doing in Macro...... only, almost all of what you do is not visible on the screen on your camera so it makes it impossible for the viewer to follow your instructions. When teaching, it is vital that the teacher takes the time to see what is being taught through the eyes of the students. If you review your own video and think of it through the eyes of the student I think you will quickly see that you need to redo this video and make what you are explaining visible to the viewer.

Thanks a lot for this amazing video! I'd love to change my settings but it doesn't give the opportunity to choose the photo style so I can't put it on custom mode. Why does this happens? Any solutions?
Hi , subscriber, please make sure you’re in the (P-mode) go to chapter 1 page one the very top of the screen and you will see something that says photo style. Click on that and go to your little wheel on the lower part of the camera and push it to the right there you’ll find all your photo styles, including the custom if you keep pushing it to the right, it’ll go through all the photo styles there’s where you make your adjustments, just remember to click OK when you’re done, I have a new custom photo style setting, contrast I set at (0) sharpness I set at (+2) noise reduction. I set at (-2) saturation I set at (+2) you will have to make a choice where you want to set these setting , these are only what I use, Everybody is different please have a beautiful day and text me back to see if that works for you :) ps I’m going to update these shortly and an upcoming video :)

My main problem is that if I go to the P-mode it doest allow me to click on photo style; I can do it only if I go to the C-mode, I can set everything as in the video but then it doesn't save the changements and I have to reset everything after every time I turn off the machine or I just change mode. It's really weird

Thank you beautiful subscriber, yes as you get older you realize that weight is a factor, this camera is very light for bridge camera, i’ve owned the Nikon 3500 D and bought lenses for it and it was heavy, and I found this little jewel it’s 4K even though it only takes 12 megapixel pictures , It holds up against a lot of the Merlis cameras even the more expensive ones without ever having to buy lenses or change your lenses PS this camera is weather tight, it takes fabulous pictures even for scenic landscape, now if you’re going through the whole landscape trilogy, I would say no because it only has 12 megapixels but I do use giga pixel in topaz it works really well if you want to crop in on your landscape photos , have a gorgeous and beautiful day today :) PS. am in the middle of moving right now so may be a week or two before I get my next video out just a little FYI

Hi Jeffrey, I'm really struggling with these custom settings. Is the dial on the camera set on C when you use them? Do I set them by FIRST choosing A or P or S, then making the adjustments and saving it as C1, 2 or 3? Once it's programmed into the camera, can I make changes on the spot, to accommodate lighting issues, or is it set in stone? I had your P mode saved, then I think I messed it up somehow by changing it to silent. When I choose silent settings for the shutter and beep, am I also changing the type of shutter I use? Sorry for asking so many questions...you probably need to do a whole video to address them! 🤣
Hi lorraine, sorry you’re having a bad day with the camera, what I’m going to do is we’re going to get you back to the P program mode, When you choose silent mode that is the electronic shutter Setting and I feel that this is not the best setting for this camera mechanical shutter setting is the best for this camera, what I do for the shutter noise is I place a felt sticker over the little Speaker on the left side of the camera, you can buy these little felt stickers at any Walmart Kmart and so forth these were used to be put on the bottom of a chair or a wood cabinet that would slide around on the floor and not cause damage to the floor, that will seriously quieted down enough that only you can hear it but your animals won’t be able to Hear the shutter operating, find my P mode set up video and go back to that setting up the camera, when you have Achieved this text me again and let me know, I will make a small video on the program mode because I find this to be the best overall mode because you can set your aperture and your shutter speed in the program mode, please be patient find that video I told you about and get your camera back to that program mode, and if you can’t figure it out it’s OK I’ll help you, may you have a beautiful and gorgeous day and please ask your angels to help they always help me thanks have a beautiful day :)

Ich habe auch eine GX 80 und sehr gute lichtstarke Objektive, aber da es in Tansania sehr staubig ist, will ich keine Objektive unterwegs wechseln, sondern das Weitwinkel Zoom dort nutzen. Good morning Sabinek, when I first got my camera I was very frustrated with it too and that’s why I am here to help you get great photos out of this camera, this year I bought a GoPro and I’m going to mount it to my chest and take you guys out with me and tell you what settings I’m using to get great photos of this camera with real results, I would recommend that you find my best focus point video so you can set your camera up for the best focus point ,so you may catch your animals i& your insects and your birds really well with this custom focus point I have just now figured out how to translate RU-vid comments on my phone, there is an app in the phone that you can use to translate comments, sorry about taking so long for the reply and may you have a gorgeous and beautiful day, PS if you have any questions, text me back😊

Hi Linda, you must make sure you are in the (P)-Mode , go to chapter 1 page 1, and you’ll see something that says (photo style) there you can pick whatever photo style you want or you could even customize them, natural, vivid, standard, and so forth each photo style has its own custom settings. @@jeffryZ My Photo Style was grayed out no matter what I did and I realized that I had turned on an 'expressive' filter. Once I removed the filter, I was able to get to my photo style and set it up as you've done. Many thanks!

Hi Tom , I had a difficult time understanding the word parasolar , if I’m catching this, right I think you’re talking about the sunshade on the camera ?
