I just sold off my 2016 chevy hd gasser and bought a 2019 Gmc Denali and have about 1000 miles on it now and could not be more pleased!! I can't believe the power that thing has!! The infotainment system is great and all the buttons and knobs on the dash are a little bit bigger so you can do what you gotta do on the fly easier. From a new Denali owner I love it!

Just got a Denali,on 6/29/19 and hand washed it for the first time.Found some pits in the hood.And it was BIRD CRAP,YES BIRD CRAP had eaten into the hard coat & pitted two spots on the hood.7 spots all together but they probably washed off before they could eat through. I wanted the whole truck to be hard coated again but they are just going to do the hood.It ‘s not over yet!! I went out to the dealership before I talked to them and have video of the bird crap showing how it is eating through the newer trucks hard coat. So sad to get a truck like that & the hard coat can not stand up to bird crap. Love the truck!!!

I drove a 2019 f250 super duty that was nice and powerful but it had a vibration in the driveline,but it got worse when I pulled a hd landscape trailer. That thing vibrated almost to the point to where i couldn't pull a trailer anymore. Usability and overall look also 4x4 integration / function was good. I have had 3/4 and 1 ton cummins from the 1990's but none of those ever had vibration issues like the f250 I used especially out of the box

I am a long time subscriber and also a diehard Cummins fan and I know you are too. That is all that I will ever drive. I know the 68RFE transmissions are the best, but I have a 2012 Cummins that had the same tranny and it held up for quite a while with efi live tuning, all the deletes and 100hp injectors. If you add more power to any of these new trucks, you will soon face some sort of transmission problems and/or issues. I know it is expensive but will make a great video!!! The cummins is the way to go!

I have a 08 6.7 cummins with the 68rfe and I don’t find its to bad of a trans. It gets confused sometimes which gear to be in when it’s in cruise and tow haul mode when I’m towing but other then that I have no complaints on it. Truck isn’t tuned and only deleted and piped, i tow heavy with it on a regular basis and still on original trans
@FixItNick
@FixItNick 5 лет назад
Make sure you know your Aisin and don’t just take dealer word on it. Trans Dip stick on the driver side = Aisin, passenger side = 68RFE. I think only 3500 Single and Dually came with Aisin option. I had the 68RFE it worked well and pulled well, I think it’s the guys that pull more often and heavier that start having problems with it. After finding out that there is a Aisin/6.7 option all I want is the Ram now again haha. One thing I wished is for someone to make a conversion kit to put in an Allison To the 6.7 but the work involved is to much. The GM trucks are nice but I hate their dinky front suspensions. The New F250 6.7s are nice also and love that they still running the solid front axle.
@loganhanson4516
@loganhanson4516 5 лет назад
The Powerstrokes with the new Lariat Sport package are killer looking. The new Powerstrokes are great, the AlumniDuty 6.7s got updated this generation with heavier duty connecting rods. I know people knock on the aluminum construct of the trucks but after seeing some pictures of trucks in wrecks and listened to what people have said and it's not as bad as everyone knocks it too be. I don't know about the Cummins and GMs, haven't seen anything on those. I'd like too see some videos on a 6.7 Powerstroke but honestly up to you in the end, no matter what I'll still watch your videos!

@jackpecora3668

hey man, new here but we have owned em all and between the ifs, how expensive it is to tune and when we were looking at one a few weeks ago you can literally go up to the frame and rub a fingernail on the frame coating and it will just come off, its pretty sad and that is very important to you I am sure, but the new Duramax's it would be hard for me to get into one even though they are absolutely gorgeous and all and maybe the best looking. Cummins with good options to you would be a no brainer but if you wanted to change it up we have absolutely loved out 6.7 Pstroke and honestly they are an absolute machine, spec one out exactly how ya want it see a price and add another choice to your list, same for a cummins too, best of luck and I am excited to see whatever new content you have for us!

But if I had the chance to get a new truck I would definitely go with the aisin my dad has a 2018 Laramie longhorn with aisin and a 3.73 rear end it shifts so smooth and pulls like a dream. Not sure you picked out your new truck yet but if you go with Ford, look up the Lariat Ultimate package...big bang for your buck. Bought my 2016 and 2017 with that package, good value. The 207 17 Lariat Ultimate has all the standard Lariat stuff, plus heated rear seats, sunroof, keyless proximity entry, push button start, heated steering wheel, remote tailgate release in cab (and on key fob), torsion bar release tail gate (soft open), LED inside bed lights, LED tailgate light, LED spots in door mirrors...of course the heated/cooled seats etc. If you're still looking, check out package details. Happy to share numbers if you want them, good deals to be had out there, happy hunting.

@clustig95

Aisin vs the 68rfe.... big topic amongst 4th gen owners. Stock for stock, the Aisin hands down. But if you eventually plan on deleting/tuning it and maybe even more on down the road throwing more power at it theres more options for the 68, as apposed to the aisin. the 68 can have the tcm tuned, as far as i know no one offers TCM tuning for the Aisin. The 68 is not a good transmission, but it still may actually be the better option depending on what your future plans are with the truck.

My friend just recently bought a 2014 Ram 3500 with the 6.7/68RFE. We drove 13 hours one way for him to get it. We both work construction and have had a lot of experiences with different trucks. Our opinion was the ram was better at towing/hauling and being a work truck. However the Ford and Chevy have a bunch of great features as well. Been here since Hawaii. Cummins Power I wasn’t comparing, at all. I went with the king ranch simply because the interior was far superior to a Longhorn and the new rams interior in general. I wanted a Cummins as I have only ever owned a Cummins. But I’m in love with my powerstroke. Not to say I’d never buy anything else, I don’t prefer any brand over another. The Ford just happened to suit my wants not to say it will the next guy.

You have to go by what the interior pieces are made of and how it's put together. My brother went with both, a 2500 Denali and a 2500 Chevy, and they have too much hard plastic's in their interiors, and just over a years time, he and his wife's trucks have squeaks and rattles. Where my RAM that's a year older than theirs has 0 squeaks and 0 rattles. And I have put my RAM trough heck and back running dirt and muddy roads.

I have a16 Ram 2500 tuned/deleted with some mild mods. The truck is on its 4th 68RFE. They are absolutely junk. That being said, the AISIN currently has no trans tuning available that will allow fueling while shifting and they are prone to Torque Converter failure. The AISIN survives by defueling while shifting. Also, the Ram 2500 doesnt come with the AISIN, its only available with a 68RFE. Why not be patient and wait for the new 2500/3500 that are supposed to be coming with a new ZF 8 speed transmission?

Just remember with the new duramax trucks. IFS suspension and super expensive to tune and delete them. Also a family member of mine has a 2017 Ram 3500 and has had tons of issues with DPF, brakes, and a few other things seem to keep coming up on it. As well as he just had to put a new rear end in the truck at 140k miles

Talk to Skyler about the Ram transmissions and call up Suncoast and Hardaway. All are in your backyard. You will have to build a transmission if you get into big mods in a 4th Gen Ram, but like always, you gotta pay to play. Since you are looking at new, you'll be a while before big power mods start if you plan to keep your warranty anyway. Also Greg A has been building his 18 Ram Dually and can probably give some great info.

The 15 Powerstroke (6.7) blew up two engines in only 15k miles so we ditched that pickup. Not a big fan of ford they have an easier life than my Cummins and they still have more problems. So i would stick with the newer cummins. Ive have at the NV 5600, 48re, G56, 68rfe and aisin. The aisin is good if you keep it under 500 HP because u cant tune it. I tow 30k lbs all the time with the aisin and G56 transmissions. The 68rfe is good for more HP if you get it built. You wont be disappointed with the new Rams! By the way GM trucks suck for my lifestyle cant handle the abuse like the Ford and Ram can. Just food for thought let me know if you would like to know more.

Woodrow Ward you can’t say vehicles suck just because you never had one. Dodge trucks paired with the Cummins are great but are not the best if it weren’t for the Cummins motor ford would be demolishing dodge. So don’t diss a product like that, my family has had the Cummins power stroke 6.7 and duramax and the only truck we have had problems was with dodge. Needed transition after 65,000 light miles and the wiring is absolute garbage but hey that’s my opinion

We had a duramax for less than a year so dont have many miles on one like ram and ford but My granpda and my neighbors have had duramaxs and i have heard nothing bud bad things from them. They are all ranchers like myself and travel muddy and rough roads. Nothing against the duramax engine I actually like it. Ram has its problems no doubt but i have found it to be the best match for me. So for others it may differ. We have a chevy suburban and it rides nice but just cant handle the abuse.

Have roughly 640,000 miles driving Cummins. 280,000 miles on Powerstroke. Only 10,000 miles on a Duramax. So yea not much experience on the chevy side

I like all the trucks but those 6.7 power strokes make a lot of power when you delete them. They are very dependable too

I made the switch from Cummins to duramax and haven't looked back. In my opinion the duramax is the best diesel truck on the market right now for many reasons. One being the amazing ride that ford and dodge can't compete with

I've had 2 ram 2500. Both deleted with tunes. If you know how control that right foot you wont have a problem with 68rfe. Both of mine have over 200k and they both still shift firm. My cousin has one of the first 68rfe and hey has well over 450k miles. He's a hot shot driver so it gets used. I'm not saying you can they're perfect. I'm saying theyre not as bad as people claim.

I like my L5P. Came over from a 2014 g56 cummins. Just sucks the cost of deleting a L5P.

I bought a brand new 2015 Ram with the diesel and this like the way it shifted so much and I traded it in and bought a 2013 GMC with an Allison. I haul more and Tow heavier than most guys I've ever seen and I've never had a lick of trouble. The fact is all the Diesels are very strong right now so it comes down to Transmissions. The Allison over the iason is much more proven

That's because hp tuners owns the market. In time the prices will come down and there will be more options.

evan hale They are expensive to tune but there is no better engine on the market by far than the L5P And the power and reliability you get is not even comparative and as good as the L5P

Go with a Cummins or duramax. Love the old 7.3 but ford has a bad problem with frame flexing and warping. Check out videos on it comparing the new Cummins dually and ford dually. My friends 97 7.3 has the same issue. Found that out loading pallets and the whole truck cab moved against the bed. Motors are great but nothing else
