They did have some bad updates. The machine is just not ready.

Good points, if a little exaggerated. I want to see the flipper lag fixed for sure. I am not a fan of the ball trails or the scoring showing up on the playfield, even when playing on steam, which I have seen glitches on my older gaming pc with a gtx 970, i7 7700k. I have yet to try the steam versions on my newer gaming pc with 12900k and 3080Ti yet, but that is to be my OTG. I am like you on the better option too, I really looked into it and found a really nice one direct for less than half what the resellers are charging but I do not have the room and I am happy with the ALP infrastructure so I went with Addams Family with SSF Kit factory install and the discounts they offered at preorder, along with tables being 50 percent off, and ssf kit 50 percent I took the gamble, time will tell...

I'm really enjoying the stock tables, lots more than I thought I would. The objectives and rewards making spending some time in each game enjoyable. Looking forward to the ore ordered table. Nice video

Non refundable deposits is a scummy business practice.

I have 2 atgames hd pinballs, scored them for 240$ a piece through sams club. Had them for over a year, love them, play them daily although theyre not perfect, they definitely are worth more than what i got them for. Having said that, i pre-ordered day 1 for 4k. I wanted to support the company and wanted the bigger backbox for otg which is mainly what i play. After being in the 4k pinball group, ive seen probably 30-40 damaged units out of like 150 which is a pretty high number. The way atgames rolled this whole thing out was all done wrong, including telling everyone they get invoices on the 19th only to give them out to 10% of the people. Ordered day 1 myself and they still havent event sent an update on shipping yet and its now fully paid for. Super nervous to recieve this. Even if its comes in mint condition, which i hope it does, although i support the company and like their products, i definatly wouldnt ever pre-order anything from them again. Its been a big mess to watch. Best to wait to just buy these machines once they hit stores. Actually wish i would have never pre-ordered but didnt wanna cancel and lose the 200$. Always have the option to sell it for at least the 1100$ back lol

I was impacted by this and it's left a sour taste in my mouth about dealing with AtGames in the future. I've been going back and forth with them in a support case and they've been unwilling to do what I consider would be the right thing. Shame on me for pre-ordering early on a product with a non-refundable deposit. You'd think I'd know better. As a business owner myself, it's not the way I would treat my customers and feel like they made calculated decisions to lock people into deposits early, before announcing the rest of the lineup. The performance of the marquee title, Addams Family, is another issue. I'm not even playing it on my cabinet, because it's just not fun at the moment. The lag compared to the Magic Pixel cabinets is just awful.

Still lag on the Addams Family, but the table is amazing. Got mine Friday. Played all weekend and the secondary tables are a lot of fun.

Interesting, never heard anyone talk about the deposit difference. The fact they are trickling out skins is not good from a customer standpoint. "Hey, we are going to have 15 skins, but not tell you what or when they will be released. Now please preorder this one." I have the HD and gutted it. Screen quality was not good. While the 4k is improved, i just dont see it being worth double the price (normal cost) than the original. 60h screen is acceptable, but they really should have gone with a higher one, either at 1080p or 2k. But they had to use the 4k buzz to get sales.

I never updated my ALP after I got a few games I really liked. I was so scared to brick it.

Everything seems to be rushed releases. Im pretty good about waiting for bug fixes and lower prices. As it currently sits im still satisfied with my ALP. Once i see more Zen tables available and past the public testing phase I'll be more interested. Besides i really want Twilight Zone theme. It might not be a theme but it might. Who the hell knows. Another thing I'd feel safer buying from, say, a Walmart with insurance just in case Atgames drops the ball on accountability.

Why A1Up went 4K instead of a doable and still great looking 1440p for the chipset they are using is only for their marketing people to answer. 1440p though on a 4K looks worse compared to 1080p.

AtGames has never been a well run company. I will say that they’ve been moving in the right direction. Never had update issues with my HD ALP, but only owned since late 2022. Have had occasional login issues though.

just the not getting any info about shipping either table or sound kit that I paid for weeks ago is starting to gripe me..

On the atgames legends pinball, the 1st one, the lights on monitor for Gladiators do not light up. I contacted them several times, they told me, they don’t know and to wait for an update. Every update it does not fix it. It makes it unplayable, so i got 21 table. This is my last purchase from them.

Wanted to get the Attack from Mars, but figured issues like this would happen. Skipping it for now. For this price, the machine should work great immediately.

The is my first pinball machine of any kind definitely entry level however I think if they can get the Adam’s family to work with no Lag then its a win, very disappointed in there being lag issues for their main table that is embarrassing truly… I will look into OTG since I have a spare gaming laptop but this shouldn’t be the case. They need to fix the flipper lag asap and the loud solenoids also!

Problem is if you want PREMIUM, you’re looking at $6k plus unless you are capable and spend great effort to build your own. The HD ALP for around $600-800 was very fairly price even considering issues. The 4K is very fairly priced at around $1500 for what you are getting. Just need some lag improvement and a couple of other hiccups to work though. I’m not so concerned like “the few” that are going nuts.

If you buy this over priced joke, be prepared to be their Beta tester. This cab not ready just rushed out. AtGames is turning into Arcade 1Up. You got to be a total Mo to buy this at full retail. So many damaged cabs tells me cab is under packaged. Another hot mess no thanks.

I can't figure out why you're complaining so much for. This is normal in the tech world we live in today. Samsung just dropped new s24s and they are buggy imagine that. Same thing with iPhone's they all come with bugs because tech companies rush to get them out and they fix them with updates. What is the big deal? Man people cry about everything nowadays sound like a bunch of betas
