I love having antenna diversity. I use the 3/1 manu setting for antenna 3, in order to receive on a vertical and transmit on a wire. However, I noticed on 160m I could hear a station woth an old SDR Play, but not on the ftdx3000, even know they were sharing rhe same antenna.
Sheesh! Some guys would complain if you hang them with a new rope. It is obvious the narrator does not really know how to operate the rig. Completely unhelpful video. It works very well if you know how to use it. The narrative is not persuasive. TT
I agree with the value you mentioned comparing these radios vs modern equivalents. I have been looking for another radio on the secondary market, and it is almost discouraging to look because of what these people are asking and will not budge on in terms of cost. I should just save a bit more and go with the FT-710 or IC-7300.
