Also thank you for talking about the environmental aspect in the age of consumerism- especially on tiktok. sometimes i get so sad seeing people buying 30+ new books each month and not reading most of them. our poor planet has already suffered enough. we're not on this earth to just take. so buying second hand is great❤
A few years ago I visited France and bought an old book from 1892. I'm a theatre student and this book is a red leather-bound play that I got for just 2 euros. I'm still so so so happy about this book! 😊
@@altheafilmstuff if you're ever gonna visit Strasbourg, there's a good chance you'll find a book this old (or even older!). There were a lot of books on tables all around the streets of Strasbourg and I've seen a comment on this video that supposedly there are book sales around Paris too :) So it's not even a remarkable find, there were sooo many old books for just 2€ :)
Finding unknown books I think I’ll love is one of the great joys of both thrifting books and going to the library… I always find something new but it’s a bit unhealthy for my endless TBR 😂
Some wordsworth covers are ASS. AND I MEAN SHITTY AS FUCK... Do not even LOOK at the Dorian Gray cover by wordsworth. But some covers like that macbeth one are so good... rahhh
