Xisuma if you connect your coal power plant to the power lines you can sell excess energy.

a few tips: you want to always think about what snapping tools you enable and which ones you leave off. its something the games doesn't really tell you but is very important. secondly, the trees on your road are so small because of how planting trees works in this game. they start off small and grow over time so eventually those trees will grow to be massive.

This brought back so many memories, X. The good ol' days of Avalon. Look how far we have come. The game has evolved, your content has evolved... time flies by quick. Looking forward to this

This may be my favorite Cities Skylines 2 vid I've seen yet, because you seem to actually care about wanting to make a good city, and not just meme about for a little bit then never touch the game again. I hope this is a long-lasting series!

Dang, X playing cities again really brings me back. I've been subscribed since the snowfall days so its nice to see it reappear on the main channel again. Gotta say the Cities II announcement a few months ago really caught me off guard, but this seems like a really logical evolution of the first game. Hopefully it doesn't follow the current trend of releasing buggy unfinished games and fixing later... Can't wait for mod support too!

I assume Biffa, City Planner Plays and others will probably do some tutorial series, but I’d really enjoy seeing a series that provided some insight into the meta of how to build a city well. @XisumaVoid, you’ve done a pretty decent job of demonstrating the planning and execution of the plan by limiting how you’ve zoned things. However, when it comes to things like districts, I never felt like I really understood how to leverage using them to the best benefit in Cities:Skylines. Also, really appreciate the shout out to an old Hermitcraft friend Biffa! That’s cool to see!

CS is why i started watching Keralis... so love that you will play this aswell!

I was catching up on some of his traffic fix videos (I don't watch the fix videos often as I'm pretty confident in my traffic management) and a familiar name popped up. Watched 8 years ago and glad to watch again. I sure hope my pc can handle this game, 2 years old now but damn, I put 4800 hours into the first game I need this, will surely upgrade if it doesn’t.

when i did see this yesterday i did think: "another city builder game" but now when i have watch the video, i think it can be fun to play this game.

4 Days until this game comes out. I am really looking forward to it particularly since a lot of the new quality of life features seam to be the stuff that was modded into the first game but was never implimented plus a few things that no one thought to ask for and we really needed like the ability to just turn any interesection into a roundabout. That is going to be very convinient when I try to do something crazy like a hexagon based city.

Ay! City skylines, looking forward to giving this one a go if I feel I'm free when it comes out because although I enjoyed the original game all playthroughs seemed to use mods I could never find and I have a tendency to jump the gun trying to make ideal cities which were somewhat constrained by some older design decisions in terms of pedestrianisation. Luckily from what I had seen before this, and during this I'm pretty sure a lot of the community-made tools are essentially in base game for the second edition, and right off the bat too which is nice. Hoping the game is supported well going forward because it seems really cool tbh I like how the terrain shaping is free now, I haven't really kept up with the dev diaries for this but thats real nice to hear. Saw some truly beautiful cities in CS1 (Don't suppose I can use that abbreviation given Counter Strike 2 is a new game already going by CS2 huh) and it seemed like a lot of that was focused around shaping the terrain to make retaining walls etc.

I am so happy to see you playing cities skylines again.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but attaching to the region power grid is beneficial even if you are making your own power. You can sell excess power when you're producing more than you use and it gives a buffer when you cross the thresh hold to not making enough power so you don't get power outages before you can build more plants.

I've never played or even seen gameplay of it. I'll start following here. I think it will be interesting

Welp. I will definitely be getting this game... just not maybe at full price (I'm a bit broke right now...). I was hesitant on getting this one, as I struggled with the first (I also suck at city-building so that doesn't help. lol)... But a lot of the issues that I had with the first game have been addressed with this one (you even went through a lot of that stuff in this video!), which tells me that the early-game waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better - which will help with me learning how to build better. XD I'm still broke tho'. XD

i was very excited for this game, but i can’t quite play it for a while - i’m abroad for a year without a sufficiently powerful computer. this will suffice in the meantime. i miss ur livestreamed cities days

Xisma for roads it's better to connect only one off branch to a long road rather then two because it lessens the chance of accidents

If what I've read online is correct, pedestrian streets are currently bugged, and cars will continue to drive on them until thats fixed, unfortunately.
