This series has been a staple of the channel since December 2020; however, we've hit the game limits and must bid Verde Beach a fond farewell. In this video, we'll tour the city, and I'll provide my thoughts about the build along the way. It's the end of an era, but it was a great time while it lasted!

That would be pretty cool, I'm all for a New Verde Beach. Doesn't even have to follow the plans of Verde Beach former, just has to be a completely vanilla build imo.

Wait, this is actually a nice idea. We can imagine that old VB was completely destroyed or become unlivable due to some disaster, so they moved to a new location and re-started as a new city. With an initially master planned core that went on to grow out in different ways around it

VB shall be missed. On a bright note shall hope that C:S 2 shall not have similar limitations like VB had to contend, so that the next city that gets built on this channel doesn't have to end before it is built up to the point where there is no more ideas left.

Ngl Phil, this was probably my favorite episode of Verde Beach. I appreciated the unscripted off the top commentary and review of what’s been one of the best vanilla series’ in all of CS1. I really look forward to some of the storylines that will continue into CS2 as well as your build style. And I agree with the point you made about how the downtown developed. I too am a lot like you in that I like my cities to grow naturally, thus I don’t mind redeveloping things. I thought the downtown was a little rushed and I look forward to you correcting that in CS2….especially now that you can rezone things and the current buildings will stay in place until there’s need for redevelopment. I like that realistic feature in the game. All in all thanks for your dedication and your creativity. I look forward to seeing what I learn from you down the road. Lastly, I know you’re a basketball fan…not sure if you’re a Bucks fan since you live in Wisconsin. I’m a Kings fan but I do like Giannis and Middleton. What do you think of the Lillard addition?

I've watched this series from the beginning, and I must admit, it's been a joy! It's sometimes hard to believe where this city came from, the stories and lore that have been built, and the fact that it makes so much sense! From seeing the old freeway going down to downtown being replaced multiple times until it was little more than a glorified street, the way the lumber, farm and oil facilities have been redeveloped over the years, and just the general growth. It's been a wonderful journey! Thank you for allowing us to join you on that journey.

Goodbye Verde Beach, this has been one of the best Cities Skylines series ever, it has been the highlight of my day, and I'm going to miss it. However I'm exited to see what you build in Cities Skylines II.

Thanks for building Verde Beach! I stumbled upon your videos back in 2020 and started following ever since. Verde was the one that got me into Cities Skylines and can't wait to give 2 a try. Hope to see Verde somehow make its way over to CS2.

Hey Phil, algorithm introduced me to Verde Beach when you posted your 3rd episode and I was hooked. I was down and out due to COVID. Nothing was going right, my visa didn't come through for my study program in Design at my dream college, I was unemployed and life was looking very down. I just want to thank you for helping me out through those time and helping me get back to normalcy. My partner says she used to fall asleep to your videos as they were so soothing while I watched them. It was the ultimate therapy. I got Cities Skyline back in 2015, and I had been playing it, but this is honestly one series where I got better alongside you. I am so excited for CS2 and what you do over there. Here is to saying bye to a very familiar part of my life for the past 3 years. Best of luck, Mayor.

I've been playing CS1 since 2016 and VB is what helped me reinvigorate the game for me. I'm a vanilla player and this series opened my eyes into what is possible with this game and how you can truely build a beautiful and realistic city. Thank you, CPP for the hours of enjoyment and letting your passion for City Planning shine through this series.

What a fantastic farewell to a fantastic series! I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next nonetheless. I truly enjoyed the recap of this build, and thought to myself how cool it would be to see a retrospection of the other series that make this channel so great. Even if they are not finished quite yet, it's enjoyable to look back and see the bigger picture...

I know you are done building, but I honestly loved this format so much. Sometimes, just doing a deep dive into the city is the best way to experience it and honor it. The way you always told a story with your builds of this city sets you apart. I would LOVE to see you do a series of "documentaries" from the perspective of a historian of Verde Beach talking about the eras, trends, developments, demographic and economic shifts of the city, etc. I think it could be fun and a way for you to showcase the city more, since we all love it so much!

I stumbled upon this channel after binging Biffa fixes and my first episode was #84, burying the the rail lines at central station. Seeing the meticulous work done to follow pre-existing development and truly protect and preserve it was very different from any other approaches I had seen. I decided to go all the way back to the beginning because I really wanted to know how it all came to be. And I caught just in time for the series end! What a great journey! In the most flattering possible way, this was my favorite thing to watch right before bed. The calmness and sense of appreciation of things Phil brings into the build really cements the quality of enjoyment. Here’s to all the great things to come!!

This was the series that brought me to your channel. I joined this journey at about episode 10 and have loved and enjoyed all the content. I personally struggle with creative thinking most times and watching this series has been such an eye opener. Its been amazing to watch Verde Beach blossom into the amazing area it is. Can't wait to see what content comes from CS2.

This has been by far your best build and my favorite of all CS builds. I watched every single episode and for multiple years, Tuesday has been my favorite day of the week because of it. I don't even play CS but I've been very invested in VB. Thanks so much for the ride and looking forward to another simplistic realistic and love inspired build in CS2. Love you CPP!

Man, I've watched so much Verde Beach over time. Here's a confession though - I love watching your channel when I'm feeling sick. Calm voice, calm game, great content that is low stress - you can snooze through an hour or two of it and the progress is measured enough that you don't feel like you missed out on a ton. Thanks a ton for this channel and for keeping this kind of content coming.

This series taught me - really taught me - how to play Cities. It's still surreal to be on the other side, having finally caught up, but I know at least some of this will help me in the sequel. Long live!

Phil, thanks for delivering such a great build, that felt like a real place I loved visiting. Verde Beach has been like a TV Show. One of my most favorite shows ever. With "Cats Walking" being the theme song. 😂 Much love to you CPP, to PhiLLip, Maggie, and the VBFD 🚒 🎉

As someone who's been watching this series since the beginning it's sad to see it end. It's been a real joy watching you build the city (in vanilla no less!), and seeing you grow as a building and as a storyteller. Thank you for adding depth to this game with your knowledge, characters, and plot twists. Very much looking forward to your builds in CS2!

I remember starting this series as a way to help my daughter fall asleep for bedtime or nap time. I used your videos for the first 2.5 years of her life. Now here I am, the day after my 2nd daughter was born, helping her fall asleep watching the end of Verde Beach. Poetry.
