Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your comments on my Bookube Newbie Tag video. I wasn't expecting such a warm welcome.
I'm still trying to figure out how this works. I had to record this video twice. Then I thought it would be way too long. It finally ended up being shorter than I expected. At any rate, I hope you still enjoy it.
I wish you a happy new year and hope 2023 brings you lots of money and time to buy and read books.

Ohh interesting Lestat is better than the first. I liked the first one quite a bit! I really want to get to My Cousin Rachel this year too. I only ever hear good things. The Goldfinch is quite different but still fantastic. Hope you enjoy it~

Interview is definitely neater than The Vampire Lestat, but I liked TVL more because Lestat is great. I can't wait to read the Goldfinch, but because it is such a long book, I'm staying away from it until the summer.

I love 'Carmilla'! I thought...that it featured a couple of REALLY peculiarly modernist touches that most books of its time simply don't possess...

Spot on with My Cousin Rachel, that is such an excellent book. I’m always surprised that Jamaica Inn pops up more frequently. Rebecca and The Secret History are superb, and I’ll be adding It Would Be Night in Caracas to my list from the library. Thanks for sharing, Eva! Cheers, Jack

I love Jamaican Inn so much, but I think it's not at the level of My Cousin Rachel. Take care, Jack!

I’ve been drawn towards vampire books recently as well so I understand lol. Hoping to read Interview With the Vampire soon and start the series :)

This was such a good list and I love how you ranked them from 10-1. I have not read any of these books, but I would definitely be inclined to do so. Gothic works definitely dominated this list, but the one I am most inclined to look into and learn more about is It Would Be Night in Caracas. I love learning about other countries and I have heard about the brutal living conditions in Venezuela, so something of this nature would be worth exploring and perhaps broadening my understanding of that country. I would like to read Sheridan Le Fanu and Daphne du Maurier, though, and I really need to read Anne Rice. I recently bought Mexican Gothic after hearing a lot about it, much of which being good. I really enjoyed how you spoke of these, and I felt very fulfilled and have a clearer understanding of each of these. Thank you for sharing! -Josh

`Awesome list! I love the whole vampire series by Anne Rice and agree that Lestat is indeed a vulnerable, albeit immortal character. I look forward to further dark, gothic, horror content from your channel.

Thank you, Cliff! I'm currently working on a gothic series. I'll post the first video next week 🤫. Should I read the 3rd book of the Vampire Chronicles? Is it good?

Rebecca is actually a copy from a Brazilian book called A Sucessora, very sad how latinos are robbed bc they don’t write in English

I'm aware of this scandal. Unfortunately, such cases are very common in the library world😒
