Great list Thomas! You’ve put Lutens and Fragonard on my radar… I have a sample of the Naomi Goodsir and it I love it! It reminds me of my nana’s 70’s green laminate kitchen growing up. It has a strong plastic note that I pickup along with the tuberose and other notes. It really takes me back yet it’s still quite wearable. I am also about to finally pickup Carnal Flower soon. I’m having a huge tuberose moment lately. I hope you can try Tama N Tuberose (TNT) by PK Perfumes. It’s another incredible tuberose soliflor. It’s so so so good please try it if you can! 🤗🧡
I love Do Son very much, it has a great sillage! Another great white floral is Spring Flower by Creed in a pretty pink bottle, which I own since my youth now, I buy it again and again when it's empty and hope, they will never discontinue it.
THIS is why I love you!! I have been all over Fragrantica this week posting threads, reading threads, reviews, browsing online shops, etc... For the best niche white florals. A note as easily done wrong and delicate as white florals should really be handled with care and niche just do them the best. You delivered JUST in time! Thank you.
Love your list, I'm a white floral/tuberose lover as well. You are so good at talking about how they smell and wondering if you've ever done a video on notes. I'd like to know more about indoles and how they are used in perfumery, what they add, etc.... Thank you so much!
Hello!!!!!!!! Thanks so much. Ya know, I thought about it once and it made my head explode haha. I would consider it for sure. It would be fun to maybe do a note and then talk about some fragrance that feature that note prominently. hmmm food for thought. I just get overwhelmed. haha.
Nice video as always!... Maybe someday the top 10 beachy scents?! :) I don't know much about perfume but I'm learning quite a lot here! Sorry ...i guess I just need some kind of confirmation if sun di gioia it's not that bad, I can't decide if I like it or not😅
Great reviews! Do you have the edp or edt of Do Son? I've tried the edt & am wondering if the edp is better . Flor Y Canto sounds nice , must investigate !
Thank you! I have the EDP of Do Son. I would like to smell the EDT actually, I work right next to Diptyque, I'm gonna pop in haha. Oh yes Flor Y Canto is another great Tuberose. :)
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews hahaha that is so true but I'm not mad! You can buy nice clothes and nice shoes but if you don't pull it together with a great scent then no point right!? I love your channel you have me smelling gorgeous an ocean and a continent away! Much love much admiration from California! 💞
The ultimate aldehydic white floral which I can confidently recommend-- even as dare I say it, a blind buy-- is Frederic Malle's 'Superstitious'. If you love the idea of smelling like the most expensive, artisanal and obscure jasmine soap available to womankind then make a point of seeking this one out and trying it. Due to the sparkly, fizzy, high-blue-sky aldehydes in the long opening, it positively leaps off you and gives unsuspecting passers-by a 'springtime for grown ups' experience; it will seep through every face mask in a 2 metre radius too, so if you've had problems with florals and sillage then this could be another reason to try it out on yourself. Its vibe is vintage fashion happiness and is unapologetically feminine. If you can handle the linear statement inherent in Chanel's Gardenia or Dior's Diorissimo and if the above is the effect you love and are after for yourself then I HIGHLY recommend 'Superstitious'. Me? I wear darker, more unisex scents. Take a moment to imagine what my face looked like when I first sprayed this on, unaware that it was an aldehydic white floral..ahahaha :D
Being a tuberose fan I can’t believe you’ve never mentioned Moon Bloom by Hiram Green! Though in fact it has popped into one of your videos and you wondered why you had ‘moon bloom’ coming to your mind! Have you ever smelled it? It’s my most beloved tuberose, beautifully complex and green/tropical with also ylang and jasmine. I think you’d love it.
Hello! I've seen Puredistance as a brand mentioned many times before and they seem to be so cool!! I just had a quick look at my sample list and realized I have a 5ml of Seville a L'aube. oooh...I'm gonna dig that out tomorrow! :)
I am a Tuberose addict and have several scents dominant tuberose or gardenia. But I am looking for something with some sandlewood , I think. That note that smells a bit like a freshly sharpened pencil . Sounds like cedar, but I don’t think it is. Any thing you think might fill my need?
Hello! Cedar is the wood that smells like pencil shavings. It's also used in 90% of fragrances hehe. Paired with tuberose? hmmmmm. I none really spring to mind.....argh sorry.
Not a fan of tuberose carnal flower is ok I have it what are your thoughts on Love Tuberose by Amouage? Opus 9 sounds like my type of perfume dirty & skanky lol love your dirty description
+Gina Rose the amouage tuberose will be my next review! It’s not the greatest. It’s a creamy gourmand white floral. It’s part of the line that’s meant to be more mass appealing. I think it’s cool but they should drop the price haha
@@ouch110 yes I have smelt the Tuberose it's a little on the sweet side but longevity is lacking you should smell Mimosa Love that's the best one from the secret garden collection I have a bottle of blossom love which wears elegantly and is understated which I love but in general not a huge fan of amouage especially given the price point and the lack of longevity
Hello! I did try it recently yes. Such a GORGEOUS bottle wow. I wasn't taken too much by the fragrance but I didn't try it on my skin which ya know, is the cardinal sin haha. I need to give it another go.
If I were allowed to take only one perfume to a deserted island for the rest of my life, it would be A La Nuit. If I could take two, I would take Do Son as well (no not Carnal Flower, sorry; it's a big green meh). Jasmine et Cigarette is up there too. One good jasmine and one good tuberose is all one needs in this crazy, overwhelming world of too too many perfumes!
Damn you...I saved this to watch after work. Settled in with tea, and first mention - Bakelite. Had to pause and go find my sample to dab on. By the end of the video, I NEED a bottle. So, that happened.
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews I wore it as my scent of the day last week, still undecided -leaning toward FBW. I love it after it has been on my skin for a a few moments, addictive. I don't love the smell of it transferred to my clothing; like two different fragrances. It's the oddest, and most fascinating thing. lol
