I"m pretty sure that Path IntelliSense and VSCode Icons are redundant at this point since VSCode is already doing both path suggestion and file icon display for me.

Polacode didn't work for me at all (just a black screen and a non-functioning button) on the latest vscode under windows10. There is a fixed forked version that did work, but the version you advice hasn't been updated in 2 years so probably isn't advisable anymore. Codesnap works too and was advised (in the issues) as an alternative (last update 4 months ago, so more recent).

You don't need any snippet extension when you have intelephense installed. Just open the whole WordPress installation folder in VSCode.
