What are the foundations for constructing a successful painting outdoors on site?
From what I've learned, its
Design/Composition, Big Simple Shapes, and Values
Not too dissimilar from starting a painting indoors either.
But with plein air, its so easy to get caught up in the moment, to want to just start painting. However, we can't skip these very important steps, otherwise we may run into trouble, and spend more hours later on, trying to "fix" the painting.
Materials include:
8x10" Ampersand Claybord
Windsor and Newton Titanium White
Gamblin Yellow Ocher
Utrecht Cadmium Free Lemon Yellow
Utrecht Cadmium Free Red Medium
Utrecht Cadmium Free Orange
Gamblin Ultramarine Blue
Gamblin Cobalt Blue
No idea brands of brushes lol, but they are flats 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12.
