@@RedBranchBushcraft I do prefer the Adirondack if it’s windy or rainy but it can be a little bit of a pain to setup at times. I don’t like the setups that use part of the tarp as a ground sheet. To me that’s just going to add holes in the tarp 💧💧
You raise a good point actually....I think one of the reasons people even have camping anxiety is that they enclose themselves too much inside tents...That separation just causes imaginations to run wild.
Brilliant. Personally I cant wait to try the Adirondack shelter. Im mostly camping in Scotland, so I have to assume it will be raining and there will be crosswind. Having everything more enclosed and protected from rain, wind and splash from the ground is excellent. (... and it offers me more protection whilst Im trying to figure out why my therm-a-rest is leaking!) FYI I ended up getting the 3x5 DD tarp instead of a 3x3. A word of warning. The 3x5 DD is probably the best tarp in the world, but its heavier, and you also need to really know your tarp set ups. Everything is easier and more intuitive when you are dealing with a square tarp, and most videos are showing 3x3 set ups. Not saying there is a "right answer" here, just saying that if I could chose again, I would have got a 3x3 and learned that before moving on to a 3x5. Great work as always mate
I learn so much from your videos, I am so glad I found your channel! Love tarp camping, and using different methods to use my tarp in! You have a awesome place to practice in! Love the yurt btw! Is that your house?
