I've said it before, but your casual style is right up my street. I love those Dear Frances Doc-style boots. I always find Docs themselves are too heavy and stiff, but those are perfect and look so comfortable.
I am seriously considering buying metallic silver or gold colored chelsea boots 😍 I am a huge Depeche Mode fan and I just fell in love with Dave's boots during their Spirit tour. Animal prints are also an option, I love adding a bit of glam to a monochromatic look.
A close second to my Blazer collection is my Boot collection. I’m afraid I would have no style without either. Am in LOVE with your Anine Bing tall kit boots! I will now spend an inordinate amount of time searching for a preloved pair 😊 great examples you showed us. TTFN
Makes me excited for the colder weather to see (some of) your gorgeous boot collection! Once I start wearing boots I'm in them for the next six months and shoes don't get to see the light of day. My ambition is to find a pair pre-loved otk midland or lowland suede boots: I can't manage the height of yours!
If anyone has skinny legs and wants a good fitting, affordable over the knee boot, Franco Sarto is great. I got them from Macy's a couple of years ago (though you can obviously get them from the actual website or even Amazon or somewhere else). They fit slim calves pretty good.
Thankyou Emma gorgeous boots! My favourite type of shoe :) Hope you have the best time in Canada in the Rockies, we were there this time last year and it was amazing. Have fun xx
I've been on a Criminal Minds kick and am way behind on RU-vid but I've been so excited for this video! I'm a boot girl and my favorite style is Chelsea Boots, 5 of my 9 pairs are Chelsea Boots (two of which I would class as statement boots). Also love lace up/combat boots and three of mine fit into that category (can you tell I'm an 'if you like it buy it in every color' type of gal?). I am nursing my fourth fractured + sprained ankle and sold all my boots with a heel over 2 inches because I just can't do it anymore (and honestly haven't been able since the third fracture) + some of the ones I sold were not my proper size and were pinching my toes too much, It's hard out here for a size EU 41.5/42 (or US 10.5/11). My favorite boot brands are Thursday Boot Company, Freebird by Steven, Frye, Modern Vice, Inch2, and Hudson London/H by Hudson. I'm lusting hardcore for a few pairs from The Office of Angela Scott but they're about double what my max price is for a pair of good boots so I'm hoping that maybe they'll have an insane Black Friday sale and I'll be able to pick up a pair. I really love your black lace-up Dear Frances boots but those are also a bit out of my price range so I'm always keeping an eye on Dear Frances as well. My cap for a good pair of leather boots is about $250 which is what I paid for my Inch2 boots on sale and to spend that much they have to be the type of boots/style that I'll love forever (which is what I generally try to do anyways but fail miserably with sizing sometimes). I saw in a comment someone mention Vagabond shoes which I've owned and think they're beautiful but they don't make above a size 41 which kills me (and is why I had to sell the two pairs I had from the brand). I used to keep buying 41s and would get little blisters on my toes and thought it was because of the shape of my foot, not a sizing issue which it definitely was and I finally realized that it was a size problem after seeing my foot doctor last year. OMG this has turned into such a long comment, hope you're having a good time in Canada so far if you somehow manage to read all this!
Great video Emma. Quite informative. It's quite helpful that you do cut aways with how you style the different style of boots. Thank you. Have a great trip to Canada, hopefully your Marks & Sparks boots will keep your feet warm & toasty.
Love these boots....I’m the same slim legs and bigger feet. I’m normally a 7 and sometimes find them a bit tight, didn’t think to size up but lots of stores don’t seem to stock 8’s xx
I so love knee high and thigh high boots but unfortunately it’s hard for me because I’m petite and have bigger calves so most tall boots don’t fit me. I have found this to be an issue for other people as well. If only I knew how to slim down my calves lol 🤔 thanks Emma for sharing this video.
Love your style so so much!! I'm trying to copy a few outfits and i think that i need to invest in wool blazers this year. I love one from H&M, but i'll wait for a while because the weather is still warm here in Greece !! Also i laugh so much with your face reactions in Instagram stories!! Well done beautiful!!! Can't wait for more haul videos!!
It just Makes want to extend my collection now! :D And yes, it is in no means a necessity... It's just that the girl needs some options! Spot on video and content as always. Have a fab time in Canada.
Great collection of boots, Emma! 🥰👌🏻 I have the same pair of over the knee Stuart Weitzman boots but in a light color, more of a light beige but I have a hard time styling them, for some reason. 🤔 They’re gorgeous though!
Another great video. Don’t we all love boots?Just purchased a pair of Steve Madden lace up lug sole (doc marten dupe) type boots. Great price, lightweight, and supple leather so no breaking in.
Great job! Thrilled to hear you will be visiting my neck of thee woods! Banff and Lake Louise etc. are very beautiful! FYI, it has already snowed so pack with that in mind!
I got a wonderful boot from Prada with a thick sole and varnish. Loved it, just do not know where I will use here in Brazil, it is only hot or raining !! lol I love your collection. I will save my gift to use when I go to Italy in November.
Hello Emma, thanks a lot for this video! I was SO NOT sure how to wear ankle high boots with jeans. I am running to the store tomorrow 😂 Love your channel as you are such a fun guuurl and so down to earth ..... love that!❤️
Wow, you smart, legs for days ,brave one! You look amazing in everything and I’m so proud of you for showing yourself in a mini. Why you may ask, because I’m not that brave😩 you rock those boots🇨🇦🇨🇦
Hi Emma, thanks for another great video. I love the park boots. I have quite a high instep so wondering if these would fit me ok 🤔 Hopefully you can manage to do a knitwear/jumper video soon 😊
This is a good video. Emma, I like the boots. I find these boots can be worn with tailored slacks. I like to have boots that are comfortable made of good soft leather.
Yay I'm so excited for autumn dressing. Unfortunately my Stuart Weitzman boots don't stay up... I don't know if maybe I am tying them too tight or wrong...
Mine too 😢 I took them back and settled on a pair from Carvella instead for £200. I have size 7 feet but super skinny long legs so my boots bag at the ankles and fall down from thigh. Forever pulling them up 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏾♀️
Hi Emma. I always look forward to your videos and I'm a big fan of your style and approach to shopping. I love the check boxy trucker from Warehouse, what size do you have it in? The oversized look is really cool! Thank you
Great collection, your Saint Laurent ones are just 🤩 This year I’m looking for a pair of the walking/hiking style (I spotted the M&S ones the other day in their email) Pull and Bear have some nice similar suede ones in a darker colour way. I do also fancy a snake 🐍 print pair. The rest I’ve got mostly covered apart from the over the knee ones, don’t think I’d suit them but they look great on everyone else 👍🏻
Hi Emma The M&S zip walking boots are those true to colour in your video as their website shows them in more of a yellow based brown. If they are in your video colour they match my new Massimo Dutti down winter jacket perfectly!!!
I would say they are fairly true to colour in the cutaways of the video - they appear a bit lighter when I am holding them because of the light coming through the window. hope that helps 👍🏼
Dear Emma, I was hoping you would also talk about your spirit boots. which ones do you have and are you still happy with them? I’m considering buying a pair of boots from them right now.. would be great if you could answer, thank you!!
Yes I still my spirit boots - mine are the plain black leather. Yes I really like them, nice and comfy and not too high. They didn't make the video just because I was trying to keep an eye on how long it was 👍🏼
Sooo many nice boots, I'm so jealous! Anyone got any tips to finding shoes when you have a wider foot? The "wide fit" shoes are either poor quality, not what I want at all, or they look super wide. Haven't tried any on, but I'm usually able to put on regular boots, but they're always way too uncomfortable to wear.
I love ASOS Wide Fit Chelsea boots! They even have pointed toe options that are still comfortable. I have 3 pairs in different colors/toe shapes. I've also loosened some leather boots up by wearing them with thick socks and pointing a hair dryer at them for short intervals, but YMMV!
Statement boot was my fave but I love how you have a variety in your wardrobe!I’ve two boots my ankle and over knee.Never seen you wear over the knee do you not like them? 😊
I only tend to wear them in autumn/winter and it would depend on what Im doing and wearing, if that makes sense. 👍🏼 Although I am a sucker for opting for ankle boots for ease 🙈😂
hi Emma! how do you care for your dear frances boots? do you need to spray them with a protectant before you wear them or get them resoled since the sole is leather?
I do spray all mine with protector (just to be safe) but I dont resole them until I start to see them wear. 👍🏼 But that's just personal preference, I know some people prefer to get their shoes resoled straight away.
I don't find I have that problem and mine tend to stay up. If Im walking there is a little movement, but I think that will always happen but I find the tie seems to do its job. Sorry I can't offer much help ❤️
@@EmmaHill thanks! maybe I'm being too particular, they just sag a bit above the knee but not to worry I'm still obsessed with them and it doesn't stop me from wearing them!
Hi Emma, do you wear your suede boots in the rain? I live in seattle where we have very similar climate and I'm afraid to get suede boots because I don't think I could ever actually wear them. Do you have tips on how to protect them from water etc. Thanks for your help!
I use a suede protector spray on mine but I wouldn't wear them deliberately in the rain. However they should be ok if I was out and it started raining because of the protector spray, but I prefer to not risk it 👍🏼
