You have introduced me to a new world that I never even knew existed. I have very casually collected a few Bibles over the years (nothing premium), but this is on a new level! Watch out Tim, I'm coming. Awesome video! Thanks!
thanks for showing these premium bibles. I have never been able to get a premium bible but I love seeing them. I currently use the nkjv center column reference bible leathersoft. I love God's Word and thanks for doing the same
I don’t know if you carry different brands of knives, but I think Allan bibles are like Benchmade knives. They are so nice and other Bible publishers try to do what they do, but Allan always seems to be on top of the game.
Good review, although I’d like to see you close up more on the leather, especially the deep grain of the long Primer versus the pebbly quality of the Nas reader. I love those Bibles. The Ludlow one felt a bit plastic to me.
I’d love to grab an Allan but I’m not a fan of centre-column reference style. Wish they still did the ESV SCR.. Love that text block. Love your videos. Bought my first Schuyler this year and love it. Keep it up 👍🏻 Blessings from London 🙂
Awesome post, Tim, as always! Thanks to your previous video, where you skillfully explained the differences in the Allan Longprimers, I was able to make an informed decision on the 63 Sovereign. A very small window of opportunity opened up about 5 weeks ago, as limited copies became available through Bibles Direct in the UK. By the grace of God I now have one. And I so enjoy reading it every morning. Sometimes I even find myself just staring at it. Thanks again, Tim. And may God richly bless all that you do for His glory.
I've wanted an Allen Bible for a few years now, but never pulled the trigger because I already own a nice Schuyler. Well, I finally did it. As of this writing I am still waiting for it to arrive, though. I purchased the NAS95 Reader. I got the red goatskin with blue interior liner w/ blue under silver art guilding. Oh, boy!
Wow, those are so beautiful. I would love to feel the different leathers they use. I love, love that petrol blue color, I wish they would put that on an ESV with the blue-under-silver page edges and blue bookmarks - I just love that look. I’ve never had a premium Bible before, but I am interested in an Allan Bible and I’m hoping they’ll make just what I want at some point. Do they come out with new color combinations regularly?
I recently received a KJV Longprimer from Allan from Bibles Direct. I have to say, I was disappointed in the quality. The gilt-edging is flawed, looks almost like water damage. Charfleet did the binding. Problem is; how do you return it back to England? As for me, with two Schuyler’s now, I’m a Schuyler fan, along with Evangelical Bibles.
I’m really drooling, Tim! Beautiful, beautiful. 😊💕. I’ve got some wonderful Allan Bibles, including a 53 Longprimer. The 2 I would love though would be the petrol blue NASB and the NRSV with speckled edges. Many thanks. 🤗🤗
If I ever do buy an Allan, it will be an ESV NC1 with the speckled page edges. The Longprimers look great, I really like the classic printing press look of the typeface, but I just don't have a need for a KJV. The Allan NASB Readers look great too. That petrol blue is a very nice option.
my first Allan was the 62 longprimer in purple meriva calfskin - love the different color purple. I have the NRSV but the font is kinda small for me though when I stick with it my eyes adjust - but it's n ot one I just randomly grab to enjoy reading because of that
