Yep, ALL experts do agree that no.1 is by far and away good sleep!!! Personally, I can't help myself either with light easy runs after, and like you dunno either if it's a good or bad thing 'cause I've heard lots of conflicting things, however I'm a BIG believer in yoga and walking recovery, definitely barefoot yoga with lots of balancing exercises and as much barefoot walking as possible. And after hearing from Brodie Sharpe's Run Smarter podcast about the science of recovery I tried one thing and was just blown away at the improvement in my recovery... a few hours after my first trail ultra, I got into a cold swimming pool and stood in front of the water jets on my legs ... WOW!!! THAT worked amazingly well!!
