This video would be so so helpful for anyone moving in to sakstatoon, I like the way you enlightened us on the shops, parks, schools we can find in the neighbourhood it makes us to know what to expect if we decide to actually move in there ..
I moved from Willowgrove about a month ago for personal reasons but I can definitely attest that it is one of the best neighbourhoods in Saskatoon. The first thing you would notice is the layout. It is really well planned. I was never scared to take walks at night cuz it is very safe and there are so many parks and quite a number of playgrounds. Not noisy at all. The bus stop was a minute away from my house. The only problem was the bus intervals, especially on the weekends. It will surprise you how affordable some of the rooms are. People always wondered how I was able to live there despite being a student. Stonebridge is another very beautiful place! personally, I think Stonebridge is the Beverly Hills of Saskatoon. There is this breathtaking view from one of the streets, I can never get over it!
I live on the north end of the city, Lawson Heights, and the layout of the area is a master piece. Sweetly well laid out, with all the amenities within range and reach.
Marina for Information Minister. Thank you for this video. You are always on point. Initially I was thinking of Winnipeg because of Wolo, but since I started watching you last year, my mind has shifted to Saskatoon. Infact, Marina for Marketing Executive. Please let's try to watch the ads. I try to watch. It's the least I can do considering all you do.
Here to say a big thank you for your detailed videos. I learnt about your channel from Twitter as l was trying to find out more about Saskatchewan and l must admit your videos have been informative and a great factor to me deciding to settle in the province after family in Canada kept telling me l should only focus on settling in Toronto or Vancouver yet l really can’t handle big cities. God continue blessing you and giving you the grace to share more.
Very helpful and detailed video! I'm so happy to have come across your channel (you have a new subscriber ;)). My family and I will be moving to Saskatoon this year and the more I learn about this wonderful city, the more excited I get. It sounds like the perfect place to raise my little girl.
My wife and I both have grown up here in Saskatoon love this City! The city has really grown alot of new areas! We live in Broadway area! Really great area! Montgomery area is absolutely beautiful the yard are huge and it's like it's own little escape !
Very detailed and helpful as usual, even though I cannot use the specific information but all the things you have mentioned like school for the kids, nearness to town, big shopping malls, parks, connection to central London for work were all the things we considered as well before we bought our place.
Very apt and detailed as always! I live close to Willowgrove/Evergreen and I agree, beautiful! Brighton is very beautiful and rapidly developing, and with new amenities and its close to Costco at Market Dr. I would consider this neighbourhood if buying a house. Stonebridge!!! This is my bestest neighbourhood in Saskatoon. What's not to love about Stonebridge? I promised myself that I will own a home in Stonebridge when I grow up, so help me God! Thank you Marina. Your channel is the sauce. Many blessings.
Hi Marina, great job and thanks for your video. Could you make a video in the near future that shows comparison between Saskatoon and Regina; covering transportation, accomodation, job opportunities, etc?
When I lived there Eastview/Nutana Park were great areas--virtually next door to Stonebridge with slightly cheaper rents but only about an average 10-15 minute bike ride away from the Walmart area, and about 5-8 to the Sobeys. Preston Dental is a great dentist --at least when we lived there. Yip Hong's had the best Chinese --very fresh and crunchy veggies--Market Mall gained a gym and Giant Tiger after we left. 2 High Schools one Catholic (Holy Cross) one public (Walter Murray) close to each other and 3 elementary/middle schools also quite close to each other in that area--A catholic (Pope John Paul), public (Prince Phillip) and French Immersion (Ecole Alvin Buckwald). That area is also close to the commercial 8th Street strip which is another 10-15 minute bike ride north and the George Ward outdoor pool is also close as is the school there. There is so much in that area that it was perfect for us and for anyone with special needs children there is a school in Eastview called John Dolan. The area is not as new as those you listed but that does not mean there is no beauty there--Preston Avenue has so many mature trees on it, and easy access to Circle Drive makes the city super accessible. I definitely miss Saskatoon and my old neighbourhood there. Saskatoon has so much going for it and when we had to move it was hard on all of us.
Awww, I can literally touch the emotion in this comment. Saskatoon has many beautiful neighbourhoods and I will need so many videos to cover them all. All the best in your new city.
Happy Sunday bae, well explained n detailed analysis. God bless u more. au is d family? it's very great for we that are planning to migrate to Canada. Tnx love.
Sis ooo hearing you say the amount to rent apartment and basement I’m like are you sure we will not come there and buy house omg .. basement in Ontario is from 1500 to 1700 .. 2 rooms apartment is 2500 to 2800 here .. Ontario is really expensive ooo ..

Grew up here in Ireland and really want to move to Canada to settle and live my life, this video was very informative and appreciated🤗 gained a new subscriber ☺️
When the Feyi mac interview popped up on my feed was wondering why, but after watching that I had to subscribe to your channel, I'm really liking your content and personality displayed. I'm an Afro Caribbean beauty therapist wanting/considering moving to Canada, any info on that aspect of the job market in your city or one's you've mentioned?
Am so pained that I can't really use the info I just got from this video but I'll watch out for anyone who will and even share it Nice video sis I love your makeup 👌
Fantastic review 👏..Not sure which neighborhood Spadinar Cresent falls under but some really nice trails and houses. Saskatoon is beautiful 😍..Regina still dey learn
Walking along Spadina crescent should be included in therapy, lol. That should be downtown, i guess. This Regina fight? My hand nor dey o, hahaha. Thanks bro
I have only lived in Saskatoon, so i wont be able to provide this much information on Regina. However, information like schools and the healthcare system cuts across the entire province so it will apply to Regina as well.
Hi ,your channel is very informative. Can you review best neighborhoods for an international student. I feel these neighborshoods are for people with kids and all.
Hi marina. Thx for the lovely content. I am new to your channel and i love it. I would be moving to saskatoon soon with my young children. Please, a good Catholic school and safe area is paramount to me. Any ideas please? Plus i here some schools dont teach French? Is that true? Cos i would love my children to learn French. Await your response. Cheers
Saskatoon is adorable city with less population and humble people. I and my family are about to go there but just my wife had gotten visa rest of us wait for visa. (2 children). Please inform us about public transports to these neighborhoods and it will be hard to get drive license on first year :(
So why aren't people moving here already? All my friends keep selling Toronto to me🙄🙄. Rent alone sef na die . Sis Marina , this is me booking you as my travel consultant in advance. Thank you ☺️
Chai, I'm glad I know you o, so that nobody will tell me I'm famzing later 😁😁. Fine woman. Your videos are always so informative. Thanks a lot sis. You are definitely going places. Keep up the good work 🤗🤗🤗
Hi Marina, I have a family of 5. 1 kid is in highschool (going to college in 4 years) and 2 are in elementary. I am moving from a small town so our plan is to rent first then after a year, buy a house. What neighborhood would you recommend? My hope is to find a neighborhood with a rental townhouse/house then a house that we can purchase later on without the kids changing schools. Your thoughts? Thanks!
Hi, I am from the U.K. and we love your videos. We are hoping to get our PR soon and arrive next Feb/Mar. I have two kids 10 and 13 and we want the best schools and area to live in. We want to buy a house within 6 months but want a 3 bed house to rent with 2 bathrooms to start off with. Can you recommend any agents to use that are trustworthy? And truthfully which would be the best area to go?
I'm surprised you didn't mention: Business Central District (downtown), CityPark; Varsity View (convenient for international students); what about college park ?
There so many neighborhoods that didn't make it to my list. The ones I listed are my top preferences, and places I am more familiar with. Thanks a lot for watching.
Hey Marina, how about neighbourhoods to watch out for in terms of crime rates? I know it’s another subject altogether and probably complex to know this info, but t’will be nice to have an overview for a first time mover to Saskatoon. Thanks
Rumour has it that a certain radius around 20th and 22nd street west (especially around St Paul's hospital) experiences a lot of disturbances. However, there may be people who have lived there who may disagree so it kinda varies.
Saskatoon Police on twitter does a good job of listing crimes and where they happen. Having said that, there is crime everywhere VK, more in some places so like Marina said people may disagree or agree if they been a victim, or known someone who has
@ Wilfred, yeah you’re right, no where in the world is 100% safe. Just wanted to have an idea of safety concerns. I’ll look up the Saskatoon police crime list you mentioned. Thanks
I will be starting college in saskatoon this fall as an international student and I would like to know if it's easy finding part time jobs as a student? Thank you
Great video and helpful to many. I agree a lot has to be considered when looking for a space to rent. From single to married , job location , personality , driving or not , school zone if one has kids. Thanks very much for sharing
Hello Marina, I just stumbled on your videos and I find them to be very informative. Saying hello from Barbados West Indies. If I get a reply from you I will know that you read my comment
Hi Esiri. My name is Esther, I'm from delta state. I'm planning to relocate to Canada with my family. A family of 5. We just submitted our documents after receiving ITA last month September from SINP. I hope to communicate more with you on the way forward as look forward to relocating to sks with my family ASAP. I also gained admission to the university of saskatchewan as an international student. I'm so so confused. Should I wait for the PNP or go ahead with the admission and go for a study visa. Pls I need your advice pls pls and plsssss
It may help go ahead as an international student. When you get the PR and you are still a student, you can notify the school to then adjust your status to PR instead of international student. If you already have the admission, I will advise you to go ahead with it. All the best!
I’ve heard that there’s gang activities in Saskatoon, tell us about the safest neighborhoods in Saskatoon, btw what does the gang do? They kill people or sth else? I’m really worried 🥴
The gangs typically fight themselves. People just dont like the disturbance that can bring. The neighborhoods listed in these video are very safe. A radius around downtown especially close to st Paul's hospital is relatively unsafe.
@@MARINAESIRI ty for answering, i wanna move to Canada and i've heard that the Saskatchewan province is the easiest way for getting the pr, i just need to know that is it easy there to find a job there as a microbiologist😅❤
Yes, superstore carries a range of intetnational spices, including from Jamaica and there is a Caribbean store as well. I will find the store and do a tour of the place and share with you guys.
I've applied and submitted ALL of my documents for sinp on Dec 21st 2019, and yet not heard from SINP 😔😑no idea on what's happening.. Any thoughts dear?
SINP only just resumed the draws so i am guessing that work has started on applications so it will only be a matter of time before they finalize on applications as well. All the best!
In this life hustle ooo. These places look nice but the costs of getting a house(not rent) would reset your brain if you don't have the money 😂 I refuse to be poor in this life
Hi, thanks for your videos. I will be moving to Saskatoon. I am a graduate student and would like to live off campus, but I have to idea what neighbourhoods are the best (closest to the university), any suggestions?
I am planning to film a tour of the University of Saskatchewan and i will include apartments around it as well so please look out for that video. I will cover as much of the questions i have received.
