Switzerland is a summer hikers paradise, from glistening glaciers and enchanting waterfalls to exotic wildflowers and deep blue alpine lakes. To get closer to the beauty in Switzerland I recommend staying in one of the many Swiss mountain hotels, huts or guesthouses along the trail.
Staying overnight in a mountain hotel will allow you to be in the center of everything the alps has to offer at the most quiet time of the day. When all the day hikers and tourists head down the mountain for the night, you’ll be able to enjoy the evening and early morning hours of quiet solitude in the midst of the alps. Take a stroll on nearby trails after dinner or before breakfast and enjoy the surrounding wildlife and maybe some cows too! Stargazing high up in the alps is just incredible so bring your jacket and watch the show!
Your summer hiking vacation in Switzerland could be a trip of a lifetime, but staying a night or two in a mountain hotel is really the cherry on top.
