How do you remove the volume knob?

I am having a serious problem trying to get samples in my unit. Do these cables you show in #3 work for Samsung Galaxy phones? I don't have an iPhone and I see people use this alot. I also have a Tascam portastudio 32 track I need to connect to it. Any advice or tips? I appreciate the help
