I can't explain to me why you don't have billions of subs on youtube. Your videos are always perfect and clear, ok maybe are only intros to a particular topic but you always set the basis to let people start to practice and thinking about it. I absolutely need other videos like this one, what about reverb, fuzz, chorus, phaser, equalizer and I'm sure that you can tell me something that I don't know about distortion and overdrive. Thanks Adrian

Yes echoes & delays are the most exciting effects ... I remember the first one I played was in fact my father's 1962 Grundig tube stereo tape recorder that could be used as an echo chamber, like many tape recorders at that time ... so fun !

Thanks a really good explanation and demo of delay pedals, functions and how you use delay. A very simple and concise review for anyone new and learning about guitar and delay, not that I do but delay is for me a great sounding, creative and one of the more exciting guitar FX. Tape delay has always been my favourite most used delay effect. Thanks nice to watch your review and see how you use it.

Yes. The gear is always interesting. And the deeper dives into how they can be used unexpectedly. Also, since it’s been such a great career, a deeper dive into the evolution of The Edge’s use of Delay, and effects overall, could be a fulfilling episode.

Great video! My GF bought me a Boss DD-20 last year, prior to that I'd had various Zoom cheap-n-cheerful combo pedals. As a teenager I had an second-hand-shop bargain Arion stereo analog delay and I tried so hard to get The Edge sounds from it (without really understanding the whole dotted-eighth thing). Anyway, the DD-20 it was something I'd lusted after for years after borrowing one briefly many many years ago, and if I was only allowed to keep one pedal and give up everything else, it'd be the DD-20 I'd keep.

Nice video! I have an original DL4 that I bought back in 2008 and have found some very cool sounds over the years. I just got a Carbon Copy and think it'll work perfectly for those great '70's-esque solos. Also, I really enjoyed your video on London Calling that you did. It was very helpful for my friend and me since we'd decided to play that in our band. We give you full arrangement credit.

Brilliant video as always. So good to hear that original Roland Space Echo -- what a classic! I've ordered one of the Boss/Roland reinventions of that unit, but due to the parts shortage I've been waiting since April to receive it. But for those on a real budget, I'd recommend the Nu-X Tape Core -- again, it's based on the Roland Space Echo -- and it's got a really faithful tape delay sound and does the feedback thing in a really warm way. And it's ridiculously inexpensive for what you get.

I just got a new OD, and completely redid my pedal board for the occasion. I had been using my delay before my drives and after fuzz and compressor because it sounded puncher that way, but this time I decided "Hey, let's be a conformist this time!", and put it after my whole tone stack. Now it sounds soooo anemic! And this time I put both my delays in the chain for some double-tap action, but all I get is two weak delay sounds. Back to the ol drawing board for me.

I have a Boss DD8 and it also has the hold function, but you have to hold the footswitch for it to keep playing, which is annoying. Other than that, I love it, it’s super versatile
@allanmunro3893

The Boss DD3 also does the glitch sound, it’s what Graham Coxon used on the Blur track Get on your Own. Like your pedal though it requires the footswitch to be held down.
