Of your top 5 foundations I've tried only 2 the luminous silk and I've recently tried the dior and it's my hands down favorite foundation! I love it!! I wish I'd discovered it sooner.

Hi Rashi, great video. My favourite is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation. It is so skin like, and the shade is a perfect match. I love the formula beacuase of the natural look. I never buy full coverage foundation and I don't like it on my skin. Runner-up is the NARS Sheer Glow. Such a beautiful formula. I also love the Laura Mercier Lumiere foundation. Biggest let-down for me were the Too Faced Born This Way (too cakey, settles in all fine lines, looks really unnatural on me), and the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. I really wanted to love the IT one, but I just couldn't make it work. The shade range just so crappy. It looks so ashy on me, which is such a shame, because the formula and the benefits are amazing. Too bad... Lately I haven't touched my foundations as I am crazy in love with my tinted moisturizers (NARS & Saie).

Yesss! I used wear Bobbi Brown skin foundation many years ago and it was an absolute favourite. Excellent natural finish with a great shade selection. I have yet to try Nars sheer glow. I was also rather disappointed with IT cosmetics, I couldn't make any shade work so never ended up buying it. I'm curious now about Saie, thanks for the recommendation 😊

Rashi thanks a lot for these shade match videos. Found my closest shade in many brands thanks to you. We have very similar skin tone. In Estée Lauder DW found fawn as a perfect match for my skin tone even though I was matched to cashew which is too yellow for me . Only issue is Armani luminous as both 6.5( too light)and 7.75 (too dark )are a bit off for me.

Super excited to get my Huda foundation which I bought after watching your video. Glad to see you picked up the full size of it. You could also try the huda stick foundation, it is a beautiful natural finish, I have heard. I bought that too so Im excited to use it as well oh AND you look absolutely STUNNING!!!!!

Where I’m from there is only summer and rain so I’m always a NC 43 but your shade gives me an idea on what a product might look on me even though half the brands isn’t available in India 😕 thank you anyways. And merry christmas!! 🙏🏼

The way you feel about the Dior foundation is the same way I feel about it too. For me, it's mainly bc the shade match is just SO GOOD! I'm also 3WO and prior to Dior, I had so many issues finding the right foundation shade. Now I've switched over to Dior foundation and concealer almost exclusively. (It does suck that the alcohol is so high on the ingredient list, I agree but thankfully it hasn't broken me out either.) Have you tried the Dior concealer & the backstage face & body foundation? As always, love your videos!

Uff the Huda needs to be buffed into an emollient moisturizer. And i cant do emollient moisturizers. Need to try it in sections like you said, maybe itll work lile that.

Hi Rashi, I noticed a lot of your recs for foundations are liquid or serum like. Since the current makeup trend is a lighter base or something quick and easy on the go, could you do a video about different face options? I see a women going towards compact/cushion foundations and was hoping you could do a video with different brands ie: Em Cosmetics, Innisfree, Laneige, Amore Pacific, Dior, Sulwhasoo

Hey Aditi compact foundations are tricky as I don't often find my shade match. They generally work better for light skintones. They also don't hold much product so you end up paying a lot more than regular liquid foundations. I will look at some options in future to try out and will keep on eye out for brown skin friendly shades. You can also check out skin tint reviews I've done for Nars, Huda and Ilia for lighter base options. My fave powder compact foundation is sephora powder foundation which is perfect for combo skin.

Ahh I've always loved Dior foundations. I've tried many over the years and they always work beautifully on my skin. The foundation is very different to the concealer. Itz not as thick!

I was so mad at myself and the store representative who matched my Estée Lauder foundation on me, she suggested I match it to my neck and the foundation turned out to be too dark. Now I understand that I should have gone for the shade Cashew instead of Toasted Toffee (which I have).

Itz not your fault Pooja. Store reps have limited understanding of brown skin. They will often match to the neck which is incorrect. They should ALWAYS match brown skin to the centre of the face. It is really frustrating and I have even had arguments with store reps when they insist they must match you to the neck🙄

@@RashiRamalho oh okay glad that you have tried it though already and know it doesnt work! Also I understand the struggle, my skin tone is similar to yours for most part like what it seems. NC40 is tad bit light for me and NC42 is dark so I have to kinda try before I buy just as much as you. I have a golden and olive undertone so its a challenge for me at times especially between winter and summer to get something with the right balance.

I so wanted this Dior to work, but I'm olive with no yellow/golden tone to my skin. Maybe I can mix it with a cooler tone? Lol Even Sephora employees struggle to find foundations for me 😭

Hey Asha in that case I highly recommend you get LA Girl pro color foundation mixing pigment in blue. Adding blue to any of your existing foundations will turn the undertone cooler. You can also buy the yellow pigment as mixing in yellow + blue will turn foundations olive. If the shade you get is still too warm you can add a little more blue and it will look cooler. I've been loving these Pigments as they mean I can use many of my existing foundations that aren't the right undertones for me.
