RE: Skip Intro Mod - You can skip the Logos by pressing Escape, THEN escape again to skip the intro. This mod removes them from even loading. I know how an escape button works ;)
@@voiceofreason467 I stand corrected! But you have to press escape twice - once to skip the logos, another to skip the intro, changed the above to reflect that :D
Gotta say one thing about the GCCM: Faction-Capitals. It looks awesome but some of the models get so unreasonably large, that it becomes hard to maneuver in the direct vicinity of the cities or even click the fricking city itself to attack, since the actual hitbox remains the same size.
Thanks for including my updated version of Den’s Immersive Battle Banners. Just to make it clear, currently there’s no need for doing any changes since when new subfaction for existing race drops, mod automatically colors the banners in the colors of a new faction, so only thing I could possibly need to add are new icons on the banners.
I hadn't ever heard of the 'Decline Diplomacy' mod, and I'm pretty sure you just changed my life for the better by telling me about it. As for mods I'd recommend, the only one that really springs to mind is the Tier IV Minor Settlements mod. Can't play without it anymore, opens up so many province setups.
That mod is rather broken by the way, it penalises Horde factions massively and is the number one reason for their early demise. As they simply cannot outrun aggressors.
You don’t need it if you kit your characters out with increased movement range. It’s very thematic because you can march further and further as your lord gets stronger. My Iket claw can travel absurd distances now from his traits and hero’s. Roads for some factions also help l.
Dryrain's reskin mod is AMAZING for Vampire Counts. It makes the Grave Guard look imposing and armoured, instead of a bunch of skeletons with a bit of cloth and a breastplate on them...
The most important mod you did not list in my opinion is Nitz’ Max level 60. It really helps out in long campaigns because you can keep leveling your hero and eventually get every skill unlocked. Just helps keep the game enjoyable in the late game. Nitz’ fake skill point dump goes along well with it.
" My Top Mod Picks for Total War: Warhammer 2" is a weird way to spell "Age of Sigmar: Flesheater Courts lore" =P This has been a message by the Knight Whoms Respectfully Ask About Flesheater Courts Videos.
I like Immersive Battle Banners, but I prefer Tabletop Heraldry, as it changes faction symbols as well and it generally has a less "fantastical look" than the in-game heraldry. That's just my preference of course
Buildings progressions icons Mod is the kind of thing you don't realise TWW was missing until mentioned. Really subtle mod that makes progression feel more complete, like in Rome 2 total war...nice spot on this one. Me likey
If you are looking for a minimalist, QoL, and decently upgraded visuals, use all the mods and only the mods mentioned in this video with a few exceptions for simple mods or ones that don't have a lot of scripts involved (doesn't change a lot about the game). However, a lot of these mods are now outdated, so any new mods that are updated to the most recent patch may cause scripting errors and will not be compatible with each other. For example, something like GCCM Unique Faction Capitals with Cultural Settlement Skin mod are NOT compatible, as they change similar things like settlement appearances, and GCCM Unique Faction Capitals has not been updated for the past few patches.
The two points per level mod can be fun but it really makes the game way to easy in my opinion. Players lords always level up vastly faster than the ai lords and you quickly become very OP
I want to mod my game, but I mostly play co-op campaign with my girlfriend. If I decide to mod my game, and she doesn't mod hers, will I still be able to play with her on our campaign or will she also need to go through the trouble of modding her game to match mine to be compatible?
Most of these are mods I already use, but I wasn't sold on the deeper and darker sea until now, I think I'll give it a try. On the topic of mods on the gameplay side of things, one thing I'd always recommend is Crynsos' Faction Unlocker, which, aside from the unlocking, is notable for all the many small improvements it makes to the game, from tiny quality of life changes to adding the occasional minor faction where there would otherwise be too little variety in terms of the factions you run into, and so on. None of the changes it makes are staggering, but all of them together make the campaign significantly more enjoyable.
In the vanilla Warhammer II Total War: Everyone have heamophilia! Do you need Less Blood, Less Gore I to be able to use Less Blood, Less Gore II? (And all other mod with a II.) Does anyone know that the Mod that allowes you to buy a settlement from a faction you have a good enough relationship with is called?
KronicSD I cant play anything other than SFO, it’s the best, but my one gripe is that some factions with many elite low model units, (WE for me are the most noticeable) you field an armies with such low numbers it’s more like Total Skirmish than Total War.
Would be cool to see some sea creatures swimming around. Maybe eating the dudes that fall in the ocean? Same with on land? Like the fallen in the back getting dragged by wolf's, cold ones, or the other numerous creatures?
Great stuff, thank you for making this! I immediately subscribed a couple new ones. Hope you do these in the future too, maybe try viewers recommendations too and give your two cents
More 'nuanced' skill points is the must for me., makes all the starting Lords for all factions a lot better and moves the first 20 turns on a lot more too
If you have a good PC dryrains Reskin mod is seriously amazing. Can’t recommend it enough. Be aware it won’t work without the graphics settings all set to maximum
You might enjoy some of these mods by Mazisky: Campaign Forestry - Nature Overhaul for Campaign map Ultimate Lighting + Random Weather Realistic Fog of War Settlement Panel Landscape
Radious is good if you want all the races to be exactly the same. SFO is good if you like the actual lore. I also recommend the mod that makes all units unbreakable. But that is mostly because I hate playing 12 minutes matches whether I win or lose.
Fixed Skydome Mod is deleted in Steam Workshop :C Solved Dials of the Old Ones, thats what i really needed! cant understand why CA took this damn Riddles into the Game
When did they add that city to the Straight of Lothern province? Looks like several changes to HE island, is that a mod? I just did a HE playthrough two weeks ago and it was as it has always been, did I miss a DLC?
Are there any mods that make skill points less annoying during the late game? Disabling the "Assign Skill Point" turn check? Or maybe making them come in batches, ie earn 5 skill points every 5 levels instead of 1 per level?
I believe you can just remove the assign skill point turn check in the vanilla game. It's an option on the bottom right hand corner (looks like a gear I believe)
Landmarks of the old world is pretty interesting. Can help alot with additional bonuses. But some of the more powerful buildings have penalties to keep it more even. Like brass keep has a mine that adds 3k gold but gives I think -8 public order as empire and diplomatic penalties with dwarves
The brittionans get a nasty one, not aure if everyone gets it, in wizard caliphs palace that gives a minus 10 percent construction cost faction wide. Super good because those stables are super pricey
It shouldnt. I play on Vanilla, with only Mixu´s lords, Mixu´s enabler and Legendary Lords respec mod. Don´t you keep the SFO compatibiity submod on when you start the vanilla game? Happened to me too.
I would add a mod that remove "Great Power" diplomacy penalty. This penalties are really painfull when you get a few dozens of settlements, and can make you whole world hate you, even the same race factions. Thats really annoing.
The cultual settlements mod is a bit silly, all is does is paste another settlement model over the original one and sometimes you end up with 2 settlement models in each other , looking completly dumb...
My favorite are capped Campaign units no ai doomstacks and allied auxiliary mod to combine racial units in all factions which is also capped as very fun to use with diplomacy and alliances.
I also like using the norsca longbow marauders. But that mod is so op for the unlimited ammo. Wish someone would copy and paste reskin huntsman for norsca. Won my first game on VH as norsca with it lol
There's a lot of stuff about the mods that are talked about but not shown. Some visual comparisons before/after mods and some better examples to show them off would have made a big difference. There's a lot of "cant really see it here" going on. Maybe it wasn't the point of the video or there wasn't enough time to record everything but yeah, that's a little feedback. :j
My most wanted mod is when game 3 comes out I want a mod that adds an ogre kingdom faction lead by Shrek with green Ogres and bonus to donkeys, starting in a swamp and the endgame unit he gets for completing his short campaign is a Dragon Ogre Shrekkith
Lol @ comestic mod. The only mod you should have is the Community Bug Fix, the one who fixes most of CA's bad release each time they try to introduce anything.
@@italianspartacus It's not implemated 100%, there was update in The Aye Aye! update (Vampirates DLC) - Zooming limits adjusted - min camera height is lower, allowing for a ground-level cinematic angle, and max cam height is 17% higher, allowing for a slightly wider overview
Ever tried unit rarity mod? For a more lore friendly balance in the form of troop recruitment caps :-) I never play campaigns without it now. For example, if playing the empire, there is a natural cap for recruiting Great Swords (2 per fully upgraded barracks). This forces you to base more of your army on regular state troops, peasents, orc boys or clan rats and a.s.o. No kind of troop ever gets redundant this way, and you are forced to play the faction with both its chaf and its elites. Would love to see a campaign like this on youtube. Would make one myself, but I only got at laptop and lack of time :/
Ooh I like the sound of this. I like to role play my campaigns and theme my armies but find I just end up spamming armies to beat the AI. This could solve that.
@@italianspartacus If that's really such a big deal for people then great for everyone that wants it. But I personally think it's pointless Also thanks for responding so quickly. I didn't actually expect to get any response since this video was a few months old.
not a problem :) it's just nice that you don't have to worry about the screens at all if you press "start" and walk away from the game, but that's just me!
I am not going to give the usual like for your videos simply because while you mentioned that the focus for this video was not overhaul, I didn't expect that to mean "I talk about one for less then a minute and have 0 comment on the others". I won't drop the thumbs down for that, but I feel like simply titling this "My favorite non over haul mods" would have given someone like me better expectations since I simply cannot play vanilla. It's cool you enjoy vanilla and am not putting anyone down who does, but for someone like me this video really didn't do much. But that's just me, I still
oh brother! i'm sorry! i just wanted to share some mods that i use . I felt that going too in-depth on them would seem like I'm trying to over hype them when they're all very small mods. Like I said at the end, I don't really touch overhaul mods, hence why I don't really have any comments on them, and was saying that I felt like it would be an injustice to not at least MENTION them :). I wanted to give them their just deserves since they are such a HUGE part of the modding community, but they just aren't something I've really delved into. Thank you so much for your feedback though, it's really important to me and you do bring up great points
@ Italian Spartacus: You have 2 mods that conflict in your list. Skydome and Alternative Lighting both edit environmental values. Could cause CTD's. I recommend Improved battle weather grim and dark by Kelstr
Did I just scroll through the comments hoping someone would have said this to make me feel good about myself? You're damn right I did. Glad you like it
Ember Nite some mods don’t effect multiplayer but the ones that due generally require both players to have it installed though maybe some of the graphics mods might not, I’m not sure. If you’re not sure if the mod works in multiplayer check on the mod page, many of the big mods that effect multiplayer will say if both players need to have it
1andrzej1i mods like that shouldn’t have a problem with this beta I would think since they didn’t add new units. I know that some mods work fine even if it doesn’t say that they are updated since what they effect doesn’t get changed updates
