ive never thought about collecting eggs right out of the turtle, i have desert tortoises and i just let them finish laying eggs because im scared that i might disturb them when they are going through the process. Cool video tho :)
Clifford Kennels well they are aware of the surroundings for example when my dog gets near them they hide their head but they’re used to me being around them so they aren’t bothered by it unless I get too close to their face

I don’t think it’s as bad as dogs and people because the eggs are much smaller I think it’s more like constipation. They do moan a little when laying but that could be just from pushing not from pain so I’m not sure
Yo hago lo mismo siempre que puedo. Como te pasa, a veces las mias también rompen los huevos. Yo utilizo unas pinzas de esas para freir, para coger los huevos y no meter tanto la mano y una brocha para limpiar el exceso de tierra, y claro, utilizo el cartón de huevos también.

I mainly put the lids just to stack them. I leave some open because they are probably hatching soon so it’s easier for me to see but my incubator keeps humidity and temperature the same regardless of wether they have lids or not :)
I breed Russian tortoises and I’m pretty sure they would never allow me to be right next to them pulling out the eggs. I wish they would as it would make things easier.
