Your recent video about fitting large tires is like the bookend/opposite version of this video! Yours gives a detailed explanation about how to fit large tires. I just throw them on and show how it doesn't work. 🤣
Fun video. You should do a comparison on how much work a Tacoma needs for 35s vs Colorado with 35s. Feel like Tacoma might be less work. Colorado owner here
Hey there! We did test fit 33's off camera. I'm guessing (not confirmed yet) I'd need to do the body mount chop... but not the entire relocation 35's would require. Also... upper control arms would help. I also have new front wheel well liners I need to install that should help. Check the video linked in the description from Tinkerer's Adventure. He explains it really well. I'll be releasing the video about my suspension soon. We just installed the new leaf springs and I'm very pleased. In a nutshell... I have Bilstein 6112's with 650 lb Eibach springs (to support the weight of the winch and bumper) along with SumoSprings Bump Stops in the front. In the rear I have OME Dakar Medium Duty leaf springs, SumoSprings Bump Stops and Bilstein 5100's.
@@BADD400 Which works great until you actually flex that suspension. A suspension lift only really changes the static ride height. Try to navigate any obstacle off road and that tire is going to come right back up to the same position. Now imagine hitting a bump while turning, that fender liner is gone.
@@BADD400 jeep is not the same thing as an IFS front end. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not possible. The rear with the solid axle can be helped by longer shocks and extended bumpstops (how a jeep does it) but the front you have to cut. Period. Everyone who doesn’t limits uptravel of already minimal articulation. I did it. You did not by the sounds of it. You got more to learn about these trucks Also lifts are correlated to big tires not caused by big tires. Classic statistical error on your part
Much appreciated. One high quality video a week is the goal. Life and the day job make it a challenge but I have high asperations for this cheesy channel.
Thank you for all your time and efforts! You guys have a great sense of humor; so after watching this, I had to subscribe! The puppies are too cute too; =^-^=! The truck actually looked incredible, so you may have to pursue this endeavor! Lol. God bless you all as well, and take good care! 👍
