This is great for perspective! … To see how much time is required to have the type of success you are having. I remember in my 20s when I would work like this, but now with a family and many other factors my days look much different. Different stages of life bring different resources, priorities, etc. I love how you share, and to see your tips and successes… and at the same time I am reminded not to compare myself to others. (apples to oranges)
It is good to not compare! I am in my twenties, my husband works a lot, and I don’t have kids. So I have a very different schedule than other people. If you do less, that’s fine! We’re all in different stages. Do what you can but make a plan and execute the plan
Life is so different when you have kids! For me, it’s mostly in the evening as mornings are busy getting kids ready and I’m not an early morning person. But even in the evenings I need to clean, prep daughters lunch, etc, so I’m not working at my prime time and am slow to create. I try to get more done on the weekends as kids play, but it’s sporadic. Even now while I’m home today (ahhh, Covid outbreak at daycare), it’s hard to get meaningful work done with kids around! Maybe one day I’ll just take a day and hang out a Starbucks and just create as much as I can!
Great video as always, Becca! Last November and December, I could only work during my commute to school (3 hrs a day). Since I lost my job in January, I've been working consistently from 7.30-12:00 on my shop, then doing small jobs here and there, and work an extra hour if I find the time during the day. I loved looking at your systems and schedules because now that I reached my 50 products goal, I want to add a blog and newsletter, and was a bit loss on how to make that work. I'm always super impressed with how efficient you are and how much you get done in so little time!
I’m sorry about your job but congrats to you for making lemonade! It’s been a lot of trial and error but this is what’s working for me- batching some things, doing some in the moment, etc
Does watching your videos count as working on my business? LOL! I have taken your advice and tried to be more purposed at school so that I'm taking less home. It's helping! Thanks!
I guess that depends on if you’re watching wine or if you’re watching them for a few hours. I don’t know that I can endorse it if you’re binging them. Unless you’re making products while you watch. But if you’re looking for tips then yes we can count that
I struggle to find time for my store. It takes me from 1-2 hours to get to work in the morning. So working before then is impossible. In the afternoons it takes me another 1-2 hours to travel back home and when I do get there I am exhausted already!
Do you use a certain planner or digital program to organize all that you want to work on? Also being that this is now 2yo, do you still follow this routine? Or have an update? Thx!!
Hi Becca, does Pinterest still work for you since their algorithm changed? Could you create a video all about Pinterest and how to get the most benefit from it, or would you recommend not to use it as muh
