This is a touchy subject, one that I know many have opinions on. I welcome an open dialogue and discourse. I understand hijab is fardh (mandated) and there is no excuse to not wear it as a Muslim woman. I wanted to take this moment to offer some insight into what hijab means to me in an honest and vulnerable way. In my efforts to remain authentic and transparent with you all I am opening up about a subject I have never addressed. I pray Allah swt makes it easier for me and I ask you to make Dua for me too. May Allah swt reward you all. Welcome to my channel it’s an honor to have you here!

Hijab is FARD but also a journey. However this is no excuse to not wear it Remember Allah swt gave us humans the option to choose between good and bad. Just like that we are given the option to whether we obey Allah swt by wearing the hijab or disobey Allah swt by not wearing the hijab. Try your best at being modest you can slowly build your way up. Always have modesty on your mind and practice it until you make it up there. Go from wearing crop tops to wearing shirts. From shirts to a shirt and long skirt. Then to abayas with hijab. And inshallah one day niqab. To those of you who are trying, i beg you sisters PLEASE do not share or post your pictures or vids with adornments or with your hair showing! May Allah make it easy for you

my sister, fear Allah. if you are struggling with a sin and are not practicing a particular obligation, don’t post it for the world to see, don’t expose your sins!!!!

I think that she is helping other sisters who are struggling with wearing hijab as well. As she mentioned in the beginning, hijab is a journey and she is sharing her experience, there is nothing wrong with that. Let's be more compassionate with sisters who are struggling with hijab, it's really not easy being a hijabi in the west.

This!! I relate so much. I was forced to wear the hijab 10 months ago on the first day of my masters. In the beginning, I was taking off the hijab whenever I went to the store (since I couldn’t at class cuz my classmates already saw me with it). I hated wearing it to the point I was crying every night. I got better, but I still have this feeling. I've been so attached to my hair it was my accessory it's what made me feel pretty. Although it's been 7 months since I haven’t taken it off I also consider myself a part-time hijabi since I still post my old pics without a hijab on my insta which my friends who are boys see. I'm also not ready to tell anyone that I'm wearing it cuz then it'll feel like reality. Except for my friends, whom I see daily I haven't even told my cousins since we live in different countries. I recently just had my master's graduation and was thinking of taking it off for the pics since it's not every day u graduate. Ended up not doing it due to the pressure, albeit, me hating the pics. Love ur honesty since most "hijab journeys" online are positive it's nice to see someone also feeling the same as me since no one around me understands. Inshallah, Allah gives us the strength to do better and fully commit.

yes sister the hadith to quote is: Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A time of patience will come to people in which adhering to one’s religion is like grasping a hot coal.” Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2260 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani But also for positive reference: It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Islam began as something strange and will go back to being strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.’”

You are so pretty in the hijab (you are already) but it makes you so elegant, I want to wear it, I’m a born Muslim but I grew up with a very western lifestyle and wanting to wear it is like a westerner reverting tbh , it’s not much different because people don’t care unless it shows lol , anyway, even though you’re a part time hijabi I’m gonna keep you in my mind as inspiration, because for me, my struggle is very superficial tbh, it’s about feeling pretty and confident and when I see women so beautiful and powerful in hijab, like precious queens, inaccessible looking but in a good way👑 , it inspires me

@@SalmaIbrahim-bq7yq thank you love! I see hijab like a crown it can only increase your beauty because we live in a world of false validation you don’t need the approval of anyone else for the world to know you are beautiful we know it, you know it, just remember it. One practical thing that makes me feel beautiful in hijab is wearing beautiful abayas and elevating my modest closet to be filled with gorgeous skirts and dresses that make me happy, I know I am still a work in progress but we all are in our own ways ❤️

Aslm sister, im not here to judge. I have some advise if I am allowed to give it. It helped me sooo much with my own journey🤲1)Surround yourself with woman and go to places where it motivates you to wear your hijab. 2)Work on your connection with Allah through your Salaah and as ask Allah for guidance and help with your struggles. 3)If you find yourself waking up in the middle of the night and you cannot fall asleep. This is a personal invite from Allah to perform you Tahjud Salaah. Allah is wanting you to come to him for help and guidance. 4) Work on your surroundings and the people who are in your circle. Hijab is not just head scarf it’s clothing, the way we carry ourself, ect. So maybe just start with finding your connection to Allah keep making salaahtul Tahajud and Istigarah and continue asking for guidance. Remember Allah guides whom he chooses and the mere fact that you are battling within yourself is a sign that Allah still loves you because you feeling some form of guilt. YOU should be worried if you have no shame or thoughts about your hijab or deen. I make duah you find your peace with struggles. Inshallah May Allah help and guide you through this struggle. Again my advise to you would be find your connection with Allah. It works walaahi it’s just a matter of time. Remember NOTHING you have achieved was without Allahs will and like every Muslim we are all given tests. This maybe your test from Allah who knows? May Allah make it easy. Love and light sent all the way from Cape Town South Africa

1 thing I always say to my fellow sisters is there isnt a perfect time to wear the hijab, as long as your life isnt at risk, its an obligation so do it as soon as, and learn how to fully try to improve and encompass all the parts of hijab not just the physical qimaar, U always say focus on hijab in behaviour first if its difficult, everything is a struggle theres no perfect time, its all about fighting through our own desires and struggles, theres a reason why its the biggest jihad, I struggle myself living in the west Its so difficult being a hijabi woman in the west, but I know Allah protects us and will reward us for our struggles we experience, Allah knows the struggle we go through and sister dont every think your struggles are not being rewarded, Allah is Al Ghafur the most forgiving, Allah loves us more than any human could Abu Dharr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah Almighty says: Whoever comes with a good deed will have the reward of ten like it and even more. Whoever comes with an evil deed will be recompensed for one evil deed like it or he will be forgiven. Whoever draws close to Me by the length of a hand, I will draw close to him by the length of an arm. Whoever draws close to Me the by length of an arm, I will draw close to him by the length of a fathom. Whoever comes to Me walking, I will come to him running. Whoever meets Me with enough sins to fill the earth, not associating any partners with Me, I will meet him with as much forgiveness.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2687 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim Sister praise yourself for wearing it for 10month, dont be ashamed lol, random but alot of couples divorce and studies show its because they forget to praise each other for little things they think its irrelevant or bare minimum, I celebrate every day I wear hijab, we are grateful to others, but remember to give grace to yourself too sister Society here has no problem with nuns showcasing their beliefs and faith in God, they praise what Maryam AS wore, but unlike their religion, beauty of Islam, from the poor to rich, the old to the young, the weak or strong, days of Maryam AS to 2024, we are all governed by the same requirements and standards, we are equal and we dont have to be someone to please random mens male gaze and desires

Dear sister, Hijab is a journey and you will wear hijab full time when your in the right state of mind and Allah calls you to wear it full time. I am a new convert to Islam and am hoping my wife will start walking the path of Islam with me and eventually wear hijab full time Inshaallah. I hope to start my children in Islamic Sunday school this year and I am strongly encouraging my seven year old daughter to wear hijab. May she fall in love with hijab and truly understand its meaning and fully embrace it.

salam safia! i just wanted to take the time to acknowledge & applaud your strength for even making this video. your heart is in the right place. there’s many part time hijabis out there, but you’re the only one that i’ve seen to address this touchy subject, allowing yourself to be vulnerable, & talk about a personal issue as such with genuine concern and authenticity. from someone who never left the house without a beat face, hair done, to now a full time, makeup free, jilbabi, i can confidently say it all comes from strengthening your relationship with Allah swt. always keeping you in my prayers, my sister in islam. may Allah swt answer all your prayers! 💞

Hijab existed way before Islam sis and different cultures used it for different reasons and in Islam slave women wasn't allowed to cover up and used to get hit if they do also there is no punishment for who doesn't wear it in the Quran the punishment is only in the Hadiths that was written after 200 years of the prophet death.

Salaam! I relate to your story so much and appreciate your honesty. I have recently started wearing hijab too after coming back from umrah allhamdulilah, but after coming back to the west I sometimes feel like my “old” life before wearing hijab doesn’t align with how i want to live my life now. Although I sometimes make mistakes, I have found it extremely helpful to start getting involved in my muslim community in the west and make an effort to go to the masjid and get involved with events at the masjid like sisters halaqa. Making friends with muslim girls who are actively practicing and remind you when it’s time to pray when out in public is such a blessing. Doing these things helped me continue to have high iman after coming from the middle east and bringing those good habits here. I pray that Allah swt rewards us all for our efforts and makes it easier to follow his commands🤍 I believe in you and I’m excited for more of your future vids! also mashallah you’re so beautiful as well
