Excellent tutorial! Thanks for sharing. At the 9:55 mark, you begin painting over the areas of hair that should remain hidden to the background; I've found doing this type of edit to be easier using Mask view mode. This lets you quickly see the grey, transparent areas that have been cut into the image by the refine edge tool.

During the lockdown i also watched over 200 hours of phlearn pro tutorials. I am now recognizing steps well and able to make good selections. Its awsome

Jesus thank you so much, this is by far the Best ADOBE training on online especially RU-vid. Your teaching skills are perfect. Your "behind the scenes" explaination of how the Adobe Ai works was great. It really helped me to understand more about what happens. I am only a beginner but with your help, I am learning fast. Right now, I am using my knowledge to create product photos and this video helped tremendously.

Love your 2 step process Jesus. I normally mask hair separately but using two masks, one for the hair, one for the rest of the subject. I then merge them later. Your method is much better, I'll start doing it this way going forward 👍

It is very good learning from this tutorial that we shall use different edge refinement adjustments for the hair and rest of the image.... In fact this idea becomes very handy and useful for the objects which response differently with different edge refinement adjustments... we shall use different refinement adjustments for different types of edges of the object.... Looks like a very quick method. Would love to see you apply it to fluffy female hair on a more chaotic background and give is some more pointers on that.
