I added/changed some things: portable speaker/Google home/Alexa, essential oil diffuser, fairy lights, paper towels/ napkins, makeup remover, and sunscreen. This was an excellent list and covered most of what I’ll need!! I think maybe a few more cleaning supplies would be useful like a mini broom and dust pan as well as hand sanitizer…but honestly there’s not much else I can think of!

I'm just starting college this fall and I was so overwhelmed about all the stuff I'd need to bring so I really appreciate this fairly short, calming video. It helped me make a very basic list and then I added/ took away stuff to suit my own personal needs (also I think we have the same calculator)

While command hooks/strips are helpful for hanging things, a lot of colleges use cheap paint on the walls that peels easily when removing the hooks/strips. Unless you know your walls are made of brick or concrete (in this case command hooks/strips are encouraged), I recommend using thumb tacks or some kind of mounting putty like blue-tac to hang things on walls. Thumbtack holes can be filled with bar soap or chalk at the end of the year.
