What are your go to practice pedals that you need to have on?

I use an Blues driver, Overdrive/Distortion, pickup simulation, (Metal zone, Muff Fuzz, Octave Fuzz i use these for experiment or for fun), chorus, reverb, what do you think to implement Mexican Scales from campirano/sierreño on Country guitar?

Love the idea! I’ve been adding hints of flamenco to my playing while isn’t exactly the same but Mexican/Spanish influence is definitely welcomed in country music - particularly that of the south western style

@@ryansnydercg in mexican music there are many subgeneres, Norteño, Mariachi, Banda Sinaloense, campirano, sierreño, Cumbia, so the most similar is the Norteño music, in texas there is called tejano that's have accordion Bajo quinto, Bass, Drums and the Cowboy hats and boots, the mariachi for me is like the bluegrass, more acousticaly with trumpets and violins, the sierreño is just 1 bass rythm acoustic guitar and accordion, and the campirano is just 1 bass rythm guitar and the lead acoustic guitar of 12 strings, sometimes they on these generes replace the bass for the Tuba but i like more the sound of bass, and sometimes they mix mariachi with norteño and campirano there sound on melody the accordion the trumpets and the 12 strings acoustic guitar, or sometimes they mix norteño with campirano that is just drums bass, bajo quinto and the lead 12 string acoustic guitar changing with the accordion, if you watch ariel camacho or los plebes del rancho you can se what scales they use on the lead 12 acoustic guitar and i think it will be acomplement well with the country guitar. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sRwLKd2hpU4.html

@@Junior1385 Ok I absolutely loved this!! Admittedly I don't know much about Mexican music which is criminal this point - but I loved the music you sent. I need to dive deeper into this genre - any recommendations for further listening? Thanks for the quick lesson my friend.

Very interesting. I somehow always presumed practicing with an entirely clean sound was “better.” You’ve opened my mind to the idea that the functionality of effects extends beyond the desired sound of a final performance. Cool!

Yeah for sure. I think you should practice what you want to hear. Practice clean can be useful but it might not be musical
